Pre-Graduation-Pictures Pictures

Yesterday I went up to north campus with Matt to snap a few pictures before the actual graduation festivities begin. I'll be taking a bunch more with my family today and tomorrow, but I thought it'd be good to get a few practice poses in. Plus I could wear a more casual outfit in these - not that I'm not pumped to wear my new red lace Shabby Apple dress!

We ended up running up there pretty quick in between the rain. It started pouring once we took out the tripod to take a few pictures together! So we ran. And that was the end of our Wednesday picture time adventure.

These were taken with my new camera! Hooray!

Ringing the UGA Chapel Bell:

With the arch, the symbol of the University of Georgia. (It's a legend that if a freshman walks underneath it then they'll never graduate. So most students refuse to walk under it until they graduate, just in case. I haven't yet!):

I'll be participating in a convocation ceremony today! And then tomorrow is the big cap and gown graduation day. So be prepared for more UGA and graduation themed posts within the next few days.

Yay for graduation! Yay for such a cute outfit!

I like that cute like tradition. We have a tradition at my school about an arch too! However, our is an arch in a dorm, so people have to walk under it. We have a thing in the beginning of the year called storming of the arch and the freshman try to get through, with the upperclassmen (especially the rugby team) defending it; it says that if the freshmen get through they get free housing. They have never gotten through. :)

these are ADORABLE! and i've been to these places - i love knowing the places photos are taken at. i ate dinner at speakeasy and loved watching how people don't walk through the arch.

your skirt is so adorable - and those shoes are wonderful. and that top goes perfectly with it all. it must be such an exciting time for you - congrats!

You are very cute! I love that first picture. My alma mater has a similar deal to UGA's gate, except ours was with a seal on the floor of one of the main buildings. I still haven't stepped on it, even though I graduated four years ago! Congratulations on graduating :)

Botanical Fun

These pictures are from my outing to The State Botanical Garden of Georgia, which just so happens to be conveniently located about 8 minutes from my apartment. There were still a nice amount of flowers blooming so it was really pretty. I decided I needed to get more wears out of my pretty Steal the Game Show dress from Modcloth so I took some inspiration from other bloggers and wore it as a skirt! I actually really liked how this outfit turned out. Leather Scalloped Skirt, Polka Dots, & Orange Tights

Happy weekend everyone! I just had the most lazy weird Friday ever, so I'm updating later than usual. I basically slept on and off since class got done at noon. I know, I'm pretty exciting. This outfit was fun today though! I wore my leather skirt that we recently DIY scallop hemmed. I may post a little tutorial of sorts on how to do that, but it's pretty self explanatory. I like that the skirt is a little shorter now. It still squeezes my insides right at the waist, but it's more comfortable now that I'm having a few skinny months. Leather just doesn't have any give!
