In a Psychotic State (T-shirt)

This is probably my most favorite shirt I own. I've never seen another like it. Even looking it up online yielded no same results. It was my dad's back in the day so that gives you an idea of how tight the men's t-shirts were in, I assume, 1982. There are pictures of me wearing this shirt as a little kid because it was given to me to sleep in. Now I proudly wear it as a (sort of) adult!

t-shirt: from Dad | skirt, belt: thrifted | shoes: xhileration - target | earrings: charming charlie

My poor feet are once again torn up from my sparkly loafers. I need to figure out some way to wear them in because my ankles are sad. I walked to campus in them this morning and ended up calling Matt with a plea to "bring me my leopard print flats for the love of god I'm dying". Well, it sort-of sounded like that in my head. They're so pretty, but so painful for walking distances. Luckily Matt is a kindly type of boyfriend so he had them for me just a couple buildings over when I got out of my first class. He also had tortilla chips from lunch which I proceeded to nom up like I hadn't eaten in a week.

It's either the pot of caffeine I just drank or the fact that I just bought four dresses from Modcloth for $58, but I'm feeling quite jittery in a good way! My Mondays always turn out nice even though I spend so much of the day in class. I am a sale fiend! I was seriously in a frenzy buying those dresses though. The clearance sales at Modcloth sell out so fast so I always feel like I'm in a race. Usually I'm too late to get anything in my size, but this one was a great success!

Hooray Monday!

I love that this shirt was your dad's! That is just simply adorable. :)

I'm so jealous of your Modcloth splurge! I don't get paid for two weeks, so I had to prioritize. Food over Modcloth mega sale. :(

This tee shirt is awesome, and even better because it was your dads. I love the red skirt and your loafers are amazing, except I feel bad for your poor feet!

Love this look so much! I need to replicate this because I have all the pieces. I love pairing casual tees with pencil skirts, and those loafers make life more fun :) Happy Tuesday!

How special to have a t-shirt that used to be your dad's, and you styled it so well!! Such a cute outfit. Sorry about the painful shoes, but I'm glad your boyfriend was quick to the rescue :)

I really love the graphic tee and a bright red skirt together. And sounds like you picked a winner - super sweet he'd bring you new shoes and chips. It's a shame about those sparkly loafers since they are just too cute.

Nice T-shirt, so cute that you worn it as a little kid :) And I love how you paired it with this amazing red skirt, looks great together. I'm sorry to hear that the shoes are hurting your feet.

Oh online splurging :) I just nabbed a pair of mint gingerbread man print wedges from ASOS and I was so freaking excited that it had my size.

Wow the top is amazing. I love the story behind it too and it is pretty amazing to see how tight the shirts were back then. I am always in love with the gold shoes. Every time I wear them I like them more. It is such a shame that they are uncomfortable though. I just went a little crazy in the modcloth sale. I bought like 6 items I think but the prices were incredible so I guess that's ok. There was a green dress with a black bow reduced to $26 that I desperately wanted. It was my favourite but it got taken out of my shopping cart while in the process of paying. So annoying!

I wish they'd had some sale stuff in my size! All the dresses were gone :( Love this mix of vintage, glam, and athletics...really cute.

I've never bought a single thing from Modcloth and it saddens me :(. I just don't have that kind of money to spend on clothes. Oh well! Maybe someday :).

I can totally understand how your loafers hurt your feet- I have a glitter tank that I wore once and it rubbed my underarms so raw that they started bleeding. Glitter is beautiful- but most likely something I'll never wear again. Glitter accessories only for me! ;)

Haha, that shirt is awesome! It's a pity the shoes are so uncomfortable - they're so cute...

I was later to the Modcloth sale than I would have liked, so I only ended up getting one sale dress...and one very expensive full-price dress. But I still maintain that it was totally worth it! ;)
