Outfit: Nude Lucite Heel Boots with a Floral Blouse and Maroon Skater Skirt

This was one of my favorite recent outfits. (I definitely wore this exact same thing more than once because I wanted to get a picture of it.) I'm not sure if it's because of all the matchy nude/maroon going on throughout the pieces or what, but I enjoyed it. I bought these Lucite heel nude boots for myself as a birthday gift back in October and this is probably my favorite way to wear them - with no tights and a cute skirt. I've found they work best that way since I haven't found a colored pair of tights that really looks right with them. If you have suggestions, please let me know! Anyway, I paired them with my much loved maroon skater skirt (probably one of the most-worn pieces in my wardrobe) and a floral long sleeved shirt.

SO how has your February been so far? Matt and I have been enjoying our quiet weekends at home and are looking forward to some fun outings we have planned this month. I have zero idea what we're doing for our first Valentine's Day as a married couple but we're likely staying in since it's on a Wednesday. Maybe some homemade dinner and a bottle of wine? I'm not opposed to that! What about you? Have any plans?

I'm a big fan of what I call "pajama dresses," which are really just jersey knit skater dresses . They're comfortable enough to sleep in, yet can look 100% put-together if styled nicely. That's exactly what I did with this light blue dress California-based shop Tobi sent me to style. (Someone even asked me why I was dressed so nice at the dog park! Botanical Fun

These pictures are from my outing to The State Botanical Garden of Georgia, which just so happens to be conveniently located about 8 minutes from my apartment. There were still a nice amount of flowers blooming so it was really pretty. I decided I needed to get more wears out of my pretty Steal the Game Show dress from Modcloth so I took some inspiration from other bloggers and wore it as a skirt! I actually really liked how this outfit turned out. Don't Dream It

...be it! I love a good performance of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. We went to see the live shadow cast Lips Down on Dixie perform at the Plaza Theatre in Atlanta. It was awesome, as always! This is Jeanie and her friend Leslie before they got their lipstick Rocky virgin V's on their foreheads. Leslie even got the honor of holding the criminologist's book during a part of the show. Pretty ballin'. Butt shot! Yes, those are heels I have on with leopard print pajamas. It was a take on Columbia in the touch-a touch me scene. The real pj's are stripes, but this is what I had! I did have the mickey ears and crazy makeup though, so it counts. [How fun would it be to wear one of those costumes for Halloween?] I always enjoy this show.
