Work Outfit: Light Blue Jersey Knit Dress and White Block Heels

I'm a big fan of what I call "pajama dresses," which are really just jersey knit skater dresses. They're comfortable enough to sleep in, yet can look 100% put-together if styled nicely. That's exactly what I did with this light blue dress California-based shop Tobi sent me to style. (Someone even asked me why I was dressed so nice at the dog park! I told them I just came from work, of course.)

For the debut of my newest pajama dress, I added my silvery beaded Stella and Dot necklace and a pair of white block heel sandals from Forever 21. I actually bought the shoes back in December on sale and had to wait for it to warm up to finally wear them. Happily, they're comfortable enough to walk back and forth to work, which is really all I can ask in a pair of cheap shoes.

I had never tried out Tobi before even though I've been getting their emails for a while. They have a lot of solid-colored basics and plenty of dresses perfect for going out to the bars. A dress like this is extra versatile. It's one of those that are fantastic for traveling because it's so comfortable. I didn't even belt it and I looked put-together. Dress win! I'm loving the color too because it matches my eyes. How would you style this dress? I always love to get ideas from you for different ways to wear my clothes! 

I hope you're all having a great weekend! I'm planning on relaxing this Memorial Day weekend. We have absolutely no plans and I'm reveling in that. It's wonderful. I'll probably spend time on our deck, enjoying the not-extremely-hot-yet Georgia weather. What are your plans?

PS - Definitely didn't realize this until right this minute, but my fifth blogiversary is today! I can't believe I've been doing this for five years, through some of college, all of grad school and everything that has come afterward. Wow!

I was just thinking as soon as I saw you in this dress that it is such a lovely colour and that it brings out the light blue in your eyes! And then I saw that you'd written that they match your eyes. They really do. It's a great colour for you! Really pretty! And for it to be so comfortable - great! I love comfy dresses! Super cute styling, love the white shoes. You look just like a doll!

First of all, HAPPY BLOGIVERSARY!!! 5 years is a looooooong time, congratulations on all the incredible work you have done!! Second, I am LOVING this name "the pajama dress" hahahahahahahhaa. I know exactly what you mean, I have a lot of these type of dresses and wear them aaaaall the time because they are incredibly versatile and comfy. Loving this pretty shade of light blue on you!!

Leather Scalloped Skirt, Polka Dots, & Orange Tights

Happy weekend everyone! I just had the most lazy weird Friday ever, so I'm updating later than usual. I basically slept on and off since class got done at noon. I know, I'm pretty exciting. This outfit was fun today though! I wore my leather skirt that we recently DIY scallop hemmed. I may post a little tutorial of sorts on how to do that, but it's pretty self explanatory. I like that the skirt is a little shorter now. It still squeezes my insides right at the waist, but it's more comfortable now that I'm having a few skinny months. Leather just doesn't have any give!
