The Color Run - Atlanta 2014

Happy Monday everyone! I participated in The Color Run this past weekend so I thought I'd share some pictures with you! It was a lot of fun. If you know me you know there is no way I'm ready to run a 5k. (Running is pretty awful in my book.) My best friend from high school organized a group to do The Color Run though, so I said yes to the opportunity! Our group walked and it was great. We all had these tinsel wigs which made us stand out from the crowd. People kept wanting to take pictures with us. Plus I mixed up a light blue shade of OCC lip tar to match my blue tinsel wig. Any excuse for a crazy lip color is good enough in my book!

These pictures don't really go in any particular order so I'll narrate as you scroll through! These first photos are ones we took after the race with powder paint all over us. We mainly ended up turning blue. I still had blue on my legs yesterday. It got all over the place! In my shoes, on my bra, in my nose... It was still a fun event despite the clean-up. If you were wondering, it came off pretty easily in most spots with some light scrubbing!

Here's pre-race with Jeanie.

Right after crossing the finish line, there's a post-race festival where everyone throws up extra powder color packets. I participated in one and then took pictures of the next color throw. The green powder I got stained my hands for two days!

My best friend from high school and me right before the finish line. We like to take jumping pictures. It's kind of a tradition.

And more after race pictures start again!

I hope you guys had a good weekend. On Saturday I did The Color Run (walk) and then we threw my mom a birthday party at our house. Matt, Jeanie, and I made appetizers and got things together. It was a fun time despite my exhaustion. Saturday was quite a long day! We got to relax on Sunday though. There's just so much going on lately.

Have a fantastic Monday!

Ah, congrats on finishing your color run! I always see people do these and they look awesome. I'm not a runner but I'm a biker and wish there were such things as color bike runs, hahaha. Your blue lips are exceptional.

What a fantastic rainbow event! The lip tar was an excellent choice.

Hah, I've heard about these races, they always look completely crazy and fun! (Although digging powered paint out of your nose sounds like maybe not so much fun?)

Looks like you had an amazing time! I may have missed it, but did you run for a charity too? or was it just for the pure fun?
