When will it be nice spring weather outside? It's been so gloomy and cold here in Georgia so I guess it's still relevant to show you a wintry almost all black outfit. I don't always wear a lot of color! I wore this for shopping and food with Matt at Ponce City Market a while back. The only new piece here is this black button down shirt with silver stars. I picked it up on sale because I figured it was just different enough while also being super wearable for work. I styled my new top with a pair of faux backseam tights, old old high waisted corduroy shorts from college, and silver oxford shoes from Target. If you're looking at these pictures and going, "hey those look almost a year old!" then you would be correct! For whatever reason this outfit from December never ended up on the blog (but a similar look did back in March .) My hair is almost this color again right now though! Full circle. I wanted it very similar to this color and length for my wedding in November so I'm glad. I wish it was cold enough outside to wear tights, corduroy, and my leather jacket like it was in these pictures, but instead it's humid and rainy here in Georgia since it's still August. And so it shall remain until November. I really do like this combination of the dark green skirt with leopard print and tiny, almost-dots heart print. This is what I look like in the wind when it's way too cold to be outside taking outfit pictures on Christmas. You may notice the uncharacteristic snow in these pictures too. That's because I was up in Illinois for the holidays and, although we were supposed to get snow in Georgia a couple weeks back, my neighborhood didn't get much more than a dusting. Fine by me! But snow does make for some nice automatic light reflectors when taking pictures! This vintage cobalt blue dress is a new addition to my collection, given to me by a friend of the family. I'm always happy to accept cool vintage clothes, especially when they're already tailored for someone short. Good morning (or afternoon or evening) to you! In my vacation picture editing extravaganza that happened last week, I found yet another set of pictures that would make a perfect outfit post. These pictures were taken at Windmill Bonne Chiere in the morning of our last day in Bruges, Belgium. I made seeing at least one windmill a priority on this trip since I'd missed out on them the first time I went to Bruges when I was a kid. After the tourists in the back of some of these photos left, Matt and I had the windmill all to ourselves so we could climb up on the stairs and get some fun pictures while taking in the view. (Sorry no pictures taken from up there. I wasn't about to drop and break my camera in the middle of our trip. Those stairs were steep!) This windmill is an open trestle post mill . Happy New Year! Usually I have a roundup outfit post to start the new year but with busy holiday traveling that may have to wait until later. Since our trip to Europe was by far the highlight of 2016, I figured I'd show you another outfit I wore over there. This is what I wore on our first full day of exploring Prague. The pictures we took on Charles Bridge at dawn are some of my absolute favorite from the whole trip. It was amazingly crowd-free being there that early in the morning!  At this point in the trip my faux leather jacket wasn't quite cutting it with the cool weather and this day was especially windy up at the castle! Other than that I was pretty pleased with the pieces I picked to bring with and was able to remix them in a lot of different ways so I wasn't wearing the same outfit for 2.5 weeks. Happy Christmas Eve and welcome to another The Fringe Off collaboration post! This time we're each styling metallics in different ways. I feel like metallic clothes and accessories are always in style around the holidays (although I wish more people wore them throughout winter since those months can be so drab.) I figured it would be a fun challenge to style this festive sequined skirt for a more casual day. Also this is probably the only metallic item available to me right now since most of my wardrobe is in a storage unit. #sad To make this skirt more appropriate for a day of shopping, present-wrapping, and wedding photographer research, I styled it with a very casual green ribbed t-shirt, my faux leather jacket, and a pair of black lace up flats from Modcloth. I wear this skirt a lot.  It's the perfect skater skirt length, a slightly heavy material so it doesn't blow up in the wind too easily, and an extremely versatile maroon color. I styled it in my last outfit post too, but I hope you don't mind!  I spent a good amount of the weekend sorting through and editing my pictures from my trip to Europe and picked out a few of this outfit I wore in Bruges. I loved the way the blue tights and maroon skirt photographed together, especially when paired with my leopard print flats from Target! I topped everything off with my faux leather jacket which is on top of a gray mock turtleneck shirt that you can barely see here. It was too cold to walk around jacket-less! My Jo Totes bag here, the Abby model in black, was purchased new for the trip and was the absolute perfect size for traveling Europe. Saint Patrick's day is kind of a big deal in my family and I tend to celebrate all week long, wearing as much green as possible. I do own a lot of green clothes. Unfortunately this isn't what I'm wearing today but it fits the green theme somewhat, so it'll be my St. Pat's post this year! I'm wearing a shamrock necklace so it works, right? I originally bought this green, red, and blue plaid dress from Modcloth for Christmas but it ended up being much too large in the bodice area, which is a struggle I often have with dresses fitted at the waist. The back was buckling out from too much fabric so my mom altered it for me by taking up the shoulders and now it fits perfectly! Clearly it didn't end up being a holiday dress but maybe this year it will be. For now I styled it with my faux leather jacket, some gray tights, and lace-up ankle boots. Even though a lot of style bloggers never show outfits with jeans, I think it's possible to put together an interesting, share-worthy outfit with them. These dark wash, high-waisted bell bottom jeans were ordered from OldNavy.com about a year ago and unfortunately they don't carry them anymore. If you're very short, it's 100% necessary to buy petite bell bottoms or else you cut off most of the bell part hemming them. These were a perfect find for me and I wear them pretty often, especially to work with various blouses. I should've bought two pairs they're so perfect! This was a casual weekend outfit though. I like the updated 70s vibes going on. I styled my jeans with a donut print graphic t-shirt (which was a Secret Santa gift), my incredibly useful faux leather jacket, comfy wedge boots, and a pair of gold hoop earrings.  What do you think?
