Outfit: Floral Crop Top, Leather Skater Skirt, Fishnet Tights, and Black Loafers

I'm trying to force fishnet tights to make a comeback. I've worn a slightly less traditional pair of fishnet(y) tights on the blog before, but these are straight up traditional fishnets. They've been in my drawer for many years. I wore these to my freshman homecoming so it's the truth when I say they're old! They're actually a really nice pair of sturdy tights, not the fishnets that come with a crappy "sexy" Halloween costume. However you have to be careful that your outfit doesn't actually look like a sexy Halloween costume when you wear fishnets. I don't think a lot of people know it's possible to wear them with a daytime outfit. I think I succeeded in looking like a (relatively) normal human being. Wearing flats and not platform heels may be the key. Plus a fine fishnet pattern, if that makes any sense.

Does anyone else think tights like these look really cool from afar? I'm always a fan of pieces that add a neat texture to an outfit and fishnet tights definitely do that. This faux leather skirt always adds a nice bit of texture to a look too. I just really enjoyed the mix of black pieces in different textures. I tried to make things a little more colorful by wearing this floral crop top though.

Have you guys had a good week? I've been job hunting and doing all that entails. It's been a relatively uneventful November so far. I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving food. I always enjoy that time of year. Actually I enjoy the end of the year period. From October through December. January is always a downer then. In general, it seems like the year gets progressively better with each month. Or is that just me? I'm happy the cool weather has finally rolled in here in Georgia too. I can dig into my box of sweaters that I can only wear 1/4 of the year!

Anyway, I hope you have a fun weekend!

I love November and December because they're close to Christmas! :D January is kind of meh...feels like any other month to me :D
Love the fishnets too, I'm kind of reserved towards them, don't know how to make them less slutty :D But I love what you did with yours, very stylish ^_^

I've been looking for a (faux) leather skirt forever, yours is perfect! Love the floral shirt too and that it matches your hair colour! :) Also hooray for fishnet tights! I've always liked them and would love to see them having a comeback :)

I'm totally down for fishnets coming back. I actually have a REALLY old pair that was legit mom's back in the 70's. They have the seam up the back and everything! I love this outfit! Really fun and not the traditional trashy that can be stereotypical of fishnets!

I am completely up for fishnets making a comeback on other people - they look great on you! But I find them so weird to wear - they don't keep your legs warm! And that is a problem in the UK... I'm on the 100 derniers and fleece-lined already! And I can't even think about January, it would ruin Christmas!! CC x

ah I do love the texture the fishnets add! They give a sorta 3D look in the pics. And you look so pretty in that top. I like your idea about the months, December of course always being the most fun w/ all the festivities, although I tend to like January too. Also yep, you guessed it, my trouble w/ button-ups is precisely in the boob area haha. Although I have discovered lately that I can just wear a tank under and leave the top few buttons undone, but even w/ that I've had no lucky w/ 'em lately.
