Happy Friday! Here's an outfit featuring a plaid dress from Target that I've had for quite a few years. It was under my bed in winter storage and didn't get taken out until recently. I figured I should wear it if I'm going to hold onto it. This time I layered a thrifted black sweater and my leather jacket over it. I also added a beret which prompted Jeanie to call me a Scottish biker - or something to that extent. That definitely wasn't my intent, but oh well! This is also the first time I've featured my new Epiphanie camera bag on the blog! It was a Christmas present from Mom and Dad and I love it even though it's about half my size. It's so nicely padded inside and made of really soft red leather.

I just realized there's a lot of layering going on in this outfit and I really like that! I love the mix of texture and subtle pattern mixing too. Even though I only wore this outfit to Chipotle for an early dinner with Jeanie, I enjoyed wearing it. I always like outfits when I remember to wear hats though! Not to mention this dress is pretty comfy. I should wear it more often!
I specifically posted a red dress outfit today for the American Heart Association's Go Red for women campaign. Today is national wear red day! It's a good reminder to be aware of your heart health and take steps to improve and maintain it. Heart disease is the #1 killer of women. I personally need to increase the amount of cardio exercise I get!
Do you guys have anything fun planned for this weekend? I need to relax a little and get some sleep. There also needs to be some blog reading going on. My life is full of excitement! Have a great start to your weekend!
