Kelly Green Sweater, Flannel Shirt, Black Skater Skirt, & Yellow Tights

Image
This outfit is from my trip up to Illinois, hence the snow in the pictures! I almost didn't wear these yellow tights, thinking they might add too much bright color to this outfit, but I went for it. I love the way they look with my green sweater. It's hard for an outfit to be too colorful in my book! This actually may be a new favorite outfit of mine! The colors look so vibrant against the snowy background. Also, my hair-do looks especially nice in these pictures because Mom put it up. There are many perks to having a hairdresser in the family! sweater: ann taylor loft - thrifted | flannel top: xhileration - target | skirt: forever 21 | tights: forever 21 | shoes: boohoo | earrings: charming charlie I hope you're having a great week. It's always kind of depressing after New Year's Eve is over, don't you think? January and February kind of suck as far as months go. Maybe they'll be good this year though. You never know. Happy Friday!

Cartoon Print Top, Jean Jacket, & a Black A-Line Skirt

Image
It's already Monday again! This weekend flew by and now it's time for another week of school work. That's okay though because the weekend was good and last week had definite high points (such as Neutral Milk Hotel). Plus I now have the Allegiant  book in my possession so I'm looking forward to reading that asap. But enough talk of life and on to the outfit! I wore this to the Aaron Carter concert right before my birthday. I ditched the hat for the actual concert in order to not lose it or bother people's line-of-sight. Though thinking about me blocking people's view is kind of hilarious because I'm not even 5 feet tall. Anyway, I decided my "pow" top needed to be worn again and paired it with my thrifted jean jacket and black skater skirt. It was a fun outfit but also comfy which is a winning outfit duo. top: papaya | jean jacket: so... - thrifted (originally from kohl's) | skirt: forever 21 | wedges: y not? - shoe carnival | hat: h&...

A B-52's Concert Shirt, Red Skirt, & Gold Loafers

Image
Happy Wednesday everyone! Yep, this is another red and blue outfit. You could definitely say this is a favorite color combination of mine. This concert t-shirt is one of my favorites because of its bold primary colors and fun design. It looks particularly perfect with a red skirt. Of course my sparkly gold loafers had to make an appearance again. If you're going bold, you might as well go all out. At least that's usually how outfits work in my world.  top: from a b-52's concert | skirt: thrifted | shoes: xhileration - target | bow: gift | sunglasses: kohl's | earrings: charming charlie When I edited these pictures I realized my nails matched my shirt. Outfit win. I've been trying to catch up with your blogs and commenting and all that good blog community stuff. I'm sorry I'm way behind! I kind of dedicated this week to getting my crap together for my epic spring internship search. Then I have ten thousand pounds of school work loomin...

Cartoon Print "Pow!" Top, Ruffled Lace Skirt, & Studded Loafers

Image
Happy Wednesday everyone! I wore this on an outing to the mall with Matt on Monday. I've had this skirt for years now and have definitely got my money's worth out of it. I never think about how short it is until I see pictures, but oh well! I'm comfortable with my legs so as long as my actual butt isn't out then I'm a-okay. This "pow!" shirt is a new addition and I love how ridiculous it is. It goes along with the cartoon print trend. It was definitely a trendy purchase but it was cheap so that's okay. I'm wearing a bunch of things I can't wear very often when I have a real grown-up job next year. It makes sense to wear some trendy, young-looking styles while I'm actually still young. Also, these studded loafers are new too. Because I needed yet another new pair of shoes. Seriously somebody needs to make me stop. The shoes are overflowing! top: papaya | skirt: forever 21 | shoes: x-appeal - rack room shoes | earrings: charm...

In a Psychotic State (T-shirt)

Image
This is probably my most favorite shirt I own. I've never seen another like it. Even looking it up online yielded no same results. It was my dad's back in the day so that gives you an idea of how tight the men's t-shirts were in, I assume, 1982. There are pictures of me wearing this shirt as a little kid because it was given to me to sleep in. Now I proudly wear it as a (sort of) adult! t-shirt: from Dad | skirt, belt: thrifted | shoes: xhileration - target | earrings: charming charlie My poor feet are once again torn up from my sparkly loafers. I need to figure out some way to wear them in because my ankles are sad. I walked to campus in them this morning and ended up calling Matt with a plea to "bring me my leopard print flats for the love of god I'm dying". Well, it sort-of sounded like that in my head. They're so pretty, but so painful for walking distances. Luckily Matt is a kindly type of boyfriend so he had them for me just a couple bui...

Dots, Stripes, and Colorful Things

Image
Somebody needs to tell me to stop wearing this yellow cardigan. I need a different bright color sometime soon, I think. I have a few outfits waiting to be posted and I now realize that about half of them include this cardigan. Oops. Oh well! I actually got a random compliment when I wore this outfit, so that made me feel good! I loved the mix of stripes and polka dots and the bright colors, of course. top; shorts: forever 21 cardigan; tights; shoes: target belt: thrifted tights: kmart earrings: charming charlie's Lightning bolt earrings. I love those things. I had yet another exam today and I think I may be coming down with a cold, but oh well. It's almost worse waiting to get sick when everyone else around you is already coughing up a storm, right? I'd rather just get it over with! I hope everyone had a nice week! My Valentine's day was pretty great and relaxing. The French onion soup turned out so tasty that we de...
