Outfit: Concert Tee, Black Denim Mini Skirt, Pink Tights, and White Converse

Image
Here I am wearing a concert t-shirt again. At this point I'm not sure I'll ever stop wearing them. Maybe when I'm 70 I won't wear them with bright pink tights and white wedge Converse, but really, who knows? Maybe we'll all be dressing like Zenon : Girl of the 21st Century by then. (I can only hope.) And if I really take a look at this outfit, all I need is a colorful vest and I may as well have come off the space station. They really liked vests in that movie. I guess they don't need sleeves when everything's climate controlled? It is, however, not climate controlled outside in Atlanta. These pictures are from a couple months ago but it still hasn't reliably warmed up here yet. Also, my hair is now completely different since I had it chopped off again into an asymmetrical pixie a couple weeks ago. If you haven't seen it, check out my Instagram page! t-shirt: The Killers concert | skirt: h&m | tights: kmart | shoes: converse.com |...

Outfit: Black Star Print Shirt, Corduroy Shorts, and Silver Oxfords

Image
When will it be nice spring weather outside? It's been so gloomy and cold here in Georgia so I guess it's still relevant to show you a wintry almost all black outfit. I don't always wear a lot of color! I wore this for shopping and food with Matt at Ponce City Market a while back. The only new piece here is this black button down shirt with silver stars. I picked it up on sale because I figured it was just different enough while also being super wearable for work. I styled my new top with a pair of faux backseam tights, old old high waisted corduroy shorts from college, and silver oxford shoes from Target. My little western-style belt was thrifted long ago. top, shoes: target | jacket, shorts, tights: forever 21 | belt: thrifted I don't have anything super exciting to blog about here - just the odd outfit here and there, so thank you for sticking around. I've mostly been catching up on and enjoying reading lately, hanging out with my dog and husban...

Outfit: Heart Print Tights, Food Pins, Red Dress, and Loafer Heels

Image
Happy almost Valentine's Day to you! In honor of the day of "wuv" I broke out a couple of old favorites to wear: this red peter pan collar dress from Modcloth and some heart print sweater tights from Forever 21. This dress, although cute, has seen better days. Something about the fabric makes it super easy to pill up so that's happening all over the place. It's sad because it's a really cute dress and comfortable too. I'm afraid it might need to be retired soon - but not until I try some remedies to reduce the pilling. The highlight of this look is my super cool food-themed pins. I actually wore this last Friday on National Pizza Day, hence the pizza pin. Also it was Friday - hence the fries. The fries pin was lovingly bestowed upon me by a new coworker and is a very welcome addition to my increasing quirky pin collection. My other accessories are thrifted. A belt thrifted long ago that I wear practically bi-weekly and a pair of loafer heels I ...

Outfit: Nude Lucite Heel Boots with a Floral Blouse and Maroon Skater Skirt

Image
This was one of my favorite recent outfits. (I definitely wore this exact same thing more than once because I wanted to get a picture of it.) I'm not sure if it's because of all the matchy nude/maroon going on throughout the pieces or what, but I enjoyed it. I bought these Lucite heel nude boots for myself as a birthday gift back in October and this is probably my favorite way to wear them - with no tights and a cute skirt. I've found they work best that way since I haven't found a colored pair of tights that really looks right with them. If you have suggestions, please let me know! Anyway, I paired them with my much loved maroon skater skirt (probably one of the most-worn pieces in my wardrobe) and a floral long sleeved shirt.  skirt: h&m | top: forever 21 | shoes: steve madden - dsw SO how has your February been so far? Matt and I have been enjoying our quiet weekends at home and are looking forward to some fun outings we have planned this month. ...

Outfit: Feather Print Navy Blue Romper in Napa

Image
Since it's been cold out there and I'm pretty over it, I figured it would be a good time to dive back to last summer and share an outfit I was too busy to share then.  These pictures were taken during our brief stay in Napa last August which was a pretty awesome couple of days. The weather was fantastic and I was able to wear this feather print romper I picked up on Amazon for the first time. It was the perfect flowy silhouette for a summer day spent at wineries and bopping around town. The only negative about it is the wrap v-neck which definitely has to be pinned shut to avoid being the flasher about town. romper: amazon | earrings, sunglasses: forever 21 | shoes: corks - shoe carnival | bag: jototes Have you had any luck with shopping for clothes on Amazon? They have everything on there. I think my favorite fashion-related Amazon buy so far is a pair of brown fringe sandals I got for like $10 that are really comfortable.  On a different note, how's yo...

Outfit: Vintage 70s Button Down and Black Zippered Mini Skirt

Image
There are pieces in my wardrobe that have been with me way longer than I thought. I guess in my mind college isn't that far away. Then I actually count the years since I thrifted this 70s pointy collar button down. (Hint: It was at least 7 or 8 years ago. Yikes.) Even if it sits in my closet a lot, it makes an appearance ever so often - usually paired with red, blue, or black - to make my day better with its bold, but not too crazy, print and fabulous ultra wide pointy collar.  This time I paired my much-loved button down with a black denim mini skirt, fleece-lined tights, and a pair of black lace-up oxford heels. Usually this shirt gets paired with some sort of solid skirt since it's so bold. Even if it's somewhat similar to past looks, it's almost like my outfits in general are a little different-looking when I'm blonde! The platinum blonde gives everything a little ice princess vibe. Especially when there's actually ice and snow on the ground. Sps...

Dragon Con 2017: Spider-Gwen Cosplay

Image
Happy Halloween to you! This isn't exactly a Halloween costume, but it's still a costume so I figured I'd share with you on this most glorious of holidays. These pictures are from Dragon Con where I wore my Spider-Gwen costume with real blonde hair this time. I've got to tell you: Wearing a costume minus a wig is so much more comfortable it's insane. Plus, at least with this costume, I think it looks much better than the year before! A couple people told me I was the best Spider-Gwen they'd seen! I give credit to the hair.  So how have you all been this past month or so? I haven't had such a huge break from blogging ever but I guess I've never planned a wedding before either so I'll make that my excuse. The wedding is 11 days away and I can't wait for it to both happen and for the planning to be officially over. Make sure you're following on Instagram here to see upcoming wedding stuff! Happy Halloween!

Outfit: Red Mini Skirt, Blue Ringer Tee and Navy Blue Clogs

Image
Red and blue is probably my favorite color combination to wear - especially in the summertime. (Have I said that here before? Probably 10,000 times by now.) And sometimes I like to be as matchy-matchy as possible, which is where this outfit came from. I wore this about a month ago but it's still warm enough to wear it here in Georgia!  Some outfit details: My mini skirt is an old old thrift find that Mom hemmed for me long ago. I need to wear it more often but it's a bit too short for the workplace! The top was a cheapo crop top I probably bought on clearance and my shoes are my new favorites from Target. I should've gotten them in all the colors but figured I'd get plenty of use out of navy blue - my favorite "non neutral neutral."  skirt: thrifted | top: forever 21 | shoes: target | necklace: new york & company I wish I had time to blog more often but time is limited when you're planning a wedding and it's less than 2 months away...

Outfit: Green Corduroy Skirt, Leopard Top, and Heart Tights

Image
If you're looking at these pictures and going, "hey those look almost a year old!" then you would be correct! For whatever reason this outfit from December never ended up on the blog (but a similar look did back in March .) My hair is almost this color again right now though! Full circle. I wanted it very similar to this color and length for my wedding in November so I'm glad. I wish it was cold enough outside to wear tights, corduroy, and my leather jacket like it was in these pictures, but instead it's humid and rainy here in Georgia since it's still August. And so it shall remain until November. I really do like this combination of the dark green skirt with leopard print and tiny, almost-dots heart print. What do you think?  These pictures were taken in Illinois while cleaning out my Great Grandma's house. My sister and I were hanging around while our dad and grandpa were picking up some stuff.  Unfortunately I don't have anythin...

Outfit: Ruffled Blouse, Denim A-Line Skirt, and Red Pom Pom Flats

Image
It's beginning to feel like the wheel of hair colors around here. By the time I get a chance to take new outfit photos, my hair has changed color from the last post! Even these pictures from last month are outdated as far as my hair goes! Right this moment it's a shade of gray since it's about time to start phasing out the pink in time for the wedding (and I'd like it blonde for a couple Dragon Con costumes.) I've really enjoyed all the different colors over the past few months though.  Now about the outfit: The red pom pom flats are clearly the star of the show here. I ordered them online at Forever 21 during a BOGO clearance sale since I couldn't resist the colorful pom poms. They worked perfectly with a go-to denim button down skirt and a white blouse. Those simple pieces let the shoes steal the spotlight in a good way. They also kept the denim skirt/white blouse combo from looking too country - a style that's just not my thing. top, shoes: ...
