Petite Panoply

It's been a while since I shared a work outfit with you but here's a pretty fun one featuring a flamingo print shirt. I was in the midst of preparing for our vacation in Las Vegas so the flamingos were reflective of that! This shirt from Shein isn't the best quality but the print is really cute and it looked good with my stretchy Forever 21 pencil skirt. I always feel like bodycon stuff looks so much better on me in real life than in pictures but oh well! I'm posting these anyway. Some of that may stem from the fact that I don't have a classic hourglass shape. My hips are very narrow and today I learned I have a trending body part: hip dips ! (Where there's an indentation where your hips meet your thighs .) Apparently that's something I'm supposed to reclaim and embrace. Happy Easter to all of you who celebrate! I wanted to post a particularly spring-y outfit to mark such a spring-tastic holiday. I wore this floral and bow print Pepaloves dress to work just the other day. It's one of those dresses I really love but don't wear super often. Maybe it's because it seems so memorable people might notice if I wore it all the time? Or maybe I just need to find more cropped cardigans so I can wear it with more colors. A nice pink one would be good... Anyway, I paired it with my teal cropped cardigan from Delia's (which is really the perfect cropped cardigan for me) and my pointed royal blue flats. I've been putting my hair up again more often so it's in this slightly messy bouffant with flower hair clips to match the dress. I picked up this dress for under $20 at Ross a little bit ago because I figured it'd be a great work dress. Plus I don't have a lot of pink pieces in my wardrobe which is a shame because I really like wearing pink! (Though I really like wearing pretty much any color...) It was a wonderful coincidence that the people over at Firmoo asked me to review a pair of their glasses right when my eyelid issue started flaring up. I actually needed an updated pair of glasses with a correct prescription to wear on non-contacts days! I picked out these blue square unisex frames because I loved the color. The blue looked a little lighter on the website but I really enjoy how they look in person too. The day I wore this outfit was one of those days where I kept piling on the color. Happy Monday! Jessica over at Midwest Muse let me borrow her amazing galaxy print dress last month and I'm pretty sure I need one of my own. I styled it pretty simply here with a green cardigan and my holographic flats from Forever 21. I continued the space theme with the Star Trek earrings I got at Dragon Con last year.  I feel like this is a kind of unique spring look! The galaxy print dress could easily be swapped for floral print but the different print really stands out. The great thing about galaxy print is it looks good with a ton of different colors too. I found this skirt in the clearance racks at New York & Co. and was planning on styling it in a casual way. I paired it with this gray brewery t-shirt and thought it ended up toning down the fanciness of the skirt. I'm sure this skirt will look really cute all dressed up too, but that would've been a little much for a mall trip. I just really liked how this outfit turned out. I don't wear a lot of skirts at this length but it worked here with my trusty clog sandals! Happy Friday everyone! I'm a little behind posting outfits here since this is what I wore on Easter. It was a very casual Easter. All we did was eat delicious dinner and take some pictures in the back yard which is a-okay with me!  I picked up this floral crop top from Forever 21 a couple weeks back because I liked the colors and figured it would pair well with a ton of things. I needed more crop tops in my collection! Especially since the weather is hot right now! Because of my short torso, cropped shirts sometimes fit me like an actual shirt is supposed to. Happy Friday everyone! It's time for another very spring appropriate outfit. I wore this on Matt's birthday (and then I wore it with a different cardigan to work the next day). I really enjoy how perfectly my cardigan and new wedges match so it was only appropriate to wear them together in at least one outfit post. It's such a pretty shade of blue for spring too! These shoes are yet another new pair, but I bought them a couple months back when it was too cold to wear them. Happy Friday everyone! Here's an outfit I wore last weekend that I really enjoyed. Basically every time I layer a shirt underneath this dress I'm happy. I don't know why I never tried layering my cat print shirt underneath it until now! The lace in the top works with the lace detailing on the dress. I just really like how they're both fishnet-ish and herringbone. They were a Christmas present so I'm not 100% sure where they're from, but it's probably Kmart.
