Life Lately: AthFest 2014
Happy Monday everyone! I'm sorry this video is going up late but the weekend was busy so I'm behind on blogging stuff. I thought I'd give you a glimpse at my trip out to Athens last month for AthFest. There's a short video right in the middle of this post. Sometimes I feel like you get a better idea of the way something was through video rather than still photography. I just took a few clips while walking around downtown that day and pieced them together, so take a look at that if you're interested!

I'm kicking myself for not going to AthFest any of the other years I've been in Athens. Now that I'm moving back home (and then to a mystery location after this phase of my life), I'm not sure if I'll have the opportunity to go out there next year. The festival is music centered with free outdoor stages and a ton of other shows in the many music venues downtown. We went the free route this year and enjoyed whatever was playing outside.
There were neat arts & crafts booths selling local goods and there were plenty of food tents wafting delicious smells in our direction. Matt and I wandered over to a bar to meet some Redcoat Marching Band alumni for a few drinks before heading back out to listen to more music. We ended the night at Fuzzy's for some tacos and margaritas.

And in reverse chronological order, here are a couple shots from our first stop of the day, Mama's Boy restaurant. We chugged down tasty Jittery Joe's coffee and ate eggs benedict, a giant cinnamon bun, and biscuits. That place is so delicious and yet another place we didn't visit until the end of our time in Athens.

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend and are having a great start to your week!
