Outfit: Tacky Green Penguin Sweater, Black Leather Jacket, and a Denim Button Down Skirt

I apologize for the crappy hallway shots but I couldn't resist quickly taking pictures of this outfit before it was dark outside. This sweater is another one I found in the kids' section at Target. It's super comfy and just the right size. I think the penguins are super cute and I always enjoy shades of green paired with my red hair.

For my penguin sweater's debut, I added a new button down skirt from ASOS - which is really quite a sturdy denim - and a new pair of wedge ankle boots. I didn't need another pair of black ankle boots but for some reason I couldn't resist these. They turned out to be incredibly comfortable too, which is always a great surprise because you never really know when a pair of shoes will be super comfy until you've bought them.

jacket: ashley by twenty-six international - ross | sweater: lol vintage - target | skirt: c/o asos | boots: target | hair bow: forever 21

I wore this outfit to work on a day when we did some company volunteer work. People kept commenting on my festive sweater and bright red hair. I guess I never realize that I stand out until I'm out in public meeting new people. What can I say? I like bright colors!

Anyway, can you believe Christmas is this week? I'm looking forward to a break from work and hanging out with family. Do you have any fun plans? Tell me all about them and have a fantastic start to your week!

Every time you say you got something in a kids' section, I smile a little because it's so wonderful that you've got an extra place to look for clothes! You look adorable, and I love the jean skirt! You don't see much of those nowadays.

Have a wonderful holiday season, babe!!

Soooo cute! That sweater is darling, not tacky, IMO. I love holiday sweaters and feel sorry for them in general that they've been seen as little more than a parody item in recent years.

I hope that your holiday season is going fabulously, sweet dear.

Big hugs,
♥ Jessica

I love your green penguin sweater! It coordinates with and complements your pretty red hair, Forever 21 hair-bow and Asos blue denim button down skirt beautifully in addition to having a very Christmassy look!

I hope you have a fashiontastic year 2016!
