Periwinkle Blue Cardigan & Shoes with a White Polka Dot Dress

Image
Happy Friday everyone! It's time for another very spring appropriate outfit. I wore this on Matt's birthday (and then I wore it with a different cardigan to work the next day). I really enjoy how perfectly my cardigan and new wedges match so it was only appropriate to wear them together in at least one outfit post. It's such a pretty shade of blue for spring too! These shoes are yet another new pair, but I bought them a couple months back when it was too cold to wear them. I'm sure I'll be getting plenty of use out of them over the next few months though. dress: forever 21 | cardigan: new york & co. | shoes: rack room shoes | pin: vintage from Great Grandma | belt: vintage from Grandma but was in Dad's closet for some reason You guys. My hair looks so good in these pictures compared to right now. I have the often enviable problem of very fast-growing hair. It's grown out a bunch since my last trim about three weeks ago. Too many hairs! Luck...

Floral Patchwork Print Dress, Purple Cardigan, & Orange Sunglasses

Image
Haaaappy Wednesday! Here's a simple outfit for a warm day. This dress has a really neat back, but I wanted to wear a regular bra, so a cardigan was the solution for that dilemma! I don't know why I never wore this purple cardigan with this dress before, but I like it. So many colors look nice with this dress though.  I just took a solitary trip to the library in this outfit, but it was a nice day. I checked out 7 books, so I'll be doing plenty of awesome reading for the next couple of weeks! I'm a nerd? dress, cardigan, sunglasses, necklace: forever 21  | shoes: xhileration - target | ring: great grandma collection I hope you're having a good week so far! I fully intend on catching up on reading all of your blogs soon but I'm so behind! I'll feel much more relaxed once I do, though. Adios!

A Floral & Bow Print PepaLoves Dress, Teal Cardigan, & Top Knot

Image
Happy Wednesday! I'm so excited to show you this dress PepaLoves sent me! I love the mix of bow and floral print, the gorgeous colors, and the incredibly full skirt. The straps will have to be taken up so I can wear it without a cardigan when it gets hot, but I'm really happy with this dress. It's so pretty! I paired it with my trusty cropped teal cardigan and a pair of off white tights. We've had a few strangely cool days here, so I'm happily wearing layers until it's scorching outside. matilda dress : c/o pepaloves | cardigan: delia's | tights: target kids' section | mary jane heels: croft & barrow - kohl's | earrings: from Mom | spiked bracelet: won from jigsaw london I kind of feel like this outfit makes me look like I'm going to a tea party. That's a-okay with me though! I hope you're all having a good week! I'm finally starting to relax after last week's super stress. Hooray!

Floral Cardigan, Maroon Dress, & Snake Skin Flats

Image
Happy Friday! I wore this dress and cardigan combination to my last class of the semester yesterday. (Unfortunately I have three final papers to write within the next week.) This dress is so incredibly comfortable sometimes I like to call it my pajama dress. I could seriously sleep in it. I have it in black too, which strangely hasn't been photographed for the blog. I love to throw these dresses on for comfy days or when I don't feel like coming up with an original outfit.  dress: forever 21 | floral cardigan: old navy |  snake print flats: CL for chinese laundry - ross dress for less | flower hair clip: forever 21 I have a lot of work ahead of me this weekend, but I'll do my best to stay sane with as many breaks as possible and plenty of coffee and tea. Good luck with the end of the semester all you people still in school!

Floral Pants & a Red Scalloped PepaLoves Bag

Image
How is it Monday already? Here's a casual outfit I wore yesterday for an early dinner with Matt and some super exciting grocery shopping. I want to wear these floral pants a few more times before it's uncomfortably hot outside!  PepaLoves kindly sent me this adorable red scalloped purse from their summer collection. It adds a pretty pop of color to any outfit. There are also plenty of pockets and two separate sections inside, which is always a plus in a purse! I've never been a "bag girl" (I'd rather buy a billion shoes) but I'm very excited about carrying this bag around this summer.  floral pants: h&m | cardigan: delia*s | t-shirt: forever 21 | studded flats: c/o sway chic | red scalloped eugenia bag: c/o pepaloves | earrings: thrifted I just realized there's a red-green color scheme going on in this outfit. It was unintentional, but I like unexpected color combinations! I actually wore an outfit with these colors around t...

Sky Blue 50s Sweater & a Bold Floral Skirt

Image
It's Friday! I wore this colorful floral skirt and blue 50s sweater to class yesterday. I'd brought this outfit home over spring break with every intention of wearing it, but that never happened because it was pretty cool outside that week. I figured yesterday was the perfect day to wear it since it wasn't too hot for the knit top yet.  I don't get a ton of use out of this sweater because it's rarely a moderate temperature in Georgia, but it's still a great piece to have in my closet. I won it on a Paraders Vintage giveaway a year or so ago. You can't beat this pretty sky blue color! vintage sweater: baar & beards - paraders vintage | skirt: homemade by mom | shoes: self esteem - shoe carnival | necklace - gift Jeanie and I were going to learn a bit of sewing from Mom a couple summers back, but that didn't end up happening so Mom just made the skirts for us. That means the execution was about 1000x better than anything I could ...

Ditsy Floral Dress & Blue Sunglasses

Image
Jeanie originally thrifted this dress but somehow I ended up with it! I kind of forgot it in my closet until recently. It used to have long sleeves but those had to go so it's wearable for spring and summer in Georgia. I really like its neckline and the fun coral-y color. It's vintage, but I'm not sure from when exactly. I would assume 70s or later with its delightful rayon fabric.  I just kept this outfit simple because the dress is really cute on its own. Plus it was 80 degrees outside so I was definitely not feeling layers. Once about a month of constant heat sets in I'll be toughing it out and wearing my cardigans just to mix things up. As for now I have no patience for that! dress: thrifted | shoes: bongo - kmart | belt: ralph lauren - thrifted | sunglasses: walmart | flower earrings: forever 21 Happy Wednesday!

Pink Leopard Print Dress & a Blue Cardigan

Image
Happy Monday! Here's an outfit I wore to class on a dreary, humid day. This is the kind of outfit I throw on when I don't really have another outfit in mind. You can't go wrong with a cardigan, dress, and flats! It looks like I tried, but in reality there was almost no effort put into this outfit. Hooray! dress: modcloth | cardigan: petite sophisticate - thrifted | studded flats: c/o sway chic | earrings: charming charlie | flower hair clip: forever 21 Have a good week!

Purple Cashmere Sweater, Floral Skirt, & a Satchel Purse

Image
This sweater might be the softest, most comfortable thing in my closet. The cashmere feels like pure luxury. It was definitely a great thrift find! I wanted to get a couple more wears out of it before the heat really settles in, so here it is with a floral skirt I've had for a few years and a satchel bag I thrifted a couple summers ago. Now that I think about it, I got both the sweater and the purse at my favorite thrift store I go to when we visit Illinois. I always find the best stuff there! sweater: ann taylor - thrifted | skirt: delia's | satchel purse: thrifted | tights: kmart | boots: city classified - traffic | earrings: great grandma collection I have so much school work to do this weekend! All I really want to do is relive childhood television through Netflix though. Have you seen all the Cartoon Network shows they just added? Plus all of the Nickelodeon ones that were already on there. It's a pretty epic collection of nostalgia. Jeanie and I...
