Outfit: Elephant Print Bell Sleeved Dress with Raspberry Red Heels

Image
Happy Wednesday to you! These pictures are from a little while back and were taken right after I had my hair done so it was freshly pink and delightful. Of course now it's purple and delightful, so that's good too. This elephant print bell sleeved dress from Boohoo is one of my favorites because it's so incredibly comfortable. It isn't tight anywhere so it's great for days when I'm planning on having a food baby. Or just days when I don't want to think about what to wear. The black and white print makes it versatile and the awesomely large bell sleeves are really on trend. I've worn this dress with tons of different shoes and tights, but this time I styled it with a new pair of raspberry red heels I got on clearance at Target. (Woohoo for Target clearance!) I'm pretty sure my hair makes this outfit though and my dog Riker is a pretty great addition too, if I do say so. dress: boohoo | heels: target So how has your week been? No r...

Outfit: I'm Back in Florals!

Image
Guess who's back? Back again? Jamie's back. Tell a friend. Now you have that song stuck in your head. You're welcome. And also if you're reading this, thank you for sticking around or at least having my blog still in your blog feeder! It's been a while but I'm certainly ready to get back into blogging mode now that I'm all moved into a new apartment and am mostly unpacked and settled. I no longer have to drive 3 hours a day but work is keeping me very busy right now so I haven't quite reclaimed my normal amount of free time. dress: xhileration - target | shoes: merona - target | earrings: old hand-me-downs Now moving on to some outfit talk! Everything I'm wearing here except the earrings is relatively new. My shoes were a February Target sale buy and I've been wearing them the most out of any of my shoes lately. (Hooray for comfy shoes that go with everything!) The black floral dress was an impulse buy during my last Target ...

Outfit: Dinosaur Print T-shirt, Black Ruffled Pinafore, and Silver Platforms

Image
Long time no blog but I have a fun outfit to share with you today. Both the dinosaur print t-shirt and ruffled pinafore here are new purchases and I couldn't wait to wear them together. The two pieces should be pretty versatile and remixable too though. It was too hard to resist this dinosaur print t-shirt last time I was wandering through Forever 21. It's so perfect and just subtle enough to wear in a variety of situations. You might not even notice they're dinosaurs until you get up close! The pinafore dress was an H&M clearance find. Just $10! Can't beat that. I'll be able to wear it year round with various tops underneath - and probably on its own too. The only negative thing is that it seems to wrinkle super easily. Oh well!  My silver platform heels were the final touch to this outfit. They feel super Spice Girls-tastic to me and I'm definitely on board with that. They're so delightfully shiny too. I just need to figure out more outfits...

Outfit: Blue Vintage Dress, Patterned Tights, and a Leather Jacket

Image
This is what I look like in the wind when it's way too cold to be outside taking outfit pictures on Christmas. You may notice the uncharacteristic snow in these pictures too. That's because I was up in Illinois for the holidays and, although we were supposed to get snow in Georgia a couple weeks back, my neighborhood didn't get much more than a dusting. Fine by me! But snow does make for some nice automatic light reflectors when taking pictures! This vintage cobalt blue dress is a new addition to my collection, given to me by a friend of the family. I'm always happy to accept cool vintage clothes, especially when they're already tailored for someone short. This ultra blue dress was worn for Christmas dinner and the shift shape left plenty of room for me to gorge myself on tasty foods.  For its debut, I styled it with a new faux leather jacket (since my other one was starting to get worn out after many years of trusty use) and a pair of tights with a fish...

Outfit: Striped Khaki Green Shift Dress with Lace Up Flats

Image
Here it is! The blonde hair is officially on the blog for all of you non-Instagram followers to see. It may be a shock for some of you but it's been on my head for a couple of weeks now and I'm loving the change. My hair had been red for 11 years so it was good to do something different for a change. For my blonde debut on the blog I styled what may be my new favorite dress with a new pair of lace up flats from a Modcloth sale. I honestly wish this dress came in a bunch of colors because it's the perfect loose but not too loose fit on me. Forever 21 advertised it as a bodycon dress but it very much is not that. It's fantastically comfy and I'll definitely be bringing it with me to Europe to wear with tights and black boots. (As for now, I'm still donning bare legs because it's like walking on the sun in Georgia still.) dress: forever 21 | shoes: modcloth | necklace: sheinside I hope you've been having a good week and had a happy Monda...

Work Outfit: Sky Blue Lace Dress, Pink Cardigan, and Holographic Flats

Image
I'm so in love with this little pink cropped cardigan I ordered off of Amazon. It's the absolute perfect length on my short torso and a nice, soft, stretchy knit. From what I read, it's the same cardigan as the Modcloth Dream of the Crop cardigan , except it's available in more colors on Amazon (and cheaper.) I may even pick up some more colors in the near future! I just can't believe I have tons of cardigans and had no pink one until now.  I wore it to work for it's first day out, paired with my light blue lace dress from Forever 21 clearance, a black and gold flower necklace, and my holographic peep toe flats. I've been wearing the shoes I can't really walk long distances in now that I'm driving to work again. These flats are comfortable enough, but for some reason the top part rubs the top of one of my toes on one foot so they're not good for distance. It's unfortunate because they're pretty cool! dress, necklace, shoes: fo...

Outfit: Green Flutter Sleeve Palm Tree Print Dress and Black Wedges

Image
This Wolf & Whistle abstract palm tree print dress has become a new favorite because of the perfect fit and fantastic flutter sleeves. I picked it up at Modcloth on sale a little while back and had worn it previously on a very cold trip to Terrapin Brewery where it was covered by a wool coat the entire time. For its blog debut, I styled it on a hot day with some black wedges, my Cameoko gold hexagon necklace, and a pair of black wayfarer sunglasses. I wore this for my sister's grad school graduation and it was quite toasty outside walking around taking graduation pictures (and these) so please overlook any splotchy hot weather skin going on. dress : wolf & whistle - modcloth | wedges: y not? - shoe carnival | necklace: c/o cameoko | sunglasses: boohoo | purse: madden girl - ross How has your weekend been? I hope safe! The news of yet another mass shooting put a damper on this weekend. Plus we're currently packing our apartment to move to another place...

Outfit: White Sleeveless Shirt Dress, Gold Belt, & Snakeskin Flats

Image
Happy Monday everyone! This summery white cotton dress is the last piece online retailer Tobi sent me to style. It's a fantastic staple to have in my closet and I've already worn it a couple different ways. I do wish it was a little less easy to wrinkle but I guess that's what you get with cotton. The size I ordered (M) was just slightly too big for me too, so I had to watch my side bra area wasn't hanging out, (but it was remedied with a different bra on another wear.) Other than that, the dress has pockets and is lined to prevent any white cotton transparency issues! They even have it in black if you prefer that, but I think I have plenty of black dresses already. For this dress' first day out, I styled it with a stretchy gold belt that looks like gold coins. I thrifted the belt last year because I thought it was so neat and didn't wear it until yesterday! Do you ever do that? Sometimes you just have to buy things when you're thrifting even if yo...

Work Outfit: Light Blue Jersey Knit Dress and White Block Heels

Image
I'm a big fan of what I call "pajama dresses," which are really just jersey knit skater dresses . They're comfortable enough to sleep in, yet can look 100% put-together if styled nicely. That's exactly what I did with this light blue dress California-based shop Tobi sent me to style. (Someone even asked me why I was dressed so nice at the dog park! I told them I just came from work, of course.) For the debut of my newest pajama dress, I added my silvery beaded Stella and Dot necklace and a pair of white block heel sandals from Forever 21. I actually bought the shoes back in December on sale and had to wait for it to warm up to finally wear them. Happily, they're comfortable enough to walk back and forth to work, which is really all I can ask in a pair of cheap shoes.  daydreaming skater dress : c/o tobi | shoes : forever 21 | necklace: stella & dot | sunglasses: forever 21 Check out more from Tobi:  shorts  |  jewelry  |  casual dresses ...
