I found this Hawaiian floral print gem at the thrift store when I was visiting in Illinois. It was only $4 so I had to buy it even though it's a little big on me. I really love the colors in the pattern. Sometimes I have to dress like a Hawaii tourist or a Florida retiree, so this fits the bill. I also decided to wear a glorious pair of parrot earrings with this ensemble. Happy Monday! I can't believe another week is over already. This summer went by so quickly. Here's an outfit I wore on a day that wasn't a billion degrees outside. I really wanted to wear the Levi's I bought at Macy's a couple months back. They were such an amazing deal. There weren't any others like them around so I assume somebody bought them online, didn't like them, and returned them. I figured I might as well try them on so I'd know how a pair like this fit me even though they're a size larger than I'd usually buy. I wore this futuristic looking dress to our family reunion last Saturday. It was a recent purchase from Boohoo after I (very luckily) won credit from a Broke and Beautiful giveaway. It reminds me of something Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century would wear. Or maybe one of her space station friends. It's definitely the sleeves that give it that vibe. Plus the print is kind of modern and cool too. I hope it's not just me who thinks this looks like a Zenon dress. How is it Friday already? This week went by entirely too fast. I wore this polka dot dress on Sunday to hang out with some family friends. These fantastically yellow wedges are a recent Target purchase. I swear I always find the best shoes at Target. Mom spotted this pair for me though. They were on clearance for $7 so I had to buy them even though I have about a billion pairs of shoes. They were the only ones left and just happened to be my size. My justification is that I didn't have any yellow shoes yet. Can you ever really have too many shoes? Happy Monday! I wore this on Friday for a pizza buffet dinner with Jeanie and then a night out with friends. I don't wear jeans super often because I have so many other clothes I enjoy wearing, but I really like these jeans. It's hard to find a cheap pair of modern high-waisted jeans! Next time I see a pair like these at Forever 21 I'm going to snatch them up because these are really not built to last. I paired the jeans with a tie-dye-ish top I got on clearance at Target and my black faux leather jacket. This jacket is proving to be a trusty item in my wardrobe. I'm sure I'll be breaking it out as soon as possible next fall. My boots here have served me well for well over a year now and they actually aren't that bad for walking around downtown all night. (I even made it through some epic white girl dancing at a bar that only plays 90s music.) My feet only hurt the next day! Happy Labor Day weekend! I'm sure glad to have a few days off. Things have been busy even though I've just been doing normal class stuff. I don't even want to think about when I have to do presentations and tests and crap, so I won't. I'm excited to do some things that aren't school for the next couple days. Hello and happy August! Seriously, how is it August? I'm already mourning the summer and my epic laziness. I bought this shirt on clearance at Target the other day for $10. I've been wanting more blouses, so this definitely was a great find. The colors are so pretty and I love a good bow collar. All the bright colors brightened up the cloudy day. I paired my fantastic high-waisted linen shorts with my new blouse.
