Outfit: Polka Dot Blazer, Purple Graphic Tee, and Acid Wash Skinny Jeans

Just a quick outfit post today! I wore this casual outfit last week and probably didn't even need the jacket when I took these pictures. I thought it was a much more interesting look with the addition of my polka dot blazer though. This blazer always gets buried underneath other more-often-worn coats so I sometimes forget about it. It's a nice light layer that's actually perfect for springtime. Unfortunately it's usually too hot for jackets once proper springtime rolls around, so I'm wearing it now! I threw it on over a purple The New Pornographers band t-shirt and my skinny acid wash jeans.  I really like these jeans but I find them hard to style. I know I should treat them as a neutral denim but for some reason that's difficult for me! How do you guys style acid wash items? I know they're not everyone's taste, but once I bought these pants I appreciated the 80s goodness so much more. They're a good mix of a vintage wash with a modern cut. Als...

Outfit: Acid Wash Skinny Jeans, Polka Dot Top, Blue Cardigan, & a Black Boater Hat

Happy Monday everyone! It's a new week, summer is officially over, and here I am pretending it feels like fall. I just really wanted to wear jeans! This outfit was comfortable enough for a few minutes out in the heat though. My upper stomach could feel the fresh air so I guess that was my air conditioning. Do you guys like my new hat? I ordered it during a Nasty Gal sale. I figured it's black so I can get away with wearing it in the cooler months but it's straw so it'll be fine to wear in the heat too! Win win! I really love wearing hats but I forget to wear them. I have a decent amount of them too. It's a shame to let them sit there unworn so I've been trying to plan outfits around them. jeans: boohoo | top: forever 21 | cardigan: target | wedges: y not? - shoe carnival | necklace - dragon con | hat: nasty gal I feel like I always talk about the weekend on here, but oh well. There's not a whole lot going on in my life right now! I had a good ...

Pink Bow Sweater, Acid Wash Jeans, & Studded Loafers

Happy Monday everyone! This is a pretty casual outfit I wore because I had to pack some things in my car. Plus I wanted to get some wear out of these acid wash jeans I just had to have. I still think they're cool and I don't care who knows it! This time I paired them with my pink bow sweater and some black studded loafers.  (And thank you to Matt for quickly snapping these for me before I left!) sweater: elle - kohl's | jeans: boohoo | loafers: xappeal - rack room shoes Did you guys have a nice weekend? I'm spending time visiting family right now, so it's not exactly a restful break so far, but that's okay. I'm still having fun and it's great to not be in school. I've been doing crossword puzzles, catching up on my backlog of blogs I read, thrifting, and trying to reach my Goodreads yearly book goal. Nerdy times you guys. I love it.  Have a great beginning of your week!

Acid Wash Skinny Jeans, Polka Dot Crop Top, & a Mustard Cardigan

My style can really fluctuate from day to day! Sometimes I want to be super retro and other days I want to be trendy and cool. I know I was scoffing at acid wash jeans in stores a year ago but then I saw these while browsing Boohoo and a light bulb went off. They all of a sudden were super cool to me. I really enjoy a lot of 80s trends so why shouldn't I try this one? They're an especially great pair of jeans because they're acid wash in a modern skinny cut (with a flattering butt area - not mom jeans at all). Needless to say, they're a new favorite now.  This time I paired them with my polka dot crop top (which was a bit too cold even though these pictures were taken in October) and my trusty mustard cardigan. This cardigan is on its last legs though. I definitely got my money's worth but I'm on the lookout for a new one! jeans: boohoo | top: forever 21 | cardigan: target | boots: boohoo | headband: forever 21 It was super windy the d...
