Outfit: Metallic Leopard Print Skirt, Faux Choker Top, and Red Wedges

Image
Just in time for Valentine's Day, here's a very Valentine-ish outfit to share with you! Because leopard print and red is automatically a Valentine's Day look in my mind. I actually wore this at Matt and my engagement party earlier this month so it's fitting to share it now. I had no idea what to wear that day and just threw this together a couple hours before. Most of it is new from a little bit of a shopping spree I had while looking for outfits for our engagement pictures.  This choker top from H&M is pretty trendy right now but I picked it up because it's both trendy and would match with a lot of different bottoms. The metallic leopard skirt was originally meant to be for our engagement pictures but I decided to go with another outfit, so this was its debut instead. Can you really ever have too many leopard print skirts? I say no. And my bright red wedges were a clearance find from over the summer. All a grand combination for a Valentine look! t...

Outfit: Cat Print Tank Top and a Leopard Print Skater Skirt

Image
I don't wear mixed prints as much as I used to so I was pretty excited when I paired these pieces together the other day. Something about the almost geometric cat print paired with the neutral leopard print worked very well. I was also a fan of all the neutrals and bronzey goodness going on in this look. Very summery! Plus my lipstick pretty much matched the color of my sandals. (BTW it's Zebra Ultra Metallic Lip by Colourpop and is still in stock as this is being published.) It can be hard to mix up your outfits when it's hot outside so trying out different print combinations is a good way to get different looks out of your summer pieces. Plus makeup. You can always just try out a bold lip color or some ultra colorful eye shadow to change things up too. I know lighter makeup is often the thing for summer, but wearing lipstick is much lighter than wearing an extra clothing layer, after all. What do you do to change things up when it's scorching outside? ...

Outfit: Black Turtleneck T-shirt, Leopard Print Skater Skirt, and Heart Print Tights

Image
Somehow this outfit from late February managed to not get posted until now! It's not even that I didn't like it. (I did and do!) I just ended up picking other ones to post and realized it's nearing the end of March. It's about time to get any backlogged outfits from February onto the interwebz. I can't be the only style blogger this happens to though! Anyway, I recently bought this classic black turtleneck t-shirt from Boohoo. I've been scouring stores around here for one like this and finally just went ahead and ordered one. It goes with everything and is incredibly soft. For its first time out I styled it with my neoprene leopard print skater skirt and added heart print sweater tights for warmth. It was pretty chilly the day I took these pictures and I was glad to get back inside and throw a blanket on.  top, shoes: boohoo | skirt, tights: forever 21 I also had some awesome colorful makeup on this day and a new dark lipstick from Nyx. Outfit: Burgundy Leather Jacket and a Crushed Velvet Top Layered Over a Leopard Print Dress

Image
I picked up this crushed velvet crop top from Forever 21 a few weeks ago with a birthday gift card. I couldn't resist its delightful crushed velvety-ness! I actually had a dress in almost this exact same fabric but it was way too large in the shoulders and bust so I gave it to my sister. This crop top fits perfectly though! For its debut I layered it over a leopard print high-low dress I got at Target a couple years ago. Layering crop tops over dresses is a great way to remix your dresses without adding a lot of bulk. This was kind of a perfect way to make this dress work for fall since it has spaghetti straps. I added my burgundy leather jacket for extra warmth even though I wore this before that big cold front blew down here. I just realized that this is the third outfit post in a row featuring leopard print. I'm sorry for leopard overload! I promise I don't wear it every day. These just happen to be the outfits I got pictures of recently.  leopard dress: xhilerati...

Outfit & Giveway: JORD Wood Watch, Olive Sweater, Leopard Skater Skirt, Clogs, and a Beret

Image
Today I'm very excited to introduce you to a unique and unconventional watch brand! JORD is a Missouri company that specializes in fashionable, hand-crafted  wood watches . I know wearing a watch isn't necessary for telling the time now that we all carry around cell phones, but making a watch a focal accessory is definitely something I can get on board with. The kind people over at JORD gifted me with their two-toned Sully watch in cherry & maple. The watch I chose is a bit oversized for a girl of my stature, but I wanted it to be a bold accessory. Since the holiday season is upon us, a JORD timepiece would make an awesome present for the stylish person in your life. I like that these watches aren't the typical dainty girly watch you usually see. Their Ely watch is a little smaller for those of you looking for a more understated timepiece though. Most of them are very unisex which I think is pretty fantastic. I can share my watch with my boyfriend! Another bonus: JOR...

Outfit: Leopard Skater Skirt, Blue Graphic T-shirt, & Pink Converse High-Tops

Image
It's probably clear by now that I can and will pair leopard print with nearly everything. I hadn't thought to wear my The Good Life t-shirt with leopard print yet, so here it is! This look gives me a high school vibe. I would wear graphic t-shirts and Converse a lot back then. This pair of high-tops is actually a pair from high school that I didn't wear that often which is why they're in such great condition! There are quite a few pairs of old Converse and Vans in my closet. I figured I should try to wear some of them more often since I've kept holding onto them. This pink pair matched the octopus on my shirt so wearing them together was meant to be. top: the good life concert | skirt: forever 21 | shoes: converse | bow: euberah What do you think about sneakers with dresses and skirts? I've been seeing people wear all kinds of outfits with various gym shoes. I like it! I think the pink Converse made this outfit feel kind of young. Now that I think abou...

Outfit: Leopard Print Peplum Skirt, Yellow Blouse, and Clear Studded Sandals

Image
Happy Labor Day! I hope you had a fantastic weekend! I wore this outfit a couple weeks back. I wanted to style this leopard print peplum skirt in a new way since I hadn't worn it in a while so this is what I came up with. It's nothing too special but I really like these spiked sandals whenever I wear them. Something about the clear straps makes them feel futuristic. In other news I had a great weekend at Dragon Con. Today's festivities go on until around 6 but I'm not sure when we're heading home. It's been a tiring but really fun weekend. I'll tell you all about it and show you the costumes I wore in another post. (Possibly Friday?) Check out my Instagram page for sneak peeks if you can't wait until then!  top, skirt: forever 21 | shoes: boohoo | bow: handmade Did you have a good weekend too? Is it starting to feel like fall where you are? It's not here! My costumes felt like they were melting onto my skin all weekend. Thanks Georgia...

Outfit: Cobalt Blue Off-The-Shoulder Top, Leopard Print Skirt, and White Sandals

Image
Happy Friday! How is the weekend already here again? I wore this outfit about 3 weeks ago and I can't believe how much my hair has grown in just that short amount of time. It's definitely time for me to have another haircut since my bangs are completely in my eyes.  But anyway, these are all new additions to my wardrobe except the vintage bracelet. You know those outfits where you're like, "I need to wear all the new things!" This is one of those outfits. This off-the-shoulder top is one of the new crop tops I got from Boohoo. I wanted to try out some different necklines. The leopard print skirt was an unnecessary, but totally necessary Forever 21 find and the sandals are new from Boohoo too. I figured I probably should have a pair of white shoes in my collection even if my shoe collection has become ridiculously large. top: boohoo | skirt: forever 21 | shoes: boohoo | bracelet: vintage I still can't believe how fast this week went by.
