Navy Polka Dot Skirt, Blue Blouse, Silver Sandals, and Polka Dot Sunglasses at the Botanical Garden

Image
Happy Friday everyone! Finally, here are some photos from our spring trip to the botanical garden in Athens, Georgia . They're the outfit-tastic pictures so I have others to share later. It was such a nice day. Matt and I wandered through the nature trail and sat by a stream for a little while. I packed an apple snack and we relaxed. We found the Oconee river deeper into the trail too. It was nice to actually see sunlight and be outdoors. I hardly see daylight working the schedule I work!  I had to wear something cute enough for pictures but also practical enough to wander through the nature trail. These sandals are really comfortable and are stable enough with their ankle strap. I went with a double blue color scheme with my blue button-down and a navy blue polka dot skirt. It's kind of a simple outfit, but I really liked it. It's definitely a spring look! top: new york & co. | skirt: forever 21 | sandals: rocket dog - shoe carnival | sunglasses: forever 21 ...

November at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia

Image
Matt and I went out to the State Botanical Garden of Georgia last fall and we got quite a few nice pictures, so we had to repeat that trip this year. I like to get at least a couple good pictures of us together each year. What's a better time than while the fall colors are still around? We don't go over to the botanical garden nearly enough even though it's down the street! Maybe I can convince Matt we need to take another trip there next week? what I'm wearing - top: thrifted | jeans: forever 21 | shoes: boohoo Matt just loves when I take pictures of him... I hope you guys had a nice week. Mine has been busy, but I still have a ton of school work to get done this weekend. It'll be a writing papers kind of weekend. (The most exciting kind!) It gets hard to stay motivated around this time in the semester. Thanksgiving break is around the corner, though I'll still have a bunch of work to do over the "break". Oh well! At least there ...

November Trip to the Georgia Botanical Gardens

Image
We finally got out to the botanical gardens to take some pictures among the fall leaves. I think we missed some of the foliage, but there was still plenty to look at. Matt likes going to the gardens and walking the trails and I try to keep up as I take way too many pictures. He humored me this time by letting me take pictures of us together. I try to add to the small collection of decent pictures we have whenever I get a chance. Let's just say we're opposites when it comes to having pictures taken of us. Luckily a few turned out alright this time! Going through the pictures was pretty hilarious. We're making weird faces in most of them or talking to each other. This next one was me gracefully slipping when I had the bright idea of taking a picture with that fungus-covered log on the left there. Luckily Matt was there to help me so I didn't end up with a lovely picture of me on the ground. What I'm wearing in case you were wondering: |...

Botanical Fun

Image
These pictures are from my outing to The State Botanical Garden of Georgia, which just so happens to be conveniently located about 8 minutes from my apartment. There were still a nice amount of flowers blooming so it was really pretty. I decided I needed to get more wears out of my pretty Steal the Game Show dress from Modcloth so I took some inspiration from other bloggers and wore it as a skirt! I actually really liked how this outfit turned out. Plus it was easy to walk around in all day because I wore nice, comfy Keds. dress (worn as a skirt): Modcloth.com blouse, belt, bag: thrifted cardigan: ann taylor loft; thrifted shoes: keds sunglasses: kohls earrings: forever 21 I quite enjoyed my brightly colored nails. They're China Glaze Papaya Punch with an accent nail of Electrify from the Capitol Colours collection. I've been loving having the whole Capitol Colours collection. Especially since it's Hunger Games themed. If there...
