Jean Jacket, Striped Top, Corduroy Shorts, Green Lace Tights, Moccasins, & a 90s Choker Necklace

Happy Monday everyone! This is an outfit I wore a couple weeks back. It's currently a little too warm for my jean jacket, but the weather people say it's supposed to cool down this week so we'll see. Anyway, the main story with this outfit is that I'm bringing the choker necklace back. Not really, but I tried. It wasn't a planned thing but I was feeling a slightly 90s vibe going on with my jean jacket that day so I figured I may as well add the choker. It was my mom's 90s choker so that's exciting.

Chokers aren't technically the best choice for short people since they cut off the neckline, but my high-waisted shorts help to counter the shortening effect of the choker. Plus who says I always have to try to look tall? It's all an illusion on the blog anyway since putting me next to any reference items (or people) gives away my height!
Maybe it's time you dug out a choker necklace from the depths of your jewelry...box / drawer / pile?

So what's going on with you? Any exciting plans for the week? I'll be reading many academic articles, attempting to write a paper, and working. Sad times, you guys. It's very hard to concentrate on school work! I have an epic case of senioritis. Though it's not really senioritis since I was a senior in college 2 years ago. I'm going to call it the graduate school blues and also you're-23-get-out-of-school-itis.

I've always loved chokers, there's something skanky in them! :D I had a choker with studs on it, I looked like a dog :D

Wao I had totally forgotten about choker necklaces! I used to wear them all the time when I was a teenager, I probably even have a couple laying around in my old jewelry boxes. Looking cute as always Jamie, keep up the great outfits!

Dude, I love this so much! Your choker is awesome. The 90s going on here is awesome. I remember all those neon stretchy choker bracelets and necklaces that looked like tattoos since they were flattish. Da. Best.

I'm a big fan of what I call "pajama dresses," which are really just jersey knit skater dresses . They're comfortable enough to sleep in, yet can look 100% put-together if styled nicely. Botanical Fun

These pictures are from my outing to The State Botanical Garden of Georgia, which just so happens to be conveniently located about 8 minutes from my apartment. There were still a nice amount of flowers blooming so it was really pretty. I decided I needed to get more wears out of my pretty Steal the Game Show dress from Modcloth so I took some inspiration from other bloggers and wore it as a skirt! I actually really liked how this outfit turned out. ...be it! I love a good performance of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. We went to see the live shadow cast Lips Down on Dixie perform at the Plaza Theatre in Atlanta. It was awesome, as always! This is Jeanie and her friend Leslie before they got their lipstick Rocky virgin V's on their foreheads. Leslie even got the honor of holding the criminologist's book during a part of the show. Pretty ballin'. Butt shot! Yes, those are heels I have on with leopard print pajamas. It was a take on Columbia in the touch-a touch me scene. The real pj's are stripes, but this is what I had! I did have the mickey ears and crazy makeup though, so it counts. [How fun would it be to wear one of those costumes for Halloween?] I always enjoy this show.
