Red Patterned Romper, Blue Cardigan, Silver Sandals, & a Spiky Necklace

Image
Happy Friday everyone! Here are some of the pictures Matt and I took up on UGA's north campus a few days after graduation. People were still going around taking graduation pictures for at least a week afterward. I figured I could make an outfit post out of the photos we took so here it is! I had to wear red, of course, so I threw on this super comfortable red romper. This short sleeved cardigan matches the pattern in the romper perfectly so it had to be worn. (I've actually worn this same romper/cardigan combo before because it works so well.) Then I added some silver accessories. Comfortable to walk around in but cute enough for graduation pictures. I may share some pictures this weekend that aren't just me hanging around near the arch and the fountain. romper: forever 21 | cardigan: forever 21 | shoes: solanze - shoe carnival | necklace: sheinside I hope you've had a nice week. Mine went by so quickly! I'm still trying to get things checked off my to...

November Trip to the Georgia Botanical Gardens

Image
We finally got out to the botanical gardens to take some pictures among the fall leaves. I think we missed some of the foliage, but there was still plenty to look at. Matt likes going to the gardens and walking the trails and I try to keep up as I take way too many pictures. He humored me this time by letting me take pictures of us together. I try to add to the small collection of decent pictures we have whenever I get a chance. Let's just say we're opposites when it comes to having pictures taken of us. Luckily a few turned out alright this time! Going through the pictures was pretty hilarious. We're making weird faces in most of them or talking to each other. This next one was me gracefully slipping when I had the bright idea of taking a picture with that fungus-covered log on the left there. Luckily Matt was there to help me so I didn't end up with a lovely picture of me on the ground. What I'm wearing in case you were wondering: |...

A Day In My Life: Sunday Times

Image
A boring day in my life, but a day nonetheless. I thought I'd try a new type of post. I needed a bit of distraction today since I had so much school crap to do. But seriously, this day was boring. Enjoy! Noon: woke up, did some exciting dishes, waited for the coffee to brew. After dishes: coffee time. 1:45: Getting down to business. Reading academic articles at the kitchen table. 7:00: Tired of sitting on a wooden chair. Move to couch to read more crap. 8:20: Reading is done. Time for leftover white chili and red cream soda (the red makes it healthier, right?). 9:00: Watching The Dead Zone. 10:00: Chocolate time! Immediately after chocolate time: I hung up my new Uga poster. He's so cute. Now: I'm updating the blog and then I'll get back to school work. Sundays are becoming the bane of my existence, but I try to make them better with delicious treats and occasional TV breaks.  Happy Sunday!

Graduation Pictures with Awesome People

Image
My graduation wouldn't have been any fun without my family being there. My favorite pictures were ones with them and with Matt, so I decided I should post some of those. You'll probably notice we're not a serious bunch. However this first picture is my favorite picture of me and Matt ever. Family picture time! We like to think of varied and unique poses to keep the pictures interesting. I like to call this one "check face". It's a classic. This one is the result of a surprise piggy back ride: I hope you all had a nice weekend! All of my graduation festivities are over after my party yesterday. I'm pretty sure I won't subject you to any more graduation pictures. Thanks for all the congratulations!

My Graduation Pictures

Image
Here's some of my non-cap and gown graduation pictures. We took so many pictures it was hard to pick just a few! Maybe I'll throw in some of the more fun ones with me and my family another time, but these are just me. I got to wear my new Shabby Apple red lace dress. It had to be altered a little because I'm short waisted, but I'm really happy with how it looked on me afterward. I want to wear this dress all the time, but that would be frowned upon. I got to swing on the Chapel Bell again! I'm a sundial wizard? Most of my favorite pictures from this day are with my family. There's even a good one of me and Matt (which is a rarity)!  Maybe this weekend I'll share a couple of those. Looking at these pictures makes me want to go put on this dress again! I really like how classic it is. I also like how I probably won't look back at these pictures in years and wonder what I was thinking.  I can't believe...

I'm a Graduate!

Image
I graduated from the University of Georgia on Friday. I couldn't have asked for a better graduation day. Thursday was my convocation ceremony from the Grady College of Journalism & Mass Communication and it was a fantastic day too. (I'll post the pictures we took that day later.) Thanks for the congratulatory comments the past few days! Now I'm starting my couple months of relaxing before I start grad school in August. Hooray! Happy Sunday and happy Mother's Day too!

Pre-Graduation-Pictures Pictures

Image
Yesterday I went up to north campus with Matt to snap a few pictures before the actual graduation festivities begin. I'll be taking a bunch more with my family today and tomorrow, but I thought it'd be good to get a few practice poses in. Plus I could wear a more casual outfit in these - not that I'm not pumped to wear my new red lace Shabby Apple dress! We ended up running up there pretty quick in between the rain. It started pouring once we took out the tripod to take a few pictures together! So we ran. And that was the end of our Wednesday picture time adventure. These were taken with my new camera! Hooray! Ringing the UGA Chapel Bell: With the arch, the symbol of the University of Georgia. (It's a legend that if a freshman walks underneath it then they'll never graduate. So most students refuse to walk under it until they graduate, just in case. I haven't yet!): skirt, shoes, bow: forever 21 blouse: kohls belt: thrifted ...

This is not fashion; this is band

Image
Yesterday was UGA's senior day which marked the last time we seniors would perform in Sanford Stadium as Redcoat Band members. It's pretty strange to know that 8 years of marching is coming to an end. I've been marching since I was 13-years-old. Oh band. It's a love/hate relationship, but mostly love. I will go into detail with pictures from Saturday's game:    Love: that I met my boyfriend through marching band. Love: the funny people I've met along the way. Hate: waking up before the sun rises and practicing on game days Love: my senior flower which I feel like should have been included as part of our uniform for every game because they're so pretty. Hate: hats that never fit quite right with [more often than not] plumes that have lost half of their feathers. Love: being on a gigantic screen. (The side of my head is on the very left for our senior tribute.) Hate: the fact that these uniforms make you hot when it...
