Outfit: Pink Pencil Skirt, Blue Anchor Print Top, Mint Green Satchel, and White Sandals

Blue Anchor Print Top, Pink Linen Pencil Skirt, Mint Green Brit-Stitch Purse, White Sandals, and Bright Red Hair

Have you ever put together an outfit and then taken a step back to bask in the glory of your color mixing skills? No? Well then never mind; neither do I.

I do have to admit I'm kind of in love with the color mixing going on in this look though. I picked up this cute anchor print top from a Modcloth sale a few weeks back. I couldn't resist the vibrant blue mixed with the anchor print. Although I'm not a huge fan of beaches, I do enjoy a good nautical-inspired clothing item. Instead of pairing it with the usual red, I went with this pink linen pencil skirt I thrifted many moons ago. I always wonder why I don't wear it all that often, but whenever I put it on again I'm reassured that it's a good thing I've held on to it for so long.

For accessories, I grabbed the mint green Brit-stitch bag Modcloth sent to me a month or so ago because the colors all play together so nicely. The white sunglasses were a Walmart clearance find years ago and the sandals are a very comfortable pair from

I'm pretty sure I wore this outfit to work with a white cardigan and ditched the cardigan and added the satchel bag for wandering around town with Matt. We walked up to a local market building and grabbed a growler to take back and relax at the apartment. It was a very nice evening! It's neat to have places like this within walking distance.

Anyway, I hope you all have a fantastic weekend ahead of you. I'm very very excited it's the weekend and am looking forward to some much needed relaxation. The kind where I don't get off my butt for hours on end. How about you? I want to hear about your exciting plans!

Happy Friday!

My exciting plans are the same as yours. Hahaha
And this outfit has some really lovely color mixing going on. The mint color of the bag gives the whole look an extra touch.

Oooooh there's nothing better than a pink skirt! I love that on ya, girly.

And no exciting plans here... probably just going to be working on art stuff, biking in the cool mornings (its been nice down here this week in the mornings, hasn't it? Just Alabama, or is that Georgia, too?), and maybe grabbing lunch and Starbucks with my dad tomorrow.

The deep pink colour of your skirt is very pretty and complements your blue anchor print top beautifully.

It always amazes me how well pink and blue go together! I did it once and loved it! I never would have thought to try it but for some reason I did and now I love the pairing! Same happened after I wore a dress with yellow and blue. At first, I wasn't too sure and now I pair yellow and blue all the time! Blue is a sneaky sneaky color... ;)
