Acid Wash Skinny Jeans, Polka Dot Crop Top, & a Mustard Cardigan

My style can really fluctuate from day to day! Sometimes I want to be super retro and other days I want to be trendy and cool. I know I was scoffing at acid wash jeans in stores a year ago but then I saw these while browsing Boohoo and a light bulb went off. They all of a sudden were super cool to me. I really enjoy a lot of 80s trends so why shouldn't I try this one? They're an especially great pair of jeans because they're acid wash in a modern skinny cut (with a flattering butt area - not mom jeans at all). Needless to say, they're a new favorite now.

This time I paired them with my polka dot crop top (which was a bit too cold even though these pictures were taken in October) and my trusty mustard cardigan. This cardigan is on its last legs though. I definitely got my money's worth but I'm on the lookout for a new one!

It was super windy the day Jeanie took these pictures for me. I'm surprised any of them turned out! Most of them were of me fixing my bangs. Luckily Jeanie is getting good at quickly taking outfit pictures for me. Sometimes this blog needs a change in scenery so it's great to have someone who can take pictures quickly while we're out and about! I take credit for camera settings/teaching flattering angles/editing, but the composition here is all her. She's learned well! Thanks Jeanie!

I hope you guys are having a nice week. I have a lot of paper writing to get done by Friday so I should be working on that the rest of the week. I'll be really glad when this week is over!

Happy Wednesday!

This is such a cute retro look! You are definitely channelling the 80s but not in a cheesy way!! This polka dot top is too cute

It's so sad that there is a very small window where crop tops are an option during the fall. There's a point, which is usually in October, that you're just plain cold in them! Good thing we got the summer...although some of my crop tops are long-sleeved. haha.

I've never really been a huge fan of acid wash for myself, but I love seeing other people work with it! You look great!

Oh man, I love a spikey headband! I hadn't realized your hair had gotten so long, it looks really beautiful with the waviness. And I never thought acid wash jeans would look cool but then you went and made them cool, you could probably make bunny boots look awesome and stylish.

Jealous of everything, even though I can't pull off mustard =P I could totally rock that headband or the jeans, though! *secretly abducts your closet, which wouldn't fit me anyway, but still*

I'm the same! Haha. Some days I want to be the most vintage lady and only ever wear vintage but I'm such a sucker for trends sometimes... Polka dots + mustard are probably the most perfect combination of clothes ever thought up :)
