Work Outfit: Digital Floral Blouse, Brown Suede Skirt, Green Tights, and Clogs

Image
It's been way too long since I shared a work outfit with you guys. It just wasn't an option when the sun was setting so soon after getting home, but now that spring is here I'll have some more of these for you. This was a favorite outfit this past month - probably because of the mix of color, ruffles on the blouse, and the thrifted suede skirt I borrowed from my sister's closet back home. (She wasn't using it if it wasn't at school with her, after all.) Brown suede can be such a nice option for a chilly spring day and I loved how this skirt looked with my trusty brown clogs and the forest green tights. What do you think? skirt: thrifted | blouse, tights: forever 21 | clogs: korks - shoe carnival | sunglasses: delia's How was your Monday? I spent my time after work hanging on the couch, eating pizza and watching makeup YouTubers. When Matt's away for work I get to watch whatever I want the entire evening so of course I caught up on makeup tu...

Outfit: Rust Orange Suedette Dress with Brown Leopard Print Tights

Image
Happy Monday! I don't know why it's taken me so long to show you this outfit because I love how it turned out. This suedette dress is a pretty new Boohoo purchase from their petite line. I don't have anything else in my wardrobe in this rust orange shade so it was a necessary addition. It just about matches my hair! When I bought it I didn't realize it would lean quite so bodycon rather than shift style but that's okay. The faux suede material has a decent amount of stretch but it does cling to my tights. For the debut of this super autumnal-hued dress, I paired it with some brown leopard print tights I've had in my drawer for quite a long time and some dark brown ankle boots. The gold dangly earrings were probably from a relative at some point. I really enjoyed how this outfit came together. So much that I'd probably wear all these pieces together again! dress: boohoo petites | tights: forever 21 | boots: traffic | earrings: old Happy ML...

Blue Lace Dress for a Valentine Date Night

Image
Happy Friday! I'm excited to share this outfit with you because I loved it so much. I wore this on Wednesday night for Matt and my Valentine date. I enjoy getting all dressed up, so I took my sweet time curling my hair and perfecting my makeup when I had the chance. I was saving my new Modcloth dress for this occasion too. It always feels good to wear a new dress! oh so quiet dress : modcloth | scalloped suede heels: daisy fuentes - kohl's? | backseam nylons: macy's | necklace: gift from Matt | belt: came with a forever 21 skirt  Heart nails were a necessary addition to a Valentine outfit. lipstick: wet n wild megalast - stoplight red Backseam tights! Finally! I got them over winter break at Macy's and they didn't break my bank account. I think Matt liked them too which is always a plus.  I can't wait to wear this dress again. It'll probably be in a more casual way next time, but I think I can make that work. Th...

Happy Happy Valentine's Day

Image
I didn't know if I'd be able to get any pictures of my outfit today due to all the rain, but it let up a little. Hooray! I always enjoy dressing up for holidays. I actually had a completely different outfit planned for today but when I put it on I didn't like it. So here's the one I came up with after that: tights: c/o Oasap.com top, headband: forever 21 cardigan: old navy skirt, belt: thrifted shoes: daisy fuentes; kohls? necklace: gift from Matt a couple years back How do you like my cool new tights? I'd been really enjoying striped ones, so I'm glad to have a pair of my own. They get even more interesting at the top, but I'll show you that part in another outfit! P.S.: Sorry about the poop on the ground. I guess the birds wanted to leave me a Valentine. Now I realize I wore the same skirt and shoes for last Valentine's Day. Oh well! I put on the skirt I originally wanted to wear today and it was a bit big on me. So...

The Red Velvet Skirt

Image
I'm determined to get as much use out of this skirt as possible! It's hard to make it look really casual, but I'll try. If I fail, I don't mind looking fancy. This time I paired a t-shirt and Mom's lace cardigan with the red velvet skirt. I really liked the leopard print tights with it too. And how about the vintage-y shoes? I picked them up at Goodwill a while back. They're navy blue suede so I couldn't resist. cardigan: Mom's skirt: romwe.com shirt: delia*s? or kohls tights, headband: forever 21 shoes: goodwill Another jumping picture! ^I was making a face at Jeanie. I feel like my face is usually making goofy expressions like this.^ I need to get started on all the crap I have due on Friday. Why is it so hard to do things before the day before they're due? I don't know, but I have a headache and don't want to do this stuff. Ugh. Also, I've been thinking it's a day later than it ...

Story of Suede Shorts

Image
You can't really tell in these pictures, but these suede shorts are incredibly tight in the waist. I fought through it though because I'm cool like that. The shorts were only a dollar at the super cheap thrift store by home. I come across the most random things at that place. I think another trip there is in order over Thanksgiving break. ^Stone Face^ shorts: wilson's leather; thrifted top: delia*s blazer: talbots petites; thrifted scarf: lila boutique; gift tights: forever 21 shoes: forever 21 sunglasses: forever 21 I like how these shorts look, but I'm not sure I'll wear them again unless I magically wake up with a smaller waist. I just don't have a very hourglass shape. There's not a whole lot of waist definition; I'm more straight up and down. I just try to create the illusion of an hourglass shape (What Not To Wear told me I'm supposed to do that) ha. I'm leaving for St. Augustine, Florida in the mornin...
