Periwinkle Blue Cardigan & Shoes with a White Polka Dot Dress

Happy Friday everyone! It's time for another very spring appropriate outfit. I wore this on Matt's birthday (and then I wore it with a different cardigan to work the next day). I really enjoy how perfectly my cardigan and new wedges match so it was only appropriate to wear them together in at least one outfit post. It's such a pretty shade of blue for spring too! These shoes are yet another new pair, but I bought them a couple months back when it was too cold to wear them. I'm sure I'll be getting plenty of use out of them over the next few months though.

You guys. My hair looks so good in these pictures compared to right now. I have the often enviable problem of very fast-growing hair. It's grown out a bunch since my last trim about three weeks ago. Too many hairs! Luckily Mom's giving me a hair cut today. Since cutting my hair off in mid-February I've already had it trimmed up twice if you count today. Good thing my mom is a hairdresser! 




How do you feel about matchy outfits? I know I do plenty of print and color mixing, but I also enjoy some delightfully match-tastic looks too. I love that both matching and non-matching are in style right now. I'm looking forward to breaking out my matching polka dot separates again this summer!

Your hair does look great! I usually have really fast growing hair too. I got it cut a bit too short back in October but rather than be upset, I just figured it would grow out quickly--especially being pregnant--but alas, it has barely grown an inch since then! Weird! Oh well! I love the light blue and polka dots today as well!

haha, yay for moms cutting hair! My mom trims mine, too. :3 She's no hairdresser, though--but it must be handy to have one around!

I am absolutely in LOVE with your new hair style, it is so cute! I bet it's so easy to wash aswell. Honestly, washing my hair is an absolute chore. The other day, I actually had the urge to tie my hair in a pony tail and just cut it at the band! You are looking fabulous than ever, J! Beautiful, lady! x

I think so things just match better than others. I have a few items that I just like to wear with one other colour but the more quirky the print to more inclined I am to add in another haha. Seems counter productive but oh well.
I love the polka dots, such a perfect pattern that you can wear whenever you want. I need to get a white with black dots to match my black with white dots.

Seriously love your hair! It's a perfect colour. I really need to trim my fringe, but urgh...

Botanical Fun

These pictures are from my outing to The State Botanical Garden of Georgia, which just so happens to be conveniently located about 8 minutes from my apartment. There were still a nice amount of flowers blooming so it was really pretty. I decided I needed to get more wears out of my pretty Steal the Game Show dress from Modcloth so I took some inspiration from other bloggers and wore it as a skirt! I actually really liked how this outfit turned out. Leather Scalloped Skirt, Polka Dots, & Orange Tights

Happy weekend everyone! I just had the most lazy weird Friday ever, so I'm updating later than usual. I basically slept on and off since class got done at noon. I know, I'm pretty exciting. This outfit was fun today though! I wore my leather skirt that we recently DIY scallop hemmed. I may post a little tutorial of sorts on how to do that, but it's pretty self explanatory. I like that the skirt is a little shorter now. It still squeezes my insides right at the waist, but it's more comfortable now that I'm having a few skinny months. Leather just doesn't have any give!
