Outfit: Fox Print Top with a Khaki Green Lace Skater Skirt

Image
Sometimes I buy clothes at Walmart and I'm not even ashamed. The other day I was over there looking for pieces for a Dragon Con costume and came across a bunch of lace skater skirts. I'm a fan of khaki green as a neutral-that-isn't-neutral so I just had to buy this skirt. Plus it was like $8 and an appropriate-enough length to wear to work. Win. So for its debut I paired it with my cute fox print shirt from Boohoo, which is one of my favorites because it seems to look good with everything. I enjoyed the mix of muted green with orange which you don't often see.  This is the kind of outfit I wear when I want to pretend fall is around the corner even though it most definitely is not here in Georgia. Khaki green just feels like fall to me! I know it's still August, but I'm ready for it to not be 90+ degrees outside.  top: boohoo | skirt: walmart | shoes: korks - shoe carnival | earrings: thrifted So are you having a good weekend? New Stuff!

Image
You guys. I've acquired way too much new stuff over the past couple of weeks. I think I'm actually going to have to leave some stuff at home when I go back to school. And also I need to not spend any more money. But that's the moral of my story almost all the time. So I figured I'd share my new stuff with you since a lot of it is great thrift finds or bargains and I always love hearing about people's bargain finds. First up: my tiger head dress courtesy of PersunMall which you guys saw yesterday. I think it'll be cool paired with some boots in the fall. Or maybe a colorful cardigan and flats. The 80s dress I found at Savers up in Illinois. It fits me perfectly and I need to wear it asap. New bows! And thrifted scarves! I spent too much on this OCC Lip Tar in Queen but it's so pretty! Clothes thrifted at my favorite thrift store in Illinois. All very inexpensive. I think I paid $24 for the whole lot plus the scarves above, two books,...

Rawr!: A Tiger Head Dress from PersunMall

Image
Happy Friday everyone! PersunMall  is sponsoring me this month and kindly sent me this Tiger Head dress . I included it on my wishlist post for them a little bit ago because it was so cool. It's definitely trendy and something I don't already have in my wardrobe. The material is a stretchy knit so it's very comfortable and I don't have to iron it (which is always a bonus when I'm running late). Unfortunately it doesn't fit like I thought it would, though it's still cute. It was supposed to be more of a skater dress look but the waist of the dress hits below my natural waist. I attribute that to my short torso - one of many banes of my existence. Luckily the different fit distinguishes this dress from the many dresses I have that are fitted at my natural waist. I'm looking forward to styling my tiger dress with the jean jacket I thrifted once it gets cool outside. tiger dress: c/o persunmall | shoes: cherokee - target | leaf ring: c/o persunmall...

A Jeanie Outfit: Deer Print Dress, Wayfarers, & Clog Sandals

Image
Happy Monday everyone! Here's an outfit Jeanie wore the other day. We both bought this same dress in different patterns in the Target kids' section the other day. Hers has little happy deer all over it. This outfit is almost entirely from the kids' department at Target though. Which means either adults are wearing adult-looking outfits or we're wearing childish outfits. I like to assume it's the first situation. Either way, this outfit is da bomb. And you'll be seeing my black bow print version of this dress sometime soon, I'm sure. dress: cherokee - target | shoes: cherokee- target | necklace: forever 21 | sunglasses: dollar tree Little happy deer closeup time: I hope you had a jolly weekend. I've been super busy visiting people and whatnot. It's been good but I usually feel ready to come home by the end of our trip. I won't have too much time to relax before getting back to the grad school grind so I'm looking forward to do...
