Outfit: Floral and Bow Print Dress, Teal Cardigan, Blue Flats, and Retro Hair

Image
Happy Easter to all of you who celebrate! I wanted to post a particularly spring-y outfit to mark such a spring-tastic holiday. I wore this floral and bow print Pepaloves dress to work just the other day. It's one of those dresses I really love but don't wear super often. Maybe it's because it seems so memorable people might notice if I wore it all the time? Or maybe I just need to find more cropped cardigans so I can wear it with more colors. A nice pink one would be good... Anyway, I paired it with my teal cropped cardigan from Delia's (which is really the perfect cropped cardigan for me) and my pointed royal blue flats. I've been putting my hair up again more often so it's in this slightly messy bouffant with flower hair clips to match the dress. It's funny how I was pretty decent at getting my hair in a bouffant before I cut my hair super short two years ago. Then once it grew out again I had to relearn. There were a couple mornings I spent ...

Outfit: Houndstooth Shorts, Glitter Back Seam Tights, and a Bow Print Shirt

There's just something about houndstooth that really appeals to me. Maybe it's the versatile black and white print or that it looks so perfect paired with red, which is one of my favorite colors to wear. Either way, I keep collecting houndstooth pieces! I bought these houndstooth shorts a year or so ago. I remember trying on a pair but not finding my size in store so I ordered what I assumed would be my size online and they were perfect. Isn't it great when that happens? I'd been missing wearing shorts with tights this season, so here I am again in a shorts and tights outfit. I paired the shorts with my glittery faux back seam tights, a comfy graphic tee with a striped red bow on it, studded black loafers, and my trusty leather jacket. There's a lot of red, white, and black going on here - a favorite color combination of mine in winter even though it's not quite winter yet. jacket: ashley by twenty-six international - ross | top, shorts, tights: fo...

Work Outfit: Bow Print Dress, Pink Short Sleeved Cardigan, White Sandals, and a Bouffant

Image
As you can probably tell, I've been experimenting with some photo locations since I moved. I tried with these but my balcony really isn't large enough for outfit photos! These turned out okay though and they're something different.  I wore this little bow print dress to work the other day. It's the one I bought from the kids' section of Target. (Hooray for being small enough for that! Though it's imperative that an adult shopping in the kids' section can tell the difference between things that could possibly be made for an adult and things that are clearly for humans under 10-years-old. I believe I have the ability to make that judgment.) I paired the dress with a short sleeved cardigan for some color and my white sandals from Boohoo. And look! Another super messy bouffant because why not? dress: target | cardigan: forever 21 | sandals: boohoo | hair bow: handmade | glasses: zenni optical | earrings: great grandma's? So how is your week...

Bow Print Dress, Blue Cardigan, Lace Print Tights, & a Galaxy Bow

Image
I think this is my last set of outfit pictures with longer hair, you guys. It's just a simple dress and cardigan pairing but I thought it looked cute enough to post here. It won't be long until I can't even wear this small amount of layers. Ugh summer in Georgia. Actually ugh spring/summer/fall in Georgia. It's essentially the same. Too hot. But anyway, I wear this bow print dress from the kids' section in Target way more often than it's photographed. It's really comfortable! And yes, it's actually a dress for children. Apparently very large children. I'm not sure why a child of this size would be shopping in the kids' department in the first place... but obviously I benefit from the XL size in the kids' department! dress: cherokee - target | cardigan: new york & co. | tights: forever 21 | boots: boohoo | necklace: from matt's boyscout days | bow: handmade In other news, does anybody know how to make one of those hat...

Little Mermaid Shirt, Houndstooth Mini Skirt, Teal Cardigan, & Bow Print Tights

Image
Happy Thursday everyone! Here's an outfit I wore featuring not one, but two Little Mermaid items. Jeanie bought me this Little Mermaid shirt for Christmas and I love it. I figured it was only appropriate to pair it with a new Little Mermaid hair bow made by my cousin! I also mixed my houndstooth mini skirt and bow print tights for some fun pattern mixing. I always enjoy wearing those two pieces together. This skirt hardly looks like houndstooth from far away though. Oh well! I assure you it is. skirt: thrifted | top: delia's - gift | cardigan: delia's | tights: forever 21 | shoes: delia's - gift | bow: handmade These bow print tights are one of my favorite pairs. I'm going to be so sad when they get a hole so big I can't wear them anymore! If I find a backup pair I'll definitely buy them! Sorry I've been slacking in blog land lately. I started a full time internship this week and I'm doing that - including commute - for about 1...

A Kids' Bow Dress, Pink Sandals, and Cat Eye Sunglasses

Image
This is the kind of outfit you're most likely to see me sporting around campus this time of year. Especially when I don't have time to think about an elaborately put-together outfit! You really can't go wrong with a comfy dress and flats. This dress is the one I recently found in the kids' section at Target (for $17). You can see Jeanie's deer print version in this post . I really love the cute little bow print on this one. It'll go with all kinds of different tights when the weather cools down too. I'm pretty pumped about it! dress: cherokee - target | sandals: ross dress for less? | bracelet: gift | sunglasses: dollar tree | earrings: forever 21 Here's a nice picture where Matt made me look like a giant! Pretty glorious isn't it? Oh and did I mention this dress has a cute little cutout in the back. Breezy, yet covers the bra zone! I've already started to wish it was fall and broke out a pumpkin beer last week. In Aug...

A Jeanie Outfit: Bow Print Dress for an Interview

Image
It was Jeanie's 20th birthday on Tuesday so it's time for a Jeanie outfit. Congratulations on making it out of teenager times! This outfit is about two months old now, but it's still very wearable in our heat. I guess I forgot to post it! Jeanie wore this to an interview for her summer internship. The many bows are right up my alley. dress: forever 21? | shoes: rack room shoes Sorry I missed my Thursday post yesterday. I've been trying to get some things done before I head back to school! And thank you for the cheerful comments on my last post. I'm feeling much less crappy right now! Have a happy Friday!
