Outfit: Daisy Print Skort Romper, Black Leather Jacket, and Cutout Boots

Image
I thrifted this daisy print romper a couple years back and don't wear it nearly often enough. Everyone always thinks it's a dress because of the skort front, but then surprise - it's shorts! That definitely makes it a perfect piece for bopping around town on a windy day. I styled it for cool weather with a pair of basic black tights, my trusty faux leather jacket, and some cutout boot-flat hybrid shoes from Boohoo.  I probably could style this romper with some colorful tights or a bright cardigan next time. I'm trying to think of some new ways to wear it but sometimes it's just nice to wear it on its own with some sandals. Though that'll have to wait until the weather warms up, which should be right around the corner here in Georgia. You wouldn't know it looking outside today! It's been raining all week.  jacket: ashley by twenty-six international - ross | romper: thrifted | shoes: boohoo | sunglasses: c/o boohoo How has your week been?...

Outfit: Gray Wool Coat, Leopard Print Circle Scarf, Maroon Skirt, and Sheer Leopard Tights

Image
I picked up this gray wool blend coat from a Forever 21 sale over the summer because I figured I could use a new coat in a neutral color once it got cold. I had no idea what "boucle" was though. It seemed like some sort of textured wool, which was pretty correct I think. Apparently boucle is an uneven weave formed into loops. If you didn't know that, you learned something new today! Anyway, this coat has been keeping me warm this season with its detachable faux fur collar. I've been pairing it with my gray leopard print circle scarf a lot, which you can see here. For this outfit, I went with some double leopard print. These tights were buried in a bag under my bed for some reason so that's why you haven't seen them in years. They have a hole in them (on the back) but I remembered it being a lot worse so I think they just were forgotten. Luckily the hole isn't bad enough to not wear them! I happily wore them with my maroon skater skirt again and a...

Outfit: Olive Green Sweater over a Floral Top, Pleated Leather Skirt, and Cutout Boots

Image
Happy happy Monday to you! I hope you had a fantastic weekend but now it's time to get back to reality. Luckily I have an outfit post to slightly brighten your day - I hope? I actually wore this to work on a more casual day but it's something I'd wear any day. This olive green sweater is one of my favorites for this time of the year. The v-neck and thin knit makes it great for layering over my many button down tops. This time I put it over a floral print button down crop top because it complimented the green shades in the floral print. Then I added my faux leather pleated skirt and cutout ankle boots. Matt took these pictures for me while we were out walking Riker after work. Sadly it gets dark by the time we're home from work now and Riker has to walk around in the dark. I'll have to give you a Riker pupdate sometime soon. He just keeps growing! sweater: target | floral shirt: h&m | skirt: forever 21 | boots: boohoo So did you have a good wee...

Outfit: Jean Jacket with a Floral Print Romper and Cutout Boots

Image
jean jacket: so... - thrifted | romper: xhileration - target | tights: walmart | boots: boohoo | necklace: gift | glasses: zenni optical I have a couple cooler weather outfits to show you from last month before they become extremely irrelevant. Here's one of them! For some reason I'd never worn tights with a romper before this. I guess I figured they're already so difficult to get off to use bathroom facilities that tights would add another awful step. Luckily they didn't make it a much larger problem. Plus this floral print romper is so incredibly short and flowy that the added tights coverage was nice.  This kind of felt like a fall outfit to me which is a-okay in my book. I'm actually dreading the humid summer heat we get here in Georgia and wish I could skip ahead to cooler days. You know how people dread winter because they hate leaving the house and going out in the cold? Well it's like that in the summer here - except hot. I spend most of the ti...

Outfit: Black Turtleneck T-shirt, Leopard Print Skater Skirt, and Heart Print Tights

Image
Somehow this outfit from late February managed to not get posted until now! It's not even that I didn't like it. (I did and do!) I just ended up picking other ones to post and realized it's nearing the end of March. It's about time to get any backlogged outfits from February onto the interwebz. I can't be the only style blogger this happens to though! Anyway, I recently bought this classic black turtleneck t-shirt from Boohoo. I've been scouring stores around here for one like this and finally just went ahead and ordered one. It goes with everything and is incredibly soft. For its first time out I styled it with my neoprene leopard print skater skirt and added heart print sweater tights for warmth. It was pretty chilly the day I took these pictures and I was glad to get back inside and throw a blanket on.  top, shoes: boohoo | skirt, tights: forever 21 I also had some awesome colorful makeup on this day and a new dark lipstick from Nyx. These picture...

Outfit: Red Ralph Lauren Blazer with a Rose Print Dress

Image
Happy Wednesday! I thought I'd show you an outfit made mostly of old pieces since my last post was full of new things. This rose print dress was one of my first thrift finds from a few years back when I really started getting into thrifting. It was definitely $1 or less at the thrift store outlet around here. Yes. A thrift store outlet. It's completely sheer and has the most horrendous puffy yet too long sleeves. The second button pops open all the time too, yet I've held onto it. I think that's mostly because it looks so good with this red blazer I also thrifted, but also because it reminds me of the days when I thrifted all the time.  I wore this dress and blazer together years ago before I had this blog. It was about time to pull these pieces out of the closet again! This time I styled it a bit differently with gray tights and my cutout boots/flats. (What are these shoes considered anyway? I just like them.)  dress: thrifted | blazer: ralph lauren - thrifted...

Outfit: Leather Jacket, Denim Button Down, White Lace Skirt, & Red Tights

Image
Happy Monday everyone! I'm a little behind posting this outfit since I don't always post in chronological order. I wore this up in Illinois in early October. I can't believe it's already been almost a month since then. Now it's actually cool enough at home to wear something like this though! I enjoy the mix of texture in this outfit. Leather, lace, and denim. This lace skater skirt is a relatively recent purchase. I thought it'd be a versatile piece in my wardrobe even if it's a bit short. I added my denim top which was happily fished out of my cool-weather-clothes-box before the trip. Red tights and a red bow added a cheerful touch of color to an otherwise neutral outfit. top, skirt: forever 21 | jacket: ross dress for less | tights: kmart | shoes: boohoo | bow: euberah Somehow my leather jacket makes anything I wear more badass. Do you guys find that happens to you too? The duo of this jacket and my cutout boots created an ultimate cool combi...

Outfit: Striped Bodycon Dress, Purple Cardigan, and Silver Oxford Shoes

Image
This was a forgotten outfit, somehow. I wore this back in late May and recently realized I hadn't posted it. I actually really liked how it turned out with the mix of silver and purple. This striped bodycon dress is different than most of the silhouettes in my wardrobe so I enjoyed styling it. I used some credits to Sheinside I won from The Clothes Horse to get it. I figured if it didn't work out I wouldn't be out any money so I might as well try something new. I tried to dress down this dress by pairing it with a comfy cardigan and flat shoes, but it could definitely be worn for a night out with heels. Wearing bodycon dresses means your food baby from chicken nuggets and hot dogs is super apparent though, so keep that in mind when wearing bodycon things to graduation parties. dress: sheinside | cardigan: forever 21 | shoes: sam & libby - target | necklace: sheinside I really like how the stripes on this dress create the illusion of curves on my body.
