Petite Panoply

Any excuse to wear a sequined skirt is a good enough excuse for me. I've worn this skirt on completely normal days too , but this specific outfit was worn at my sister's graduation party. Sequins and parties just go together! There's also a Little Mermaid feel going on with this skirt so I had to eventually pair it with this bold purple silk top. I thrifted this shirt a long while ago and love it but the wrinkles just do not want to come out. I tried my best! To accessorize, I added a short tie around my neck and my delightfully comfy two-toned Steve Madden flats that I got at Shoe Carnival for $15. Isn't it the best when a pair of shoes actually turn out to be substantially comfortable? It's kind of like a lottery when you buy a pair of shoes. Happy Wednesday! A while back my grandparents were clearing out my great grandma's house and I ended up with many scarves of various sizes. Some of them were more like a necktie width without actually being neckties. I figured they'd be perfect tied into bows worn with button down shirts or worn in my hair, but they've mostly sat folded in a drawer. I'm making an effort to remember they exist! This scarf tied into a bow was an afterthought but I think it makes the outfit interesting. Leopard print on its own sometimes isn't enough! I loved the way the subtle print in this red bow mixed with my leopard print button down. Sometimes its the accessories thrown on after getting dressed that really make an outfit special. Without the bow it's a pretty standard way to wear a leopard top like this. Navy blue is one of those colors that I naturally pair with leopard print. Hello and happy Monday everyone! I can't believe it's already Monday. Where did the weekend go? I guess I spent most of mine at band or trying to get a good amount of rest. Too bad I roll over onto my newly pierced ear about every hour.  Anyway, I wore this on Friday. I told you I'd have one more maroon skirt outfit and here it is! I love this skirt I bought over winter break! I think I could wear it a hundred different ways and it's so very flippy. I may just wear it the rest of the week and see what other outfits I come up with. I know you guys won't judge me for that. I wore almost this exact same outfit while I was up in Illinois, but I didn't get very great pictures of it. I'll post a few here so you can see though. All I did this time was change up the tights, shoes, and add a tie around my neck. My hair was much cooler the first time too thanks to Mom's super hair skills. This outfit is actually from this very day! Surprise! I had a presentation about media in the Vietnam War era so I figured a late 60's-inspired outfit would be appropriate. I tend to be like, "yeah inspiration from a certain era!" and then I end up in a costume. Tonight was the midnight premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2. Jeanie and I happily dressed up as Hogwarts students! The movie was epic and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I can't believe that was the last midnight Harry Potter premiere I'll be at. In the week leading up to the premiere we watched a Harry Potter movie each day. Needless to say, we were pretty pumped by the time Thursday rolled around. The 3D glasses were Harry Potter style! I'm sweeping Jeanie. More after the break:
