Outfit: Flannel Shirt, Maroon Leather Skirt, Thigh High Socks, and Black Loafers

This was the outfit I wore to the New Pornographers concert earlier this month. I bought this maroon leather skirt at Forever 21 with a gift card from my birthday. I didn't realize just how short it was until I saw these pictures! I mean, I felt a slight breeze on my butt walking to the venue but I just assumed it was the normal kind of short skirt breeziness. My nether-regions remained covered all evening but I think this is a must-wear-with-tights kind of skirt from now on. Nevertheless, I loved how this outfit turned out. I enjoy the over-the-knee socks look that other bloggers rock so I figured it was time to pull mine out again. Plus this flannel shirt looks good with just about everything and it kept me perfectly warm while out and about in Atlanta.

The concert was absolutely amazing. The New Pornographers is one of my absolute top favorite bands and this was the second time I'd seen them. They encored three times and played "Sing Me Spanish Techno" for their last song. I was hoping with all my might that they'd play it and finally they did! I knew every song. They broke out "Testament to Youth in Verse" among many other tunes spanning most of their albums. They do a great job playing a mix of old and new. I loved it. Can you tell?

I thought this was a very autumnal outfit to share for Thanksgiving week. I'm spending the week with my family at home and plan on eating my fill tomorrow. We never go out of town for the holiday and I like that. It's nice to stay around town. Someday that might be different, but not yet! Do you have any fun Thanksgiving plans?

If I don't blog tomorrow, have a great holiday US readers! Happy Wednesday!

Yes, yes, yes to this look! Short skirts are perfect for nights at concerts :) I really dig your shoes- I've been on a loafer hunting kick lately. Enjoy your Thanksgiving! We are just staying around town too- I really try to not fly anywhere over Thanksgiving or Xmas because it's a nightmare!

Very cute outfit, it's perfect for fall :) I've never gone out of town for Thanksgiving either... All of my family lives about 5 minutes from each other! I love it, I don't think I could ever love far away from them... Even though they drive me crazy sometimes haha

I love this outfit! The colors, the mixture of textures...so good! For some reason, I'm not a fan of leather skirts unless they are this sort of reddish/maroon color. I also love knee-high socks, but I always forget about them! I find them a little hard to style, but that could just be because I hate my thighs...lol.

Wow such a cute colour combo on the shirt! Love that you added the matching skirt! This outfit makes me feek christmassy already with all the green and red! :)

How exciting that you got to see the NP!!!! That's awesome. I don't think the skirt looks short at all, but I know the feeling, which is so weird since being so short, you'd think that "regular" clothing would feel longer!

This is a super cute outfit! The skirt goes perfectly with the socks. I chuckled at 'short skirt breeziness' - it's an official problem. But sounds far more attractive than 'butt breeze'!

I love the colours in this outfit. Even though it is spring here I have seen so much inspiration in blog world that I adore burgundy a lot right now. I love the texture of the skirt too if that makes sense.
