Polka Dot Bustier Top, Chambray Skirt, Orange Sunglasses, Red Purse, & Silver Sandals

Happy Monday everyone! Here's an outfit I wore a couple weeks back on a particularly warm day. Spring has been very up and down temperature wise so I was completely comfortable in this skin-baring outfit. Matt and I took a walk up to the Smoothie King and wandered around town a little bit. So this is an outfit I actually went out and did something in. Hence the addition of my red PepaLoves bag and smoothie accessory. I'm sure I complained about the heat at some point, but it was a very pleasant afternoon walk. Plus I got to break out some very summery clothes even though I'll probably be ready to put them away once June hits.  I really like how these pictures turned out. (Thanks Matt!) Leopard Peplum Skirt, Black Lace Top, Red Cardigan, Lace Tights, & Ankle Boots

I rarely wear skirts with this shape, but something about the leopard print and peplum on this skirt made me buy it. It's not that I'm self conscious about my bottom half. It's just that I have a smallish butt/zero hips with decent sized boobs so a flared skirt tends to balance me out. Sometimes I just don't care though. This outfit felt balanced and I definitely think the peplum on the skirt helps. Plus you can't go wrong with black, red, & leopard print. Sorry for the short post, but it's super late as I'm scheduling this and there were really only a couple decent pictures of this outfit. Mint Sweater, Purple Velvet Skirt, & Polka Dot Tights

It's another post in the Georgia snow! Don't worry about my coat-less outfit. It wasn't really that cold outside. Only my feet were frozen in these little silver flats. They're not very insulated! They're not really that comfortable either, but that's another story. I've had this purple velvet skirt for a long time now so I figured I'd try combining purple with mint green. The blue tones in the sweater come out a lot more in photographs, but I promise it's mint green.  This wasn't my favorite outfit ever, but it's something I wore so I'm posting it. It was plenty warm and comfy for my snow day. Happy Monday! Since there was Snowpocalypse 2014 in Atlanta last week, I decided to take advantage of the pretty snowy ground and take some pictures. It's very rare that my back yard has snow and it looks so pretty like that! The snow has already been gone for a couple days now, but here are the pictures I took the day after it snowed. Apparently this dress is my snow dress because I wore it in the snow in December in Illinois too. This time I layered my cropped blue sweater over it, added fishnet-ish tights, and a red hat and shoes. This black wool coat is from way back in the day and I'm surprised it still zips over my boobs. Remix: Black Ruffled Lace Skirt

It's time for another remix post! I've had this lace ruffled skirt from Forever 21 for ages now. I think I bought it in 2010 and it's still going strong! It's a little short but it's still acceptable with tights and during those hot summer months. Plus I like my legs, so I'll wear short skirts as long as I'm young enough not to get strange looks. I just have to be diligent not to let my butt show because the general public doesn't need to see that. Anyway, here are some ways I've worn this skirt over the years. Kelly Green Sweater, Flannel Shirt, Black Skater Skirt, & Yellow Tights

This outfit is from my trip up to Illinois, hence the snow in the pictures! I almost didn't wear these yellow tights, thinking they might add too much bright color to this outfit, but I went for it. I love the way they look with my green sweater. It's hard for an outfit to be too colorful in my book! This actually may be a new favorite outfit of mine! The colors look so vibrant against the snowy background. Also, my hair-do looks especially nice in these pictures because Mom put it up. A Jeanie Holiday Outfit: Vintage Wool Coat, Green Peplum Dress, & Floral Tights

Merry Christmas! Jeanie told me I should title this post "Jeanie Can't Make Normal Faces" but I picked the pictures with her making relatively normal faces except for one. This is the outfit she wore when I wore my leopard print coat and black lace dress. This vintage wool coat was one of our great grandma's too and now my sister gets to wear it! She said it's really warm. Plus it has that cool striped lining on the inside so you can tell it's fancy. Underneath the coat she wore a green peplum dress from Modcloth and some really cool floral tights. We found those shoes at Target for $6 the other day too. Happy Wednesday everyone! I wore this outfit a couple weeks back. I really liked the way these colors looked together. It's amazing how many colors pair well with maroon/burgundy shades. This time my cat print shirt was paired with my trusty purple velvet mini skirt. Luckily I have a couple thrifted wool pencil skirts hanging around so those are plenty appropriate.
