Work Outfit: Sky Blue Lace Dress, Pink Cardigan, and Holographic Flats

Image
I'm so in love with this little pink cropped cardigan I ordered off of Amazon. It's the absolute perfect length on my short torso and a nice, soft, stretchy knit. From what I read, it's the same cardigan as the Modcloth Dream of the Crop cardigan , except it's available in more colors on Amazon (and cheaper.) I may even pick up some more colors in the near future! I just can't believe I have tons of cardigans and had no pink one until now.  I wore it to work for it's first day out, paired with my light blue lace dress from Forever 21 clearance, a black and gold flower necklace, and my holographic peep toe flats. I've been wearing the shoes I can't really walk long distances in now that I'm driving to work again. These flats are comfortable enough, but for some reason the top part rubs the top of one of my toes on one foot so they're not good for distance. It's unfortunate because they're pretty cool! dress, necklace, shoes: fo...

Outfit: Galaxy Print Dress, Green Cardigan, and Holographic Flats

Image
Happy Monday! Jessica over at Midwest Muse let me borrow her amazing galaxy print dress last month and I'm pretty sure I need one of my own. I styled it pretty simply here with a green cardigan and my holographic flats from Forever 21. I continued the space theme with the Star Trek earrings I got at Dragon Con last year.  I feel like this is a kind of unique spring look! The galaxy print dress could easily be swapped for floral print but the different print really stands out. The great thing about galaxy print is it looks good with a ton of different colors too. Yet another reason I need to get a dress like this of my own! heart and solar system dress: modcloth - borrowed from Jessica | cardigan: h&m | shoes, hair clip: forever 21 | earrings: vendor at Dragon Con I started a full time real adult job last week and I'm getting used to a new schedule. I'm not a morning person so I'm trying to get enough sleep! Unfortunately my blogging (and/or socia...

Backless Cat Print Dress with Holographic Flats

Image
It's Monday already again! Here's an outfit that's absolutely perfect for muggy Georgia summers. It's kind of magical having no fabric touching your back. You should try it. Though I had to deal with a stick-on bra for this look so maybe it was less carefree than it looks. I absolutely love the back of this cat print dress despite the need for some crazy backless bra situation. Honestly I wish the front of the dress was as flattering as the back. I make it work for the cool back and fun print though.  This is the first time I wore this dress without a layer underneath. You can see how I styled it last Halloween and with a lace top underneath . This time I let the dress be worn as intended and paired my super cool holographic flats with it. dress: modcloth | shoes: forever 21 | bracelet: premier designs Did you do anything fun this weekend? I was sick again. Seriously. It's like I graduated and my immune system was like, "you don't need...

Leopard Print Crop Top with Navy Blue Shorts

Image
Happy Wednesday everyone! Here's an outfit I wore at some point last week. I know I wore these navy shorts with another leopard print top on the blog last summer, but it was time to do it again. This time I paired them with my new leopard print crop top. Hooray for crop tops and high-waisted things! I'm just really loving the bare upper abdomen thing this summer. I never really showed any semblance of torso skin in previous years, so I figured I might as well do it while I can.  Remember the whole above-the-crotch, below the bellybutton peek of skin with the super low rise jeans 10ish years ago? Because everyone needed to have a super long torso and stub legs? Yeah. I couldn't do that. My torso is so short it just looked like I was weirdly proportioned if I tried that. (Not to mention shirts were all made extra long then because the pants were so low...so there was no hope to even recreate that look on myself.) I don't even know how to explain it, but it was weird....

Floral Romper, Lace Top, & Holographic Flats

Image
I bought this romper from Target last year and I think it's so cute, but it was time to remix it in a new way. So I layered my relatively new black lace top underneath it! I thought the double prints worked and it covered me up on top a bit more since this romper is extremely leg-tastic. romper: xhileration - target | lace top: h&m | hologram flats: forever 21 | ring: forever 21 Sometimes you have to come up with unique poses to show off various accessories.  This is the first time in a while that I've had a decent amount of outfits photographed ahead of time! I know my posts haven't been super exciting lately, but I'm very excited about a couple of the outfits I wore last week. They'll be posted soon! I hope you guys like them too! Happy Wednesday!

Kiss Me I'm Irish!: A St. Patrick's Day Outfit

Image
Happy belated Saint Patrick's Day! My family goes all-out for this holiday, so you can count on me wearing a very green, festive outfit. Luckily St. Patrick's Day tends to fall on my spring break so I get to be home and eat Mom's delicious Irish feast. I always look forward to that meal and the tasty leftovers I get to bring back to Athens.  shorts, top, shoes: forever 21 | cardigan: delia's | shamrock earrings: from Ireland | hair bow: unknown origin It was really warm so I wore my new green scalloped shorts. I paired them with a teal cardigan which may be green overload but I don't care! I have quite a few shamrock accessories in my arsenal so those were included too. Hooray for themed outfits! nail polish: china glaze - budding romance & cha cha cha (I'll have Jeanie's St. Patrick's outfit up for you to see tomorrow!) It was a good last day home for break, but now I'm back in Athens getting school stuff ...
