Outfit: Cameoko Jewelry, Blue Polka Dot Dress, and a Mint Green Bag

Image
Good morning! Today I'm pleased to introduce you to fantastic local Atlanta business, Cameoko , which is a line of handmade resin jewelry. Camille reached out to me after finding my pictures on Instagram and asked if I would be interested in trying out and styling some of her jewelry. I'm so glad she found me because now I know about this gorgeousness! (I already told Matt I want more Cameoko jewelry if he decides I need a pretty present sometime. Too bad my birthday is all the way in October.) I love how unique, yet versatile Camille's pieces are. They can be worn on super casual days or when you want to be fancy. You can tell she puts a lot of care into her work with the quality of the jewelry too. I don't have to be worried about anything breaking and the materials are high-quality and don't irritate my ears. Seriously, the surgical steel backs are wonderful. Not to mention Cameoko jewelry is affordable! Always a huge plus!  Pictured: (top) turquoise...

Outfit: Rust Orange Suedette Dress with Brown Leopard Print Tights

Image
Happy Monday! I don't know why it's taken me so long to show you this outfit because I love how it turned out. This suedette dress is a pretty new Boohoo purchase from their petite line. I don't have anything else in my wardrobe in this rust orange shade so it was a necessary addition. It just about matches my hair! When I bought it I didn't realize it would lean quite so bodycon rather than shift style but that's okay. The faux suede material has a decent amount of stretch but it does cling to my tights. For the debut of this super autumnal-hued dress, I paired it with some brown leopard print tights I've had in my drawer for quite a long time and some dark brown ankle boots. The gold dangly earrings were probably from a relative at some point. I really enjoyed how this outfit came together. So much that I'd probably wear all these pieces together again! dress: boohoo petites | tights: forever 21 | boots: traffic | earrings: old Happy ML...

Outfit: Fall-Colored Chevron Dress, Dark Green Tights, and a Red Short Sleeved Cardigan

Image
dress: modcloth | cardigan: ann taylor - thrifted | tights, shoes: forever 21 You most certainly can wear red and green without looking like Christmas threw up on you! The trick is using shades of red and green that aren't pure bright versions and instead using muted shades or jewel tones. Mixing in other colors helps too. My dress here includes red and green, but also gold, maroon, tan, and cream which draws away from the traditionally Christmas-tastic color pairing. Because of the many colors in this dress it goes with a ton of different tights and cardigan combinations too. It's one of my favorites in the fall because the colors match the trees. This time I styled it with a pair of very dark green tights, a short sleeved red cardigan I thrifted a couple years ago, and some brown high heeled oxfords that turned out to be way comfier than I remembered. I figured it was about time I showed you this super autumnal outfit before it's officially winter! What do yo...

Outfit: Houndstooth Mini Skirt, Black Turtleneck, Dotted Tights, and a Wool Beret

Image
I feel like this black and white outfit is a pretty classic look with a tiny bit of modern print mixing. It has a little bit of a 60s feel. The houndstooth skirt - yes it's houndstooth but it's hard to tell from far away - was a very early thrift find. It was hemmed into a mini skirt and I've been wearing it for years. This time I styled it with some tights with tiny dots, a fitted turtleneck shirt, a beret, and knee high boots. Something about tall boots and a mini skirt looks fantastic for fall. Also berets and turtlenecks. Hats can really make a look but I always forget to add them to my outfits. I have a drawer filled with four berets but they're tucked away and I forget they're there. Anytime I remember, they end up making my outfit 100% better though! This black one was from H&M and is the perfect size for my small head. Plus it kept my head nice and toasty during a walk around town! Now I just need to remember to wear my non-beret hats... s...

Outfit: Star Trek Ship Tank Top, Blue Skater Skirt, and Silver Heels

Image
Here's a little fun weekend outfit for you today! I picked up some clearance stuff on Forever21.com a while back and magically everything I bought looked good together. I just couldn't resist these 90s-tastic silver heels. They remind me of the Spice Girls. I definitely need to get some more wear out of these shoes before it's tights weather. Living in Georgia, that'll be a while longer, so I guess that's one positive thing about fall taking so terribly long to arrive (and stay). I also couldn't resist picking up another Star Trek muscle tee. It has all of the different star ships from various Star Trek series and shirts like this are so comfy. They perfectly shift over to loungewear after a long day! The blue textured skater skirt is new too. Can you really ever have too many skater skirts? Speaking of new-to-my-wardrobe clothes, I really need to go thrifting again soon. Then again, pulling out all my cool-weather clothes is like Christmas to me. I have s...

Work Outfit: Red Modcloth Sheath Dress, Zebra Print Cardigan, and Tan Peeptoe Heels

Image
In case you didn't know, Modcloth released their own line of Modcloth-branded designs last week. The line is filled with classic pieces with cute details like scalloped collars, bows, and ruffles. I was chosen as one of the lucky people to help show off one of their new pieces because the designs were inspired by their Style Gallery users. (I was so so excited!) They sent me this completely work appropriate and flattering bright red dress. As you probably know, I really love to wear red with my red hair , so it's a perfect dress for me! The My Byline of Work Dress seems very well made and sturdy. It's a slightly stretchy knit, but not the type that pills up after one wear. (Hooray!) The ruffled detailing at the bottom makes it more special than a regular sheath dress and makes it particularly fun to walk in since the ruffles wave around. It even has pockets for those cold days ahead (soon please?) when I need to keep my hands warm on the way to work. Unfortunately...

Outfit: Elephant Graphic Tank Top, Dotted Denim Skirt, Silver Sandals, & Red Sunglasses

Image
I'm just now getting to pictures from Fourth of July weekend but I'm really excited to share them! It's nice to have something different to show you. Matt and I took a short trip down to the very southernmost coast of Georgia to a town called St. Mary's and bopped around for about a day total. These photos were taken the first evening on the shore near its little downtown area.  This is what I wore in the car for hours so it had to be a super comfy outfit but still cute enough to wear around all day. I went with my new elephant graphic tank top I got at the Mother Mother concert and a light denim polka dot skirt. I wore my trusty silver sandals the entire trip - even on Cumberland Island - and they may have gotten a little dirty and gross. I still need to deep clean them somehow but I think they've definitely seen better days and there's no turning back. That's disappointing because they're probably the most comfortable sandals I own! Do you ever...

Outfit: Pinstriped Bow Neck Blouse, Navy Button Down Skirt, and Red Sandals

Image
Hey look! My hair is in a ponytail. I've never been a ponytail kind of girl but I must admit I've been enjoying switching it up. It's nice having the option of putting it up when my hair isn't looking in tip top shape between washes. I do miss having my short hair though! It pretty much always looked good and was super fast to blow dry. Someday it'll get the chop again! Now on to the clothes! This isn't labeled as a work outfit since it looks much more like my usual style, but I did wear it to work. The skirt is probably a bit too short for work but oh well. Fun fact: I've had this button down skirt from Forever 21 since 2010 and it's still going strong. This striped button down shirt is almost as old. Sometimes you just find great things that last and last from Forever 21. It's kind of like a thrift store in a way. There's tons of crap but you might find a gem. Or you might find something slightly crappy that you're still convinced y...

Mint Sweater, Purple Velvet Skirt, & Polka Dot Tights

Image
It's another post in the Georgia snow! Don't worry about my coat-less outfit. It wasn't really that cold outside. Only my feet were frozen in these little silver flats. They're not very insulated! They're not really that comfortable either, but that's another story. I've had this purple velvet skirt for a long time now so I figured I'd try combining purple with mint green. The blue tones in the sweater come out a lot more in photographs, but I promise it's mint green.  This wasn't my favorite outfit ever, but it's something I wore so I'm posting it. It was plenty warm and comfy for my snow day. Plus I wanted to wear a sweater on my time off since I have uniform tops to wear to work right now which means my sweaters are getting neglected. sweater, skirt, tights: forever 21 (all different years) | shoes: xhileration - target | bow: handmade from my cousin | earrings: from Mom These tights sure have held up well! I've had...
