Outfit: Jean Jacket with a Floral Print Romper and Cutout Boots

Image
jean jacket: so... - thrifted | romper: xhileration - target | tights: walmart | boots: boohoo | necklace: gift | glasses: zenni optical I have a couple cooler weather outfits to show you from last month before they become extremely irrelevant. Here's one of them! For some reason I'd never worn tights with a romper before this. I guess I figured they're already so difficult to get off to use bathroom facilities that tights would add another awful step. Luckily they didn't make it a much larger problem. Plus this floral print romper is so incredibly short and flowy that the added tights coverage was nice.  This kind of felt like a fall outfit to me which is a-okay in my book. I'm actually dreading the humid summer heat we get here in Georgia and wish I could skip ahead to cooler days. You know how people dread winter because they hate leaving the house and going out in the cold? Well it's like that in the summer here - except hot. I spend most of the ti...

Outfit: Plaid Pleated Skirt, Blue Velvet Top, Jean Jacket, and Silver Shoes

Image
Sometimes I draw inspiration from the school uniforms I never had to wear. And by that I mean I wear this thrifted plaid skirt that I'm pretty sure was part of a child's school uniform. It fits like it was made for me and I love it. This time I paired it with a crushed velvet crop top and my jean jacket. I added silver accessories for some extra flair.  I really liked how this outfit turned out! It felt young, fun, and a little bit 90s-inspired. I always feel like I get bonus points when main parts of my outfit are thrifted too. 340 points for Hufflepuff! (Because, P.S. I'm a Hufflepuff according to Pottermore.) jean jacket: thrifted | velvet top: forever 21 | plaid skirt: thrifted | tights: forever 21 | shoes: sam & libby - target | necklace: sheinside Once again, I can't believe it's already Friday. Outfit: Floral Dress, Jean Jacket, and Fisherman Platform Sandals

Image
Happy Monday everyone! This is what I wore up to the apple orchards a couple weeks ago. I think I was too quick with this fall outfit though. Wearing tights and a jacket was comfortable in the air conditioned car, but it was still pretty warm up in the mountains with the sun glaring down on me. This is the bell sleeved dress I showed you back in June. I sort of hate that styling it for fall covers such a cute detail, but with the jean jacket it has a bit of a 90s vibe. It's good to be able to get different looks with one piece of clothing! The shoes here are the bronze version of the new black ones I bought. See why I needed both colors? They're so comfortable too! dress: forever 21 | jacket: so... - thrifted | tights: walmart? | shoes: korks - shoe carnival Sorry this post went up a little late according to my usual schedule but I just couldn't keep my eyes open last night. Remix: Classic Jean Jacket

Image
Happy Friday everyone! It's kind of a travesty that I haven't put together a remix post since January, so here is me wearing a classic jean jacket multiple ways. You probably already know how versatile a jean jacket can be, but it's always nice to see things styled a few different ways. I've been wearing my jean jacket a ton lately but it's just about too warm for it now. The one I'm wearing most often in these pictures was thrifted but originally a brand Kohl's carries and the darker one was borrowed from Mom before I found my thrifted one. Anyway, click the number below each picture to go to the original post if you feel so inclined: One | Two Three | Four | Five Six | Seven Eight | Nine

Abstract Digital Print Dress, Jean Jacket, Pink Tights, & Ankle Boots

Image
Happy Friday everyone! You may remember this abstract digital print dress from last summer. It kind of stands out with all the fun colors. I ended up styling it up for cooler spring weather this time with my pink tights and jean jacket. I swear I've been wearing this jean jacket with everything lately because I know it'll be way too warm for it soon. Like now.  How would you style this dress up for warm weather? Last time I just wore some yellow wedges with it. It's kind of a busy dress so it's difficult to make it different each time. I guess I don't really  have to wear a completely different outfit every time I get dressed. (Not that I do that all the time anyway.) dress: boohoo | jacket: so... - thrifted | tights: kmart | boots: boohoo | lipstick: occ lip tar in rollergirl Do you have a fun weekend ahead of you? I'll be researching, but there's good news! I will be able to finish my master's degree in two weeks! It's been a l...

Jean Jacket, Striped Top, Corduroy Shorts, Green Lace Tights, Moccasins, & a 90s Choker Necklace

Image
Happy Monday everyone! This is an outfit I wore a couple weeks back. It's currently a little too warm for my jean jacket, but the weather people say it's supposed to cool down this week so we'll see. Anyway, the main story with this outfit is that I'm bringing the choker necklace back. Not really, but I tried. It wasn't a planned thing but I was feeling a slightly 90s vibe going on with my jean jacket that day so I figured I may as well add the choker. It was my mom's 90s choker so that's exciting. Chokers aren't technically the best choice for short people since they cut off the neckline, but my high-waisted shorts help to counter the shortening effect of the choker. Plus who says I always have to try to look tall? It's all an illusion on the blog anyway since putting me next to any reference items (or people) gives away my height! Maybe it's time you dug out a choker necklace from the depths of your jewelry...box / drawer / pile? jean ...

Jean Jacket, Floral Shoes, & a Blue Lace Crop Top over a Black Jersey Knit Dress

Image
Happy Friday! This was a comfortable outfit I wore about a week ago. I bought this blue crochet lace crop top on clearance about a year ago and thought I'd wear it with everything. However that did not happen so I felt compelled to actually style it the other day. I threw it over one of my comfiest dresses that I actually wear a lot but don't photograph often. I'm not sure this dress has ever been on the blog, but I know its maroon twin has been! I call them my pajama dresses. They're that comfortable. I figured this crop top would mix up this dress a little bit. I threw on my jean jacket and some floral heels for a spring-y vibe. Also, is it just me or is my hair looking particularly awesome with warm-weather outfits? Maybe its the novelty of it, but I'm loving it. top: delia's | dress: forever 21 | shoes: delia's | jacket: so... - thrifted | bracelet: jigsaw london In other news, I passed my comprehensive exams! Floral Trousers, White Sailor Top, Black Converse, & a Jean Jacket

Image
Happy Monday everyone! This is the outfit I wore to my comprehensive exams two Fridays ago. Matt snapped these pictures for me outside of Cine (a local movie theatre) after we watched a film at the Eco Film Festival that was going on. We had a really fun weekend after I took my exams.  I was originally wearing some really cute tan loafers this day, but they tore up my feet walking out to campus. Once I got back to the apartment I had to find some comfy shoes to walk all the way downtown. The only ones I had out in Athens that weren't sandals were my trusty old Converse. And when I say "old" I mean it. They're from junior year of high school. Mom bought them for me to wear in my Jojo costume when I was in Seussical the Musical. They may look ratty but they're incredibly comfortable after this many years of use! Putting them on was like magic after the damage done to the back of my ankles from those other shoes. Magic comfort. P.S. Don't you guys love t...

Jean Jacket, Olive Green Sweater, Leopard Top, Leather Skirt, & Leopard Print Tights

Image
Happy Monday! Here's an outfit I wore last month that I'm just now posting. I'm behind! I wore this to the Neutral Milk Hotel concert. I was plenty warm with my sweater and jean jacket. These studded loafers are nice and comfy (now that they have those Dr. Scholls pads stuck on the back to protect my ankles), so they're good concert shoes. This outfit just makes me really happy that it's fall and I can actually do some layering without dying of heat stroke.  denim jacket: so... - thrifted (originally from kohl's) | sweater: mossimo - target | leopard shirt: thrifted | skirt: forever 21 | tights: kohl's | loafers: x-appeal - rack room shoes | hair bow: forever 21 What is it about this leopard print shirt and olive green sweater that makes them look so perfect together? Corduroy Shorts, Vintage T-shirt, Knee Socks, & a Jean Jacket

Image
Happy Friday everyone! These pleated corduroy shorts are kind of like old man pants in shorts form, but they look so good with band t-shirts. I've definitely worn something similar to this before. It's such a comfy combination. This time I added my new jean jacket to the mix though! I broke out my black over-the-knee socks too because I'd forgotten how incredibly annoying knee socks are. I swear I can't take 10 steps without having to pull them up. They're definitely best for lounging around the house! t-shirt: vintage from dad | shorts: forever 21 | jacket: so... - thrifted | socks: target | shoes: forever 21 | belt: thrifted lipstick: occ lip tar - NSFW How was your week? Any fun weekend plans? Unfortunately I'm feeling under the weather and have a lot of research to do. I guess I'll be doing that all weekend. I might have to take some fun breaks to keep from going crazy though! At least I might go out to the botanical gardens today and...
