Seafoam Sequined Skater Skirt with a High Neck Top & Silver Sandals

Happy happy Monday everyone! Can you believe it's already June? This past month went by so quickly and I still have a lot I want to do in the upcoming weeks!

These pictures are from earlier in May when Matt and I went to the new Creature Comforts Brewery and wandered about town together. It was a really fun evening. I'll be posting about our trip to the brewery soon so you'll see a few more pictures of this outfit, I'm sure. It's definitely a recent favorite of mine. This seafoam-colored sequined skirt was on clearance at Forever 21 and it fit perfectly, so it had to come home with me. It reminds me of The Little Mermaid for some reason. This high-neck blouse is a recent Target find. I figured it'd basically be great for all seasons depending on how I style it. Plus it pretty much matches everything. Hooray for actually buying something solid-colored and versatile!

Matt took these pictures for me. He's the best. Sometimes extra exuberant faces come out when he takes my picture. Particularly after I just went on a brewery tour/tasting.

There are quite a few things I want to do with this blog in the next couple months. First, a complete layout overhaul needs to happen. That's always daunting to me since it takes me days and days to get things right. I'm not a css master nor a graphic designer. Coming up with a header image/font is difficult enough. I'm too poor to pay for a layout so it'll get done very slowly by me in due time. I also want to start making videos though I'm not 100% sure what type you all would enjoy. A mix of things? Just clothes? Makeup? I don't know. There are too many choices! I want to get back into the YouTube scene (where comments are the meanest and therefore mostly hilarious). I was one of those first people on YouTube when it started back in the MySpace era. I've since deleted all traces of 15-year-old-me vlogging, but the memories are there. I think video content could add a lot to this space.

Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful start to your week!

I love that skirt!!

I keep thinking about YouTube... I don't know why, but recently I've become a bit fascinated by it. Kris watches a lot of gaming related Youtubers and I guess I'm just used to seeing the videos and it doesn't seem so weird to me anymore. But I'm so curious about the idea of talking to my camera, but I wouldn't know where to start. I wonder if you should just start and go from there. Personally, I would like to see what you decide to do. I've started following a few bloggers YouTubes that I love to read just to have a look at this whole YouTube thing.

Plus, on a semi unrelated note. I actually just like to hear what people sound like in person.

This skirt is so awesome! I love it and it definitely has a little mermaid vibe to it.

I think that videos are really cool. I don't have the guts (or know how) to do it but I love watching other bloggers' videos.

I love all the happy faces. It makes all the photos look joyful and energetic. I don't know about YouTube. I think I'm a little bit worried that blogging is being overtaken by it. I still think photography and prose are great. Obviously, do what you want to do! Sometimes I think about it too, but it seems to be a whole different culture. Perhaps that is where the future of this kind of thing is though. Maybe we'll all just have to learn about videos. But dammit, I've only had my DSLR for a year and I still love it! :)
