Blue Lipstick with a Denim Pinafore, Green Top, & a Dinosaur Print Bow

Image
I did it. I broke out the blue NYX Macaron lipstick I bought last month and I actually think it worked! I tried my hardest to showcase a somewhat wearable look with blue lipstick. Bold lipstick is definitely another accessory in an outfit so I tried to keep the rest of the look relatively toned down. At least, toned down for me. One simple pattern, a solid top, and clear studded sandals. My main accessories were my awesome dinosaur bow and the crazy blue lipstick.  I hope this inspires some of you to step outside your makeup comfort zone, though I know blue lipstick isn't everyone's cup of tea. I did  only go water plants for a friend the day I wore this so the blue lips have yet to step into a store or anything. It'll happen soon.  pinafore: forever 21 | top: forever 21 | shoes: boohoo | bow: handmade | lipstick: nyx macaron in blue velvet I hope you're all having a fantastic week. I feel like I've been plagued with eternal sleepiness the past fe...

Spider-man Shirt, Super Hero Bow, & Polka Dot Shorts

Image
Happy Monday everyone! Here's an outfit I wore a couple weeks ago. Sometimes you just have to wear a Spider-man shirt. Or is that just me? I got this one in the boys' section of Target back in high school and it still gets worn pretty frequently. This time I paired it with some polka dot shorts and a superhero hair bow my cousin bought me for Christmas. The temptation to be matchy when I have a superhero bow and superhero shirt is too strong to resist.  t-shirt: target | shorts: forever 21 | sandals: boohoo | bow: gift Look at me. I'm so strong and pale. Did you guys have a good weekend? I did some school work and went to a beer festival at Terrapin Brewery. I wish the weekend was longer though!

Navy Striped Dress, Spiky Shoes, and a Bouffant

Remember my mustache dress I wore a few posts back? Well this is the same Walmart child dress with a different pattern! I think I'll get more wear out of this classic striped number than the mustache print one, but they were both so inexpensive it really doesn't matter. I can definitely see this dress worn a number of different ways - especially in cooler weather with tights and various layering items. Its first time out needed to have a nautical vibe though. Gold and navy blue always look great together. Plus I had new anchor earrings to wear. How would you wear a striped dress like this?  dress: faded glory - walmart | shoes: boohoo | belt: thrifted | anchor earrings: forever 21 | necklace: great grandma collection In other life news I began the process of moving Matt into my apartment over the weekend. That meant clearing out a lot of my clothes and taking them home. Sad times. Though there were things there that I haven't worn in a long time so I gues...

Ariel Inspired Outfit: Purple Top, Green Shorts, & Very Red Hair

Image
Happy Monday everyone! Since I decided to sport some bright red hair for the end of summer, I figured it was only necessary to wear a very Little Mermaid-inspired outfit. These pictures were from the first day after dying my hair so it's super bright! It's not natural by any means, but it's fun. It'll be back to its normal red soon enough, so I'm really enjoying the change-up.  I think maybe my Ariel outfit was more apparent to me than to most other people. I was pretty sure people would be commenting on it (or pointing and laughing), but that wasn't the case. Mom and Jeanie saw the inspiration though! top: thrifted | shorts: forever 21 | shoes: boohoo How cool are these new shoes? I think they're so neat! They came with a warning to be careful not to spike yourself so they must be dangerously cool. I hope you had a good weekend. I had a family reunion to attend so my Saturday was busy. Yesterday I spent too much on Target cle...
