Tuesday Tunes: Aaron Carter - That's How I Beat Shaq

In the year 2000, when I was 9-10, this song replayed constantly on either Disney Channel or Nickelodeon. Probably Nickelodeon since it was used as a song in the commercial for the Hey Arnold movie. That means it was stuck in my head a lot even though I was never into the pop music of the late 90s-early 2000s back then. (Now it's wonderfully nostalgic and I realize I know more lyrics than I let myself believe.)

You're probably asking yourself, "Why are you subjecting me to this piece of nostalgia?" Because I'm going to an Aaron Carter concert on Thursday right here in Athens, Georgia! Jeanie thought a nostalgia bomb would be the best birthday present ever and I agreed. Plus we both love to quote Aaron Carter in the Food Network Celebrity Cook-Off from last year when he complained about how hard it was to cook pasta. Oh Aaron Carter.

This venue he's performing at is really small so I'm sure I'll get to see him up close. Isn't it always weird seeing famous people in real life? I'm pumped though.

Happy Tuesday!

haha this post bought back memories! My niece was sooo into Aaron Carter and she even wrote him a fan letter (she was like seven so it was pretty short, but cute)

It's defiantly weird seeing famous people up close, I went to a Lily Allen concert and she is so tiny in real life...they always look taller on t.v!

Enjoy the concert! x

Have a wonderful time. I remember Aaron so well. My sister had the CD and somehow I've ended up with it so it is in my apartment now. What's the song called that goes "aaron oh aaron what are we going to do with you" about tickets to the backstreet boys concert. that song is hilarious.

I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT THIS SONG UNTIL JUST NOW! I love nostalgic things, and I was definitely a Nick kid growing up. I got into Disney Channel later on, though. I admit it...I enjoyed Lizzie McGuire, Hannah Montana, and Wizards of Waverly Place...lol. I was actually never really a fan of Aaron Carter, but I was in love with Nick Carter when I was around 9 or 10.
