Kelly Green Sweater, Flannel Shirt, Black Skater Skirt, & Yellow Tights

This outfit is from my trip up to Illinois, hence the snow in the pictures! I almost didn't wear these yellow tights, thinking they might add too much bright color to this outfit, but I went for it. I love the way they look with my green sweater. It's hard for an outfit to be too colorful in my book! This actually may be a new favorite outfit of mine! The colors look so vibrant against the snowy background. Also, my hair-do looks especially nice in these pictures because Mom put it up. There are many perks to having a hairdresser in the family!

I hope you're having a great week. It's always kind of depressing after New Year's Eve is over, don't you think? January and February kind of suck as far as months go. Maybe they'll be good this year though. You never know.

I love your outfit! Aren't black skater skirts the most versatile thing? And the tights are a nice pop of color. I think my family enjoys having a hairstylist in the family as well. (Yours truly!) Your hair looks great.

Awh man, you mom is a hairdresser?! Absolutely no fair! I've always wanted my mom to be a hairdresser so she could do my hair because I certainly can't.

Botanical Fun

These pictures are from my outing to The State Botanical Garden of Georgia, which just so happens to be conveniently located about 8 minutes from my apartment. There were still a nice amount of flowers blooming so it was really pretty. I decided I needed to get more wears out of my pretty Steal the Game Show dress from Modcloth so I took some inspiration from other bloggers and wore it as a skirt! I actually really liked how this outfit turned out. Leather Scalloped Skirt, Polka Dots, & Orange Tights

Happy weekend everyone! I just had the most lazy weird Friday ever, so I'm updating later than usual. I basically slept on and off since class got done at noon. I know, I'm pretty exciting. This outfit was fun today though! I wore my leather skirt that we recently DIY scallop hemmed. I may post a little tutorial of sorts on how to do that, but it's pretty self explanatory. I like that the skirt is a little shorter now. It still squeezes my insides right at the waist, but it's more comfortable now that I'm having a few skinny months. Leather just doesn't have any give!
