Mint Sweater, Purple Velvet Skirt, & Polka Dot Tights

It's another post in the Georgia snow! Don't worry about my coat-less outfit. It wasn't really that cold outside. Only my feet were frozen in these little silver flats. They're not very insulated! They're not really that comfortable either, but that's another story. I've had this purple velvet skirt for a long time now so I figured I'd try combining purple with mint green. The blue tones in the sweater come out a lot more in photographs, but I promise it's mint green.

This wasn't my favorite outfit ever, but it's something I wore so I'm posting it. It was plenty warm and comfy for my snow day. Plus I wanted to wear a sweater on my time off since I have uniform tops to wear to work right now which means my sweaters are getting neglected.

sweater, skirt, tights: forever 21 (all different years) | shoes: xhileration - target | bow: handmade from my cousin | earrings: from Mom

These tights sure have held up well! I've had them for years! They're made of some really thick nylon or nylon blend and I've yet to get any semblance of a snag in them.

I hope you guys are having a good week so far. I'm just so tired this week! I need an epic nap in the middle of the day but unfortunately can't do that. My coffee in the morning helps.

I also want to say hello to my new followers! You guys are great and I'll definitely try to head over to your blogs toward the end of the week. Thank you to my loyal blog friends who keep visiting and commenting while I adjust to a new schedule this semester. You all make blogging even more fun! I'll take this time to also plug a few of my various social media outlets so you can follow my shenanigans (or lack thereof). My main Twitter is where I talk about a variety of things including those pertaining to this blog. You can also follow my "professional" Twitter (which is pretty new) if you're interested in media-related things or my general work/school life. My Instagram is here. Then there's my Pinterest where I pin tons of tasty-looking foods, outfit inspiration, makeup looks, and nail art.

Have a great Wednesday!

I love it when a pair of tights actually lasts a long time! Too many die after only a few uses! I think this outfit is cute!

Isn't it great when tights last forever? It seems the ones I don't need to last the longest like to live the longest. Like, oh okay, you're not that cool anymore but thanks for lasting this long... not. haha.

And your skirt is so so cute!

Even though this wasn't a favorite outfit of yours, I still LOVE mint and purple together! It just goes together like chocolate and peanut butter.

My toes are now freezing just looking at you in those flats in the snow! I couldn't hardly stand it, but I LOVE snow! Just as long as it isn't touching my skin/non-waterproof clothing anywhere. Then I'm fine ;)

Your Forever 21 outfit looks fabulous. I love the look and feel of velvet and you coordinated the colours beautifully - they are very complementary to each other. I like your polka-dot tights and your mint sweater contrasts very nicely with your pretty red hair. I lie your hairbow too, and your makeup looks nice.

I love the colour of the cardigan! And those tights are so cute. I know what you mean about naps - by 2pm I'm almost falling asleep every single day at my desk at work. It's a shame I can't just take a quick powernap haha!
Have a lovely weekend!
