Outfit: Colorful Bodycon Dress, Black Cardigan, and Black Ankle Boots

I picked up this little colorful bodycon dress over the summer because it seemed highly remixable and it was incredibly inexpensive. I thought it was time to style it for the mild winter weather we've been having lately. (You can see how I wore it in the July heat by clicking here though!) It has a ton of colors in its abstract pattern so I could have tried a more colorful pairing, but black seemed like a good choice that day. I added a black cardigan, plain black tights, and some ankle boots. My pink thrifted earrings were another colorful touch though!

This silhouette is quite the departure from my last outfit post! I don't wear bodycon styles as much because I feel like an a-line shape balances out my lack of hips/butt. Plus you don't have to suck in your food baby as much after a hefty meal. I felt good in this outfit though! It's nice to mix things up. It really was a comfy outfit too!

How was your weekend? Mine was pretty good! I basically just hung out with my family because Jeanie was home this weekend. I played trivia on Friday night and my team won 2nd place. Good times.

In other news, someone over at Buzzfeed used one of my pictures as an example in a very general style tips post. They used a picture I took of my sister at one point too. I wish they'd notify me that they used my picture on their giant website just so I'm not surprised when people let me know about it on Facebook! It's different than a blogger sharing my picture. I understand though. My pictures are labeled as Creative Commons Share Alike so it's a-okay. I just hope people don't say mean things about me in the comments section, though I really like that outfit and I see nothing too offensive about it! Someone did complain about colorful tights adding bulk to the legs and I'm like, it would be really difficult to make my legs look bulky so no. Also who cares?

But anyway, that's about it for today's news. I hope you have a fantastic start to your week!

I love this dress! I generally wear A-line style dresses but I've been on a bit of a bodycon dress kick lately, too. It's fun to change it up! That's awesome that Buzzfeed used one of your pictures. And I could not disagree more with the person who said colored tights add bulk to your legs! That person just doesn't understand fashion. :)

I LOVEthat print!!! Your colourful bodycon dress is gorgeous. You styled it beautifully and look great in it. I didn't realise that Buzzfeed got so many views. Maybe I should post more on my own buzzfeed account (http://www.buzzfeed.com/pantybuns/). I haven't posted much because Buzzfeed wants photos and I don't want to take chances on using photos without permission.
I saw the outfit photo of you that was posted on Buzzfeed (Number 7?). Pretty!
I've released all my lingerie review photos into the public domain, so I don't usually get notified when they're used, but I'd love it if they went viral.
Kudos on your fashion blogging!

I had it out with someone on Pinterest once because of a comment she left on a pin of mine. It wasn't a photo of me, but her comment was something about how if she were that girl she'd cover up her big legs, or something. I don't understand people's need to comment on other people's bodies.

Love that dress!

Jamie, this is the internet, the place where every 1/3 of comments is offensive! :D So don't put it to heart, your outfits rock, there will always be someone who wouldn't like them, but who the hell fucking cares!
I love this bodycon, you're looking hot as ever!

I saw that Buzzfeed post the other day and freaked out a little for you. In the best way. :)

I rarely wear bodycon, but it's definitely a nice change of pace when I want something a little sexier. The bold plus black works well.

Hope you're doing well!

It's quite a compliment to be featured and they do link back to you, but it would have been nice to be directly told. I don't think any one could say anything horrible about you though! Colourful tights are too awesome to worry about whether you look a little 'chunky' - which you certainly do not!

I'm with you on the bodycon, it's not often I wear it and I have to really be in the mood for it. I have a very curved back and pretty much rock a constant food baby so bodycon is reserved for the days when I'm feeling particularly awesome about myself.

This silhouette is just as nice as the a-line tailoring on you for sure! Love the print/colors in this dress. The overall tealish blue really pops with your hair :) And I really like the simple accessories, I almost forgot how much I like sheer tights - totally gotta go find some!

You look AMAZING in this dress! And that's really cool that you are in the Buzzfeed article... that's nice that they linked to your blog too :)

Hope you have a great rest of the week!

As I said on IG, I love this dress and how colourful it is! And of course, congratulations on being featured on Buzzfeed! I've had my nail pics used on large sites like IFLS before and they never notify you or link back to you which SUCKS.
