Work Outfit: Red Modcloth Sheath Dress, Zebra Print Cardigan, and Tan Peeptoe Heels

My Byline of Work Red Sheath Dress from Modcloth, Zebra Print Cardigan, and Tan Peeptoe Heels

In case you didn't know, Modcloth released their own line of Modcloth-branded designs last week. The line is filled with classic pieces with cute details like scalloped collars, bows, and ruffles. I was chosen as one of the lucky people to help show off one of their new pieces because the designs were inspired by their Style Gallery users. (I was so so excited!) They sent me this completely work appropriate and flattering bright red dress. As you probably know, I really love to wear red with my red hair, so it's a perfect dress for me!

The My Byline of Work Dress seems very well made and sturdy. It's a slightly stretchy knit, but not the type that pills up after one wear. (Hooray!) The ruffled detailing at the bottom makes it more special than a regular sheath dress and makes it particularly fun to walk in since the ruffles wave around. It even has pockets for those cold days ahead (soon please?) when I need to keep my hands warm on the way to work. Unfortunately, it's the slightest bit too long in the torso because I'm so short-waisted, so it looks better with a cardigan right now. I'm going to see if it can be taken up at the shoulders somehow. It's such a great easily remixable work dress, I'd hate to not be able to wear it without a cardigan.

For its debut I paired it with my zebra print cardigan that I somehow forgot I owned and a pair of tan cutout peeptoe heels. These heels are surprisingly comfortable. I wore them for my grad school graduation and now they're perfect work heels because I can walk all the way to work and back without pain. The belt here came with the dress and my silver and gold chevron earrings are from Forever 21.

I feel like I haven't blogged in a while but it's only been a week. Life is just busy lately! A lot of days I come home from work and just don't want to look at a computer anymore. I'm sure a few of you feel like that too. Other than that, things are good! Do you guys have a fun weekend planned? I have to work an event on Sunday so I only really get Saturday off, but I'm probably heading out to Terrapin Brewery to celebrate my sister's birthday. It should be a fun day!

Anyway, I hope you all have a great weekend! Happy Friday!

That red dress is so cute! Longer dresses can sometimes be hard to wear, but you pull it off perfectly. I also love the ruffles on the bottom..
