Outfit: Yellow Top, Orange Red Floral Skirt, and Fringe Sandals

Image
I feel like I have a different hair color in every new post here! I've been having fun trying out new non-red hair colors these past few months. These pictures were taken right after I had my hair done so it was very freshly toned with purple toner to make it nice and cool-toned. I enjoyed the way it contrasted with my warm-toned outfit. Now my hair is pink though - so head over to Instagram to see that!  Now on to the outfit: Most of these pieces have been seen on the blog before minus my new-ish brown fringe sandals I bought off of Amazon for $10. They're really comfortable too! I styled them with a top I got on clearance at Target and a handmade floral print pleated skirt. top: target | skirt: handmade | shoes: amazon I've been absent a little while since I was away on vacation in Las Vegas and have also been working a lot prior to that. Las Vegas was awesome and my bachelorette party was a ton of fun, including seeing Thunder From Down Under again, eat...

Outfit: Mustard Yellow Top, Pleated Polka Dot Skirt, and Red Flats

Image
It's finally the weekend and I'm excited to show you an outfit I've actually been rewearing pretty often the past couple of months. I'm a big fan of pairing primary colors together - maybe because they look good with my hair - so this has been one of my new favorite outfits. I picked the mustard yellow top up on clearance at target for about $12 and it's so perfect. This shade of yellow looks good with so many other colors and it'll work year round. I styled it with the navy blue polka dot skirt from a matching set and a pair of simple red pointed flats. This whole outfit is very me. Plenty of color, polka dots, lace, pointed flats... top: target | skirt, flats: forever 21 I apologize for the short break in posting. Life has been ridiculous. If you follow me on Snapchat (via JahmieRose) you may have seen the fiasco that has been my life this past week. Here's my story of woe if you're at all interested.  If not, feel free to move along:  ...

Outfit: Yellow Embroidered Shift Dress, Pink Tights, and Clogs

Image
Happy weekend to you! Here's yet another colorful outfit for you to look at. Something about pink and yellow just looks so fun and happy to me. I got this dress for Christmas and the wheels were instantly turning in my head, deciding what colors to pair it with. I wore black tights with it on its first time out (and didn't get pictures) but I went for something more exciting this time. These bright pink tights are a favorite of mine - and also are super comfy for whatever reason - so I threw them on along with some pink lipstick and my comfy Korks clogs. dress: h&m | tights: kmart | shoes: korks - shoe carnival How has your weekend been so far? We're just hanging out around the apartment today, I think. I'm not ready for the work week to start! We spent yesterday in town and went to a little festival thing down the street, took Riker to the dog park, and watched the new episode of Outlander. All in all a good Saturday, but I'm looking forward to a...

Work Outfit: Mustard Yellow Shift Dress with Blue Peeptoe Wedges

Image
A couple years ago I probably wouldn't have picked up a shift dress like this, but there are a lot of more-fitted ones around now that they've come back into style! I think the older I get, the more styles I enjoy (which can be a problem when you like clothes because then the wardrobe just keeps getting larger.) This yellow dress should be a super versatile year-round piece though, so I couldn't resist it. Mustard yellow pairs with so many different colors too. This time I went with a pair of blue wedges to contrast. I actually wore this outfit during headshots day at work. They brought in makeup people and everything. They did my makeup very natural-looking. I tend to like either a little more on the eyes or on the lips, but my skin looked great! It's been a little cool here in Georgia for this time of the year. How would you style this dress for fall? You think a collared shirt would layer well underneath it? I might have to try! dress: forever 21 | sho...

Acid Wash Skinny Jeans, Polka Dot Crop Top, & a Mustard Cardigan

Image
My style can really fluctuate from day to day! Sometimes I want to be super retro and other days I want to be trendy and cool. I know I was scoffing at acid wash jeans in stores a year ago but then I saw these while browsing Boohoo and a light bulb went off. They all of a sudden were super cool to me. I really enjoy a lot of 80s trends so why shouldn't I try this one? They're an especially great pair of jeans because they're acid wash in a modern skinny cut (with a flattering butt area - not mom jeans at all). Needless to say, they're a new favorite now.  This time I paired them with my polka dot crop top (which was a bit too cold even though these pictures were taken in October) and my trusty mustard cardigan. This cardigan is on its last legs though. I definitely got my money's worth but I'm on the lookout for a new one! jeans: boohoo | top: forever 21 | cardigan: target | boots: boohoo | headband: forever 21 It was super windy the d...

A Jeanie Outfit: Mustard Oasap Dress, Purple Tights, & Fringe Boots

Image
I ordered this retro mustard dress with some credit from Oasap but it didn't fit me! Luckily it was a perfect fit on Jeanie so I gave it to her and she's modeling it in this post. She paired it with a pair of purple tights and some cute wedge boots with fringe detailing. I think this is a perfect dress for fall because it's one of those distinctly autumnal colors. Mustard can pair with so many different colors too! This dress is also a pretty heavy material for the price so it should be plenty warm for a mild Georgia winter. dress: c/o oasap | tights: target? | belt: thrifted | boots: modcloth Do you guys have anything fun planned for Halloween tomorrow? I'll be dressing up and heading downtown after my annual Halloween movie marathon! I'm pretty pumped. Halloween is my favorite holiday after all.  Happy Wednesday!

A Super Colorful Tropical Print Skirt, Yellow Top, & Pink Wedges

Image
Happy Wednesday everyone! Here's a very colorful outfit I wore the other day while visiting people in Illinois. I had an idea of not wearing any neutral colors in this outfit and it really worked out in my opinion. I actually wore a version of this before but never put it on the blog. This skirt has one of the best prints in my whole wardrobe. It's so bright and fun! Plus nobody else has one like it since it was handmade by my mom. skirt: handmade | top: forever 21 | shoes: cherokee - target | sunglasses: forever 21 | pink earrings: thrifted | wheel earrings: forever 21 I asked Mom to put my hair up that day and a big bouffant resulted. I usually ask her to make it nice and big. It's glorious. If only Mom could do my hair every day. This is all swirly and pretty and professional. When I do my own hair at school the back is a mess 90% of the time. Which means I just slap a couple bows on it and ta-da! Good enough.  And here is my magazine face pose for y...

Maroon Skater Skirt, Mustard Top, & a Zebra Cardigan

Image
Something about this skirt makes me want to pair it with shades of yellow. It may be lingering high school pride since our school colors were maroon & gold, but I think it's more likely that yellow just contrasts really well with this skirt! Also it would be great if I had this skirt in about 20 different colors because it looks good with everything. I wore this outfit on Wednesday and it was perfect outside so I broke out my silver sandals. The silver necklace is from my Great Grandma collection of jewelry and I think it has a really cool Ancient Greece feel to it. Obviously I had to match my necklace to my shoes. skater skirt: h&m | zebra cardigan, yellow blouse: forever 21 | silver sandals: rocket dog - shoe carnival | necklace: great grandma collection Sorry I don't have anything particularly exciting to say today! I've just been enjoyably wandering around town with Mom the past couple days. I've been relaxing a little too which is just ...
