Meeting Marlen from Messages on a Napkin

Happy Thursday everyone! Sorry I don't have a Things I Love Thursday post today, but my schedule is all screwed up from spring break and having way too much to do. Luckily there was time to meet up with Marlen from Messages on a Napkin today while I'm up in Illinois for a wedding! We had a small world moment when we realized my grandma lives very close to her and I just happened to be staying with my grandma this week.

Marlen, my sister Jeanie, and I met up at Starbucks for a delightful chat including topics like, "why does everyone on Facebook have a baby?," "Atlanta Snowpocalypse 2014 #1 & #2," & "let's stop aging after 21." Then we headed over to my favorite thrift store around town to find some treasures. I didn't find anything, but I figure that's because I found a ton of great stuff during my last two visits.

Here are a few pictures Jeanie took of us after thrifting so you know this actually happened:

Marlen is super funny and sweet. (She also wore an awesome outfit.) It's good to know another blogger around my age in real life. That's right, blog land just became real life. It's weird when that happens, right? If you're not reading her blog, you should be! I'm glad we finally got to meet up!

Have a great rest of your day!

That is so awesome! I am a fan of both of you ladies' blogs so it is nice to see you guys got to meet up. I've yet to meet another blogger in person. There aren't very many near me at all--in fact, I think Utah is the closest I could get to meeting one. Sigh.

Yes, I LOVE Marlen! She was so much fun to hang out with when we met up while she lived here. Hehe, I love the height difference between you two; she was taller than I expected. And seriously, isn't she so fun? I'm glad you got to meet her, too! It's the best meeting bloggers in real life!

Aaah! This is way too cool! I saw that you guys were talkin' about it on twitter and such and I'm so glad that your tweets became reality (that sounds like a really odd book title, hahaha). You two are absolutely precious together. It's funny seeing two fashion bloggers together like this because then you note the height differences, etc, and it's just strange and fun all around!

You guys look so cute! Blogger meet ups are the BEST. Especially one-on-one's. It's amazing how well you can get to know someone based off of the internet. It's kind of perfect.

It's so weird when blog land becomes real life. I've met a couple of people from "blog world" and it is always a little bit bizarre. I know exactly how that feels! haha
