Jazz in Millennium Park

Oops. I forgot to post last Friday. I had the idea that I'd have a ton of time to post and tons of things to post about over the summer. However, I've either been too busy or so boring I have no content. Oh well! I'm sure I'll be getting dressed much more often once I start grad school.

These pictures are from last Thursday in Chicago. We went to see a free jazz band concert at Millennium Park with some extended family. I always enjoy seeing free concerts there. We saw The Decemberists backed by a full orchestra there a few years back and it was amazing.
This concert was wonderfully not super crowded and the music was great. It made me want to pick up my trumpet! Unfortunately I didn't bring one to Illinois with me! And I also never really played jazz music. So there's that.

This picture is one of my new favorites.

Another one of those pictures where I'm creeping on you:

Best friends, family style. With our cousin Elizabeth and with Jeanie, of course.
I <3 them both.

Anyway, I'm glad to be back home in Georgia. I plan on relaxing my last couple weeks of summer. Let's hope that plan works out! Happy Monday!

I love me some jazz! Sounds like a fun time. :) For these reasons do I want to live in a city. There aren't awesome free music events that are actually good in my small town! haha

Ahh jazz is so relaxing and the best!! Looks like you guys had a blast and all of you look totally awesome! Chicago is such a gorgeous place, I wish I could go there someday! Heck, I just wish I lived closer to Atlanta so I could go to different festivals like that for a fun day out on the town. My town is so boring! lol
