Outfit: Purple Silk Top, Sequined Seafoam Skater Skirt, Cateye Glasses and a Dotted Neck Tie

Purple Silk Blouse, Polka Dot Tie, Sequined Green Skater Skirt and Cat Eye Glasses

Any excuse to wear a sequined skirt is a good enough excuse for me. I've worn this skirt on completely normal days too, but this specific outfit was worn at my sister's graduation party. Sequins and parties just go together! There's also a Little Mermaid feel going on with this skirt so I had to eventually pair it with this bold purple silk top. I thrifted this shirt a long while ago and love it but the wrinkles just do not want to come out. I tried my best!

To accessorize, I added a short tie around my neck and my delightfully comfy two-toned Steve Madden flats that I got at Shoe Carnival for $15. Isn't it the best when a pair of shoes actually turn out to be substantially comfortable? It's kind of like a lottery when you buy a pair of shoes. Until you wear them during an entire day of walking around, you just don't know! These, luckily, don't hurt and go with practically everything.

So what do you think? Do you get a Little Mermaid vibe going on here too? I actually wore very similar colors back when I first had my hair dyed bright red. You can see that outfit too: I wore the same purple shirt with my scalloped light green shorts. What can I say? Purple looks really good with light green shades!

Did you all have a good weekend? We had a busy one around Atlanta. Matt and I had wings at a bar on Friday, went to Canada Fest to see Sloan on Saturday, and went to an outdoor art festival yesterday before grocery shopping and making homemade pizzas. All in all, a good weekend. I'd love to hear about yours!

Happy Monday!

Outfit: Green Top with Sheer Floral Detail, Black Floral Shorts, and Yellow Wedges

Green Top with Ruffle Sleeves and Floral Neckline, Black Patterned Shorts, and Yellow Wedge Sandals

Happy Friday everyone! I really like how these pictures turned out from our trip out to Andalusia Farm last month, so I'm excited to share them with you. Matt's becoming pretty handy with my camera when we're out and about. I set the settings and he clicks. It's a great partnership.

I'm also a fan of this outfit - which I guess makes sense since I wore it. The mix of vibrant yellow and green looks perfect against both the green backdrops and the wood of the old farm house. (The house in these pictures was apparently where the dairy family that worked on the farm lived.) I hadn't worn this green top in quite a while so I figured it was time to style it in a new way. I dug up this pair of black floral shorts I got from H&M clearance a long while back and added my bright yellow clearance wedges from Target. I guess I find a lot of things on clearance.

This was one of those outfits I just kind of threw together last minute, but it turned out great. Even my accessories were thrown together but I think the yellow bow that matches my shoes and my Jord wood watch are perfect accessories for a day outside in humid hot Georgia.

I hope you all have a fun weekend ahead of you. There are a few events going on here in Atlanta on Saturday so we might check some of them out. I'm also looking forward to getting some sleep because for whatever reason I've been extra sleepy this week. What are you doing this weekend?

Have a happy happy Friday!

Work Outfit: Bow Print Dress, Pink Short Sleeved Cardigan, White Sandals, and a Bouffant

White Boohoo Sandals, Bow Print Dress, and Pink Short Sleeved Cardigan

As you can probably tell, I've been experimenting with some photo locations since I moved. I tried with these but my balcony really isn't large enough for outfit photos! These turned out okay though and they're something different.

I wore this little bow print dress to work the other day. It's the one I bought from the kids' section of Target. (Hooray for being small enough for that! Though it's imperative that an adult shopping in the kids' section can tell the difference between things that could possibly be made for an adult and things that are clearly for humans under 10-years-old. I believe I have the ability to make that judgment.) I paired the dress with a short sleeved cardigan for some color and my white sandals from Boohoo. And look! Another super messy bouffant because why not?

So how is your week going so far? I spent today so incredibly tired for some reason. It was like the sleepiness I experienced for most of high school! I even got plenty of sleep last night. I guess those days just happen though. Other than that, the weekend was good. We had friends over, I was able to play a little Tomb Raider and Matt and I tried out a bakery up the street. Good times!

How was your weekend? I'd love to hear about it!

I hope you have a wonderful week!

Work Outfit: Silver Top, Handmade Red Floral Skirt, and Silver Sandals

Work Outfit: Silver Shirt, Red Floral Pleated Skirt, Cat Eye Glasses, and Silver Sandals

There's something about mixing cool and warm tones that's unexpected and interesting. I enjoy doing it with my makeup, but I decided to try it with my clothes this time! This silver shirt was originally bought as part of an interview outfit but it's versatile enough to wear any time. I paired it with a handmade pleated skirt speckled with orange-y red floral.

These pictures were taken around my new apartment. I'm still trying to figure out some go-to places to take pictures where there aren't ten thousand people staring. It's very awkward taking outfit pictures with a ton of people around, but I'm in the city now so I guess I'll have to get used to it! It's been crappy outside pretty much every other day since I moved too, so there have been even fewer days I could take pictures. I'll get my crap together soon and figure everything out.

I hope you have an absolutely fantastic weekend. I'm definitely excited it's Friday!

Work Outfit: White Shift Dress with Sheer Cutouts and Two-toned Flats

White Shift Dress with Sheer Cutout Hem, Red Bouffant, and Two-toned Flats

Happy Monday! I picked up this shift dress from Boohoo.com a little while back and waited to wear it for some reason. I don't know why, because I love it! I don't have a lot of shift dresses so this one was a welcome addition to my wardrobe. I love the modern mesh cutouts with the classically shaped dress. It also has a texture that reminds me of a reptile print when you look at it up close. I'm sure I'll figure out plenty of ways to wear this white dress but I kept it pretty simple and a little retro for its first time out.

This hugely messy bouffant was a test to see if I could manage getting my hair up. It's long enough with a ton of bobby pins, but I'm still not very skilled at fixing my hair. I blame it on having a hairdresser mom who does my hair way better (and faster) than I ever could. Therefore I never had to learn how to fix mine. That's okay though. My strategy is to throw a giant bow on it. Try it. It helps!

So did you have a good weekend? Matt and I finished unpacking most of the apartment, so it's looking good. We wandered around town some more, had some tasty meals and went to a Mother Mother concert on Saturday night. It was a very nice weekend and I wish we had another day! Tell me about your weekend so I can live vicariously through you?

I hope you have a wonderful start to your week!

Work Outfit: Blue Lace Romper with White Pointed Flats and a Blazer

Black Blazer, Blue Lace Romper, and White Pointed Shoes for Work

Happy Monday! I wore this new blue lace romper to work a little while back and I figured it's about time I showed you guys. It's a comfortable lace material and has a zipper down the back so it's a convenient kind of romper! Have you ever tried to get out of one that has buttons in the back? No thanks. I paired it with a classic black blazer and a pair of white pointed flats I got on clearance on Forever 21's website.

This is the outfit I wore when I got my headshots done for work. I figured the cobalt blue shade would compliment my hair and eyes for picture day! I don't think anybody can go wrong with a color like this though. It looks great on everyone.

So have you ever worn a romper to work? This one is long enough and loose enough that I think it's appropriate for a business casual environment. Everyone at work thought it was a dress most of the day anyway!

Did you have a good weekend? We celebrated Jeanie graduating from college with tons of delicious food and beverages on Saturday. I spent most of Sunday shopping for apartment things and then took a brief trip to Goodwill where I found a white 80s does 50s dress that I can't wait to wear once I give it a wash. It had been way too long since I went thrifting and I was super happy I got the dress for just $3.50!

I hope you have a wonderful start to your week!

Outfit: Fox Print Top, High Waisted Jeans, Brown Clogs, and a Leopard Print Bag

Bright Red Hair, Glasses, Flutter Sleeve Animal Print Shirt, and Jeans

Guess who has some recent pictures to show you? Matt and I took a short walk on the Atlanta BeltLine yesterday and snapped a few photos of my comfy outfit before heading to dinner. I actually wore this outfit to work because it was a casual day, but I've worn this top, jeans, and shoes together with other accessories before. It's a favorite go-to of mine that I hadn't posted here yet!

This fox print top seems to go with everything and I really think it dresses up a standard pair of jeans. The flutter sleeves are kind of fancy, right? I also enjoyed how my leopard print purse looked with the fox print. Who says I can't wear two animal prints at once? Although it probably helps that the fox print is literal foxes and not the print on a fox. (Which would be what? Red?)

Anyway, these clogs are also my favorite lately if you haven't noticed. Never did I think I'd like clogs but these ones are so not frumpy while still being comfortable. Because you guys, shoes must be somewhat cute to be in my wardrobe. I can't get on board with the ugly orthopedic shoe trend going on right now. Just no. It's not a trend that'll grow on me either. I'm glad there are plenty of cute and comfy shoes out there - even if they can be a little hard to find sometimes!

I'm having a fun time exploring our new neighborhood in Atlanta. I've lived in the Atlanta suburbs for over ten years but hardly ever made it into the city so it's like moving to a completely new place - except I'm still pretty close to my family and friends. The apartment is coming along too. Once it's done, maybe I'll show you some pictures if you're interested!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by!
