Outfit: White Sleeveless Shirt Dress, Gold Belt, & Snakeskin Flats

Image
Happy Monday everyone! This summery white cotton dress is the last piece online retailer Tobi sent me to style. It's a fantastic staple to have in my closet and I've already worn it a couple different ways. I do wish it was a little less easy to wrinkle but I guess that's what you get with cotton. The size I ordered (M) was just slightly too big for me too, so I had to watch my side bra area wasn't hanging out, (but it was remedied with a different bra on another wear.) Other than that, the dress has pockets and is lined to prevent any white cotton transparency issues! They even have it in black if you prefer that, but I think I have plenty of black dresses already. For this dress' first day out, I styled it with a stretchy gold belt that looks like gold coins. I thrifted the belt last year because I thought it was so neat and didn't wear it until yesterday! Do you ever do that? Sometimes you just have to buy things when you're thrifting even if yo...

Outfit: Light Blue Lace Dress with Purple Tights and Colorful Snakeskin Flats

Image
Happy Presidents Day to all my American readers. I enjoyed a nice day off today which wasn't highly relaxing but was still good. I'm happy to show you a brand new outfit post this evening. I liked this outfit so much I wore it twice already! There's something about the light blue dress with these purple tights that works so wonderfully. Add in the ridiculously busy yet awesome snakeskin flats and it's a perfect outfit. (At least I think so!) I picked up this little light blue lace dress from a Forever 21 sale. It's sheer in the back and I'm excited to style it in the summer time too. But for now it looks great - and more work appropriate - with a black cropped cardigan. The flats keep it a little more okay for work too since it is  a little bit short. My butt is covered though and that's the most important thing, right? dress: forever 21 | tights: kmart | cardigan: old navy | shoes: journeys So how was your weekend? I spent some time with fami...

A Jeanie Outfit: Western Style Shirt & Cutoff Shorts

Image
Good thing I had this Jeanie outfit all edited because I'm super behind on my school work tonight! Jeanie wore this over the summer. I really like her western-style button-down shirt and how perfectly it matches her sandals. I actually wish I had a pair of those sandals because Jeanie said they're comfy and I also love the snake skin pattern on them.  blouse: forever 21 | shorts: thrifted | shoes: rack room shoes | ring: forever 21 Sorry for the short post, but I have a ton of stuff to do before class. Have a nice Monday! I'm just hoping I get some sleep.

A Jeanie Outfit: Bow Print Dress for an Interview

Image
It was Jeanie's 20th birthday on Tuesday so it's time for a Jeanie outfit. Congratulations on making it out of teenager times! This outfit is about two months old now, but it's still very wearable in our heat. I guess I forgot to post it! Jeanie wore this to an interview for her summer internship. The many bows are right up my alley. dress: forever 21? | shoes: rack room shoes Sorry I missed my Thursday post yesterday. I've been trying to get some things done before I head back to school! And thank you for the cheerful comments on my last post. I'm feeling much less crappy right now! Have a happy Friday!

Floral Cardigan, Maroon Dress, & Snake Skin Flats

Image
Happy Friday! I wore this dress and cardigan combination to my last class of the semester yesterday. (Unfortunately I have three final papers to write within the next week.) This dress is so incredibly comfortable sometimes I like to call it my pajama dress. I could seriously sleep in it. I have it in black too, which strangely hasn't been photographed for the blog. I love to throw these dresses on for comfy days or when I don't feel like coming up with an original outfit.  dress: forever 21 | floral cardigan: old navy |  snake print flats: CL for chinese laundry - ross dress for less | flower hair clip: forever 21 I have a lot of work ahead of me this weekend, but I'll do my best to stay sane with as many breaks as possible and plenty of coffee and tea. Good luck with the end of the semester all you people still in school!

Denim Shorts, Purple Blouse, & Snake Print Flats

It's already Wednesday! Time feels like it's flying lately - which makes me feel overwhelmed since I constantly have deadlines for school. Anyway, I'm wearing this today. All I'm doing is going over to campus tonight with Matt to get a study room and get work done. Maybe a change of scenery will motivate me a bit. That's what I'm hoping! top, earrings: thrifted | shorts: levi's - thrifted | shoes: sarah-jayne - journeys | belt: from Mom | hair bow: forever 21 These shorts are always a good go-to choice for me. They're comfortable and wonderfully high-waisted. The waist size is on the back label, so I'm pretty sure they're a boys' pair. I guess I just have to look for more old boys' jeans to cut off. They have the best fit out of any cutoffs I have. I'm pretty sure that's because the hips are completely straight. Because if you haven't noticed, I have pretty much zero hips going on and sometimes that's an issue...

Hodgson's, Ice Cream, & High School Inspiration

Image
Hello! I can't believe it's already Wednesday again. I actually got out of the apartment today though even though I haven't done any of the reading I need to get done for Friday. Oops. Jeanie and I went to a local pharmacy up the street called Hodgson's for some $1 ice cream. It was delicious and we got to take pictures with the colorful bulldog statue outside. They have these bulldogs all over Athens. They're all decorated in different ways and most of them are so cute. How can a bulldog not be cute? This one is by Hodgson's and a local coffee chain called Jittery Joe's hence the coffee mug decoration. We enjoyed our delicious peanut butter cup ice cream. It probably wasn't necessary after our dinner of wings last night, but it was worth the short walk! I've been feeling some really weird nostalgia for things I liked in early high school, so I figured I'd wear an outfit inspired by those days! I was pretty much always in t-shir...
