Work Outfit: Purple Skater Skirt and Leopard Print Flats

Image
Long time no blog! I didn't realize it had been so long but life has been busy, including my weekends with Dragon Con last week and working on a new hairdo this weekend - more on that later. So it's definitely time to show you a new outfit and what better than to show you some new shoes?  These leopard print flats are from Target and you may still be able to find them. They also come in black. I love that they zip up the back so I don't have to fasten three buckles and so far they're really comfy. Definitely contenders in my "what shoes do I bring to Europe?" quandary. They go with pretty much everything too. This time I paired them with a new purple skater skirt from Boohoo. I enjoy wearing all colors, but don't have nearly enough purple in my wardrobe so I thought it was a good addition. Plus it's long enough to be work appropriate. The black top is very old from Forever 21. Like early college old. I still like it. top: forever 21 | sk...

Outfit: Fox Print Top with a Khaki Green Lace Skater Skirt

Image
Sometimes I buy clothes at Walmart and I'm not even ashamed. The other day I was over there looking for pieces for a Dragon Con costume and came across a bunch of lace skater skirts. I'm a fan of khaki green as a neutral-that-isn't-neutral so I just had to buy this skirt. Plus it was like $8 and an appropriate-enough length to wear to work. Win. So for its debut I paired it with my cute fox print shirt from Boohoo, which is one of my favorites because it seems to look good with everything. I enjoyed the mix of muted green with orange which you don't often see.  This is the kind of outfit I wear when I want to pretend fall is around the corner even though it most definitely is not here in Georgia. Khaki green just feels like fall to me! I know it's still August, but I'm ready for it to not be 90+ degrees outside.  top: boohoo | skirt: walmart | shoes: korks - shoe carnival | earrings: thrifted So are you having a good weekend? Work Outfit: Dark Blue Lace Dress with White Strappy Sandals

Image
Happy Thursday to you! Here's another summery work outfit for you to feast your eyes upon (or something like that.) I picked up this navy blue lace dress from Goodwill on the same trip that I found the little polka dot romper I featured on here a few weeks back. It was hidden way back in the overstuffed racks between some unsightly dresses, but that's the beauty of thrifting. I sift through everything because you never know what you'll spot! This dress is likely from Modcloth too. I can't remember the exact brand because I'm too lazy to go upstairs and look at the tag, but it was definitely the same as a dress I have from Modcloth. So that's a thrifting win! I really like the low V-back and the pretty navy blue shade of this dress. Plus it fit me so comfortably. For its debut I wore it to work with a pair of white strappy sandals with chunky heels and a couple new bronze leaf hair clips. The hair clips are surprisingly difficult to pull out of my hair tho...

Work Outfit: Sky Blue Lace Dress, Pink Cardigan, and Holographic Flats

Image
I'm so in love with this little pink cropped cardigan I ordered off of Amazon. It's the absolute perfect length on my short torso and a nice, soft, stretchy knit. From what I read, it's the same cardigan as the Modcloth Dream of the Crop cardigan , except it's available in more colors on Amazon (and cheaper.) I may even pick up some more colors in the near future! I just can't believe I have tons of cardigans and had no pink one until now.  I wore it to work for it's first day out, paired with my light blue lace dress from Forever 21 clearance, a black and gold flower necklace, and my holographic peep toe flats. I've been wearing the shoes I can't really walk long distances in now that I'm driving to work again. These flats are comfortable enough, but for some reason the top part rubs the top of one of my toes on one foot so they're not good for distance. It's unfortunate because they're pretty cool! dress, necklace, shoes: fo...

Work Outfit: Blue Lace Romper, Black Tights, and Black Wedge Boots

Image
Where did the week go? I meant to post this earlier in the week, but oh well. It has been unusually cool outside the past couple days when the past two weekends we spent time at the pool. Georgia weather is so weird. I wore this to work a little while back but could have easily broke out my tights again yesterday!  This blue romper is surprisingly work-appropriate due to the length of the shorts and being so covered up on top. I enjoy how perfectly it fits, the great bright blue color, and that it's lace - because who can have too many lace things anyway? You can see how I wore it to work last year here . This time I styled it on a cool day with some plain black tights and my comfy wedge ankle boots from Target. The sunglasses were a necessary addition while walking around after work. Because I don't tend to wear my sunglasses inside. (No judgment if you do.) romper: new york & company | boots: target | necklace: grandma's | sunglasses: c/o boohoo | bag: ...

Outfit: Plaid Winter Coat, Black Lace Dress, Bright Blue Tights, and White Polka Dot Boots

Image
I wore this outfit a couple months ago and really wasn't a fan of how it ended up looking in pictures so I waited to share it. Sometimes I put on an outfit, think it looks awesome, and then look at photos later and go, "I look nuts." This was one of those times. Luckily I kind of like how crazy it looks now with the mix of polka dots and my blue plaid coat. I have the pictures so why not share it? Someone may be inspired by it! Maybe I would like these pictures better without my coat, but it was cold out so it was included! This is the first time this coat has been on the blog but it was a new purchase for this winter. I got it on sale at Target. It has a great tie waist so I've been enjoying wearing it with some skinny jeans and flats for walks with Riker. It looks like I put effort into an outfit even when I'm being lazy.  The rest of my outfit was pretty simple. A black lace dress, some incredibly bright blue tights, and my white chunky polka dot bo...

Outfit: Light Blue Lace Dress with Purple Tights and Colorful Snakeskin Flats

Image
Happy Presidents Day to all my American readers. I enjoyed a nice day off today which wasn't highly relaxing but was still good. I'm happy to show you a brand new outfit post this evening. I liked this outfit so much I wore it twice already! There's something about the light blue dress with these purple tights that works so wonderfully. Add in the ridiculously busy yet awesome snakeskin flats and it's a perfect outfit. (At least I think so!) I picked up this little light blue lace dress from a Forever 21 sale. It's sheer in the back and I'm excited to style it in the summer time too. But for now it looks great - and more work appropriate - with a black cropped cardigan. The flats keep it a little more okay for work too since it is  a little bit short. My butt is covered though and that's the most important thing, right? dress: forever 21 | tights: kmart | cardigan: old navy | shoes: journeys So how was your weekend? I spent some time with fami...

Christmas Outfit: Green Lace Dress with Gray Leopard Print Heels

Image
Happy holidays to you!! I've been a little absent due to traveling and Christmas shenanigans but I'm finally back to show you what I wore on Christmas 2015. You really can't go wrong with a nice green dress for the holidays so I was very happy when I opened this lace number on Christmas morning. My mom and sister know my style so well! Apparently they got a deal on it at H&M. I enjoy the sheer lace detailing and the neckline. Plus this dark green color contrasts perfectly with my hair. I made the dress even more holiday appropriate with some jeweled back seam tights that I wore during the holidays last year  and a pair of sparkly bow earrings. These dark gray leopard print heels are a new addition to my shoe collection. They were only $10 on clearance. Shoe win! I figured they'd add a fun subtle touch of pattern mixing to this look. So what did you wear for the holidays? I'll be checking out your looks soon but you can tell me all about it too. ...

Outfit: Vintage Floral Skirt, Black Lace Top, Silver Triangle Necklace, & Pink Sandals

Image
This vintage floral skirt is one of my favorites. The colors are fantastic and pair so nicely with a lot of other colors. This time I paired it with some slightly edgy pieces to contrast with the super girly print. This black lace top from H&M goes with pretty much everything, but it's a crop top so it can be hard to keep tucked in to a skirt like this which isn't entirely tight around my waist. I added a brand new silver triangle necklace I bought from a Modcloth sale and some pink sandals I'm pretty sure I've had since high school. top: h&m | skirt: thrifted | shoe: ross | necklace: modcloth As of tonight I'm officially on my labor day weekend. I'm super pumped about it because not only do I have 2 days off work but I'm going to Dragon Con again! So be prepared for some costume goodness again this year. Work Outfit: Blue Lace Romper with White Pointed Flats and a Blazer

Image
Happy Monday! I wore this new blue lace romper to work a little while back and I figured it's about time I showed you guys. It's a comfortable lace material and has a zipper down the back so it's a convenient kind of romper! Have you ever tried to get out of one that has buttons in the back? No thanks. I paired it with a classic black blazer and a pair of white pointed flats I got on clearance on Forever 21's website.  This is the outfit I wore when I got my headshots done for work. I figured the cobalt blue shade would compliment my hair and eyes for picture day! I don't think anybody can go wrong with a color like this though. It looks great on everyone.  blazer & romper: new york & company | shoes: forever 21 | necklace: stella & dot So have you ever worn a romper to work? This one is long enough and loose enough that I think it's appropriate for a business casual environment. Everyone at work thought it was a dress most of the ...
