Outfit: Teal Graphic Tee, Polka Dot Pleated Skirt, and Silver Platforms

If you've been around here a while you know I enjoy styling my graphic t-shirts and giving them life outside of the usual jeans + t-shirt routine. A particular favorite combination is a short skirt and a t-shirt. This time I styled my teal The Good Life shirt with a full polka dot pleated skirt. I wore this on the weekend and really wanted to  wear something that would match with my new Colourpop eye shadow in Mermaid Kiss which is a bright lime green shade, so I figured blue tones would work. Then I added my extra tall silver platforms from Forever 21 because why not? 

I've been experimenting with different makeup looks lately, especially during the weekends. A lot of my clothes are in storage since the whole townhouse falling through debacle, but I have most of my makeup with me still. It gives me an opportunity to still be creative with my looks even if I have to rewear outfits a bunch of times. So how is your week going so far? I'm honestly just trying to get through life until Dragon Con and then until my trip to Europe in October so things are just putting along. It'll be here soon though, I hope! My commute to and from work is ridiculous these days. I spent 3 hours in the car today, so that sucks. At least I have audiobooks from the library!

In other news, Riker's "Gotcha Day" was yesterday. We've officially had him a whole year now. He can still be a handful but he's much better behaved now and knows a bunch of tricks. He's such a weird dog too. We love him.

I love the skirt!!! It's so cute, and looks great with the tee. I really like a tee and short skirt too!

One time I wore a t-shirt with a skirt and my bf got so confused as to why I wasn't wearing a fancy shirt with it. Silly boys. This outfit is super cute! I just bought a polka dot skirt so I'll probably steal this idea from you! ;)

These pictures are from my outing to The State Botanical Garden of Georgia, which just so happens to be conveniently located about 8 minutes from my apartment. Work Outfit: Light Blue Jersey Knit Dress and White Block Heels

I'm a big fan of what I call "pajama dresses," which are really just jersey knit skater dresses . They're comfortable enough to sleep in, yet can look 100% put-together if styled nicely. That's exactly what I did with this light blue dress California-based shop Tobi sent me to style. (Someone even asked me why I was dressed so nice at the dog park! I told them I just came from work, of course.) For the debut of my newest pajama dress, I added my silvery beaded Stella and Dot necklace and a pair of white block heel sandals from Forever 21. I actually bought the shoes back in December on sale and had to wait for it to warm up to finally wear them. Leather Scalloped Skirt, Polka Dots, & Orange Tights

Happy weekend everyone! I just had the most lazy weird Friday ever, so I'm updating later than usual. I basically slept on and off since class got done at noon. I know, I'm pretty exciting. This outfit was fun today though! I wore my leather skirt that we recently DIY scallop hemmed. I may post a little tutorial of sorts on how to do that, but it's pretty self explanatory. I like that the skirt is a little shorter now. It still squeezes my insides right at the waist, but it's more comfortable now that I'm having a few skinny months. Leather just doesn't have any give!
