Petite Panoply

This was one of my favorite recent outfits. (I definitely wore this exact same thing more than once because I wanted to get a picture of it.) I'm not sure if it's because of all the matchy nude/maroon going on throughout the pieces or what, but I enjoyed it. I bought these Lucite heel nude boots for myself as a birthday gift back in October and this is probably my favorite way to wear them - with no tights and a cute skirt. I've found they work best that way since I haven't found a colored pair of tights that really looks right with them. If you have suggestions, please let me know! If you're looking at these pictures and going, "hey those look almost a year old!" then you would be correct! For whatever reason this outfit from December never ended up on the blog (but a similar look did back in March .) My hair is almost this color again right now though! Full circle. I wanted it very similar to this color and length for my wedding in November so I'm glad. I wish it was cold enough outside to wear tights, corduroy, and my leather jacket like it was in these pictures, but instead it's humid and rainy here in Georgia since it's still August. And so it shall remain until November. I really do like this combination of the dark green skirt with leopard print and tiny, almost-dots heart print. Happy Saturday to you! I'm so excited to show you this outfit today - mostly because of my awesome olive earrings from IncredInedible . They were a gift from my sister because she knew they were on my Etsy wishlist for a very long time. If you've never checked out IncredInedible and like quirky jewelry, you definitely should! All the pieces look just like the food they're supposed to be. It's amazing how detailed every piece is, from donuts to baked potatoes. I'll definitely be making an order for more fun earrings soon! This is what I look like in the wind when it's way too cold to be outside taking outfit pictures on Christmas. You may notice the uncharacteristic snow in these pictures too. That's because I was up in Illinois for the holidays and, although we were supposed to get snow in Georgia a couple weeks back, my neighborhood didn't get much more than a dusting. Fine by me! But snow does make for some nice automatic light reflectors when taking pictures! This vintage cobalt blue dress is a new addition to my collection, given to me by a friend of the family. I'm always happy to accept cool vintage clothes, especially when they're already tailored for someone short. Good morning (or afternoon or evening) to you! In my vacation picture editing extravaganza that happened last week, I found yet another set of pictures that would make a perfect outfit post. These pictures were taken at Windmill Bonne Chiere in the morning of our last day in Bruges, Belgium. I made seeing at least one windmill a priority on this trip since I'd missed out on them the first time I went to Bruges when I was a kid. After the tourists in the back of some of these photos left, Matt and I had the windmill all to ourselves so we could climb up on the stairs and get some fun pictures while taking in the view. (Sorry no pictures taken from up there. I wasn't about to drop and break my camera in the middle of our trip. Those stairs were steep!) This windmill is an open trestle post mill . Something trendy, something trusty, cool tights, and novelty pins.  I found these tights from last year in a drawer (I'd forgotten they exist) and love them. They're the kind I'm scared to wear too often because I don't want them to get ruined. Where did the week go? I meant to post this earlier in the week, but oh well. It has been unusually cool outside the past couple days when the past two weekends we spent time at the pool. Georgia weather is so weird. I wore this to work a little while back but could have easily broke out my tights again yesterday!  This blue romper is surprisingly work-appropriate due to the length of the shorts and being so covered up on top. I enjoy how perfectly it fits, the great bright blue color, and that it's lace - because who can have too many lace things anyway? You can see how I wore it to work last year here . I really miss wearing my mini skirts because they're not exactly "work appropriate" and I can't wear one every single weekend or I'd be missing out on all my other clothes. When I put this outfit on I just stood in front of the mirror and was like, "yes. return to me oh mini skirt goodness!" Plus the combination of the ruffled and lace up top with the pattern in the skirt was calling to me. Then I added in the super tall retro-looking ankle boots and I'm pretty sure this outfit turned out perfect.  I wasn't going to do the whole lace up shirt trend (because I had one back when they were last in style when I was in middle school) but this one was right up my alley with the addition of ruffles. Saint Patrick's day is kind of a big deal in my family and I tend to celebrate all week long, wearing as much green as possible. I do own a lot of green clothes. Unfortunately this isn't what I'm wearing today but it fits the green theme somewhat, so it'll be my St. Pat's post this year! I'm wearing a shamrock necklace so it works, right? I originally bought this green, red, and blue plaid dress from Modcloth for Christmas but it ended up being much too large in the bodice area, which is a struggle I often have with dresses fitted at the waist. The back was buckling out from too much fabric so my mom altered it for me by taking up the shoulders and now it fits perfectly! Clearly it didn't end up being a holiday dress but maybe this year it will be. For now I styled it with my faux leather jacket, some gray tights, and lace-up ankle boots. Even though a lot of style bloggers never show outfits with jeans, I think it's possible to put together an interesting, share-worthy outfit with them. These dark wash, high-waisted bell bottom jeans were ordered from OldNavy.com about a year ago and unfortunately they don't carry them anymore. If you're very short, it's 100% necessary to buy petite bell bottoms or else you cut off most of the bell part hemming them. These were a perfect find for me and I wear them pretty often, especially to work with various blouses. I should've bought two pairs they're so perfect! This was a casual weekend outfit though. I like the updated 70s vibes going on. I styled my jeans with a donut print graphic t-shirt (which was a Secret Santa gift), my incredibly useful faux leather jacket, comfy wedge boots, and a pair of gold hoop earrings.  What do you think?
