Outfit: Burgundy Leather Jacket and a Crushed Velvet Top Layered Over a Leopard Print Dress

I picked up this crushed velvet crop top from Forever 21 a few weeks ago with a birthday gift card. I couldn't resist its delightful crushed velvety-ness! I actually had a dress in almost this exact same fabric but it was way too large in the shoulders and bust so I gave it to my sister. This crop top fits perfectly though! For its debut I layered it over a leopard print high-low dress I got at Target a couple years ago. Layering crop tops over dresses is a great way to remix your dresses without adding a lot of bulk. This was kind of a perfect way to make this dress work for fall since it has spaghetti straps. I added my burgundy leather jacket for extra warmth even though I wore this before that big cold front blew down here.

I just realized that this is the third outfit post in a row featuring leopard print. I'm sorry for leopard overload! I promise I don't wear it every day. These just happen to be the outfits I got pictures of recently.

So how has your week been? I can't believe it's already Friday! I have a busy weekend ahead with a birthday party for Dad today and a Georgia football game tomorrow. Then it's Thanksgiving week! So there'll be plenty of delicious food in the upcoming days. I'm pretty excited about that.

I love the rich colors in this outfit! I do that with blogging sometimes too--because I don't always post what I wear on the day that I wear it. Like today I realized I had three posts in a week with the same jacket. Woops! At any rate, I love leopard print so it's a win as far as I'm concerned!

I've been wanting some layering pieces for a while and I'm really to cropped jumpers to go over dresses. I never really though of cropped tops too, might have to see what I can find :)

Don't apologize for the leopard madness- you look great in leopard print! You know what? I use crop tops as layering pieces too-- and they end up being as long as "normal" top length for me!

These pictures are from my outing to The State Botanical Garden of Georgia, which just so happens to be conveniently located about 8 minutes from my apartment. Work Outfit: Light Blue Jersey Knit Dress and White Block Heels

I'm a big fan of what I call "pajama dresses," which are really just jersey knit skater dresses . They're comfortable enough to sleep in, yet can look 100% put-together if styled nicely. That's exactly what I did with this light blue dress California-based shop Tobi sent me to style. (Someone even asked me why I was dressed so nice at the dog park! I told them I just came from work, of course.) For the debut of my newest pajama dress, I added my silvery beaded Stella and Dot necklace and a pair of white block heel sandals from Forever 21. I actually bought the shoes back in December on sale and had to wait for it to warm up to finally wear them. Outfit: Concert Tee, Black Denim Mini Skirt, Pink Tights, and White Converse

Here I am wearing a concert t-shirt again. At this point I'm not sure I'll ever stop wearing them. Maybe when I'm 70 I won't wear them with bright pink tights and white wedge Converse, but really, who knows? Maybe we'll all be dressing like Zenon : Girl of the 21st Century by then. (I can only hope.) And if I really take a look at this outfit, all I need is a colorful vest and I may as well have come off the space station. They really liked vests in that movie. I guess they don't need sleeves when everything's climate controlled? It is, however, not climate controlled outside in Atlanta. These pictures are from a couple months ago but it still hasn't reliably warmed up here yet. Also, my hair is now completely different since I had it chopped off again into an asymmetrical pixie a couple weeks ago.
